Cheshire Cat + T-Shirt Stamps | Tag

Hello! We have stempelfrida here on the blog today with a fantastic project featuring our Cheshire Cat + T-Shirt stamps [the t-shirt is so versatile and a ‘must have’ for your crafty stash!].

I like to colour characters and this cheshire cat has inspired me. Today I have therefore combined two favourite stamps: The shirt and the cat. … and yes! with bright colors, just the way I like it: colorful, flashy and bizarre.

First I stamped the t-shirt stamp with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink [a light shade of purple] on black card stock. I fussy cut it, and coloured it with Polychromos pencils [you can see it in the later pictures].

I stamped the Cheshire Cat stamp head with Ink on 3 and coloured it with Copics and Polychromos. After fussy cutting, I painted the edges black, where the white paper shone through.

My background this time is a tag and not a card. The colours are acrylic paints that I applied with a brush. After drying, I drew the black borders.

The text, which is also included in ‘The Cheshire Cat’ stamp set, I stamped with a Versafine stamp pad.

I stamped the cat’s eyes several times with Ink on 3, coloured them with Copics and Polychromos, fussy cut them and attached them to the background with 1 mm spacer pads. Likewise the teeth on the top right.

The white scratches are painted with a Sakura pen.

I glued a black ring of cardstock onto the hole of the tag and then pulled through various ribbons. I then attached the cut-off text vertically to the tag.

Oh, I tell you, it is sooooo sooooo sad that these stamped shirts are not real shirts. On the other hand: My closet would burst at the seams.

T-shirt stamp | handmade card | you got this

When I made this card, I had so much fun. It’s so cool to create t-shirts with this set! I actually couldn’t stop at all. I hope you can see that a little bit in my collage. I made the “fabric” for the shirt using the shaving cream technique and the “Ripped Fishnet” stencil from Visible Image. I thought it looked so mega – a bit like snakeskin. That was perfect in combination with the lips. I stamped the shirt onto this background and fussy-cut it

I stamped the lips in a shade of red and colored them with polychromos. Then I also fussy-cut them and glued them on the shirt. That way I didn’t have to use masking techniques and the lips stand out more. So really yummy! For the background of my card, I took a design paper with a very lightly hinted pattern and stamped the saying many times on it. I used a greyish tone for it so that it would not be too bold. After this was dry, I stamped the dots from the set “Grunge Tones” with Versamark and embossed them in a burgundy tone.

I still had a bit of the “shirt fabric” left. From it I cut banners and stapled them to the card.

T-Shirt Stamp | Rock Star

Hello! We are back with more new stamps inspiration today! Lynda has made an awesome grungy card with our T-Shirt stamp and rock star icons, perfect for teens and rockers of all ages!

I really am loving the new release from Visible Image right now. So much so that I am blogging an extra card today as I just can’t stop playing with them!

The set I am featuring today is called NOTHING TO WEAR. Well, with this versatile T shirt, there’s a whole wardrobe full of options! The T Shirt stamp itself is blank, so imagine the possibilities for filling it. Perfect for male and female cards and works with all your smaller stamps. It also comes with some very cool stamps of it’s own which are perfect to make backgrounds as well as stamping on the top itself. Fabulously versatile!

I started this card with a gelli print that I had previously made using the COUNT ME IN stencil.

I stamped and embossed over it with the new GRUNGE TONES stamp set, also from this release.

I added another layer for more texture and interest, spreading Izink Ice through the SQUARE ROUTE stencil.

As it dries opaque it doesn’t cover up the detail, which makes it a great medium for adding depth to a project.

I stamped the t shirt onto a piece of card that I have previously painted wavy lines on using a splatter brush and fussy cut it, stamped and embossed some stars to layer over the background. The Birthday sentiment is from the new LOST FOR WORDS set.

Mark will be on Create and Craft TV today and will have some amazing demos for you, and of course all the samples made by myself and my talented team mates!

This is such an awesome grungy card! Loving all the texture and layers on the background! Thank you Lynda ♡
