Showcasing Veerle Moreels!

Hi there! We hope you are having a great Saturday.

This weekend we are showcasing some of our favourite cards and projects from the awesome designers who are staying on the team.

Next up is the incredible Veerle Moreels!

My name is Veerle, I’m married and proud mom of 3 teenagers and I live in Belgium.

I’m a kindergarten teacher but I don’t teach anymore. I kind of rolled in the creative world when my kids were young and I had to find a way to take on all the photo’s I made of my children. That’s when I discovered scrapbooking and it all started for me. I started as a scrapbook consultant for a company in The Netherlands and internet brought me to mixed media and cardmaking today.

I love trying out all kind of different techniques and materials so I end up with all different styles of projects. My personal style however is the less cute style but slightly rougher style. Even though I do like to make CAS cards as well.

Here are just some of our most favourite projects from Veerle, who has now been on our Design Team for almost 2 years…

You will find more of Veerle’s beautiful projects over on her blog.

And of course you will find all the stamps used in these projects over in our SHOP!

We look forward to sharing more wonderful inspiration from Veerle over the coming months.

We will be back tomorrow with some stunning projects from Jane Tyrrell and Eileen Godwin.

Disguise..

Hi there! We have 2 awesome tags to share with you here on the blog this evening!

First up here’s Veerle Moreels with a fantastic video tutorial…

I love bringing things together that for me personally just go hand in hand, and today’s projects is no difference. So many times my brain and soul are just taking over when creating and then I lay down different tiny details that carry that little message.

There’s a reason why the bister is on there, why those tiny little speckles of tiny metal foil are on there and why these beautiful Visible Image stamps were combined.

It might just seem like a big black bauble on my project, and that’s perfectly ok. Creating is something you do for yourself in the first place. Now I could go and explain why this project became what it is but I don’t want to. I think it’s way more effective when you let people look at things without directing them in any way.

Enjoy the video..

Beautiful Dragonfly

Hello! We are back with more gorgeous inspiration this evening. Veerle Moreels is here with a beautiful card and a not one but two great videos too…

When I saw the newly released Visible Image ‘Family Definition’ stamps my head went over the top… All those beautiful words just waiting to be used on their own too. So this immediately popped in my head: would I be able to cut them up so stamping just one word became easier? Guess what…
( and I have it in video for you ^.^)

That means a lot of beautiful words to play with now they are all cut up ^.^

Now in that video I didn’t show how I made the background and there’s a reason for that. I had this happy accident happening when I started out this project ^.^

Stamps used:

Father Definition

Live in the Moment

Thank you Veerle.. wonderful videos, we could watch you creating water colour backgrounds all day! ♡

Of course our family definition stamps are fabulous stamped as they come too.. or you can mask off parts with tape too! So many possibilities…

You’ll find more stunning projects over on Veerle’s blog.
