Good Times

Good Evening! We are back with more fabulous inspiration this evening..

Lynn Good is here with a gorgeous scrapbook layout…

Today I would like to share a layout that I have created for the Visible Image Design Team.

When I started this layout I had no idea what I was going to do but I did know I wanted to create using bright colours, so I have used water colour paper and randomly stamped around where my picture would be using the Imperfection is Beauty Stamp collection

I then decided I would fussy cut out some bright coloured flowers so I used another piece of water colour paper and created colour using Dylusions Ink Sprays and water

I added layers of colour drying in between and continually adding water and letting them take their own course.  Once I was happy with the colours I spritzed the whole piece with water and ran a roll of paper towel across it to pick up some of the colour and leave random whiter marks.

I have then stamped the flowers and fussy cut them out.

I have stamped the saying ‘Good Times’ from the No Regrets Stamp collection and embossed with Lindys Stamp Gang Embossing powder.  I didnt want straight edges so I have cut around the letters and placed onto my layout.

Here are some close ups:

I have defined the centre of the flowers with white and black paint pens

Imperfection is Beauty

Hello! We are back with our 2nd dose of gorgeous inspiration today.

Lynn Good has created a fabulous scrapbook page…

Hi, today I would like to share a layout that I have created for Visible Image using 3 of their wonderful stamp sets.

I began by creating the watercoloured flowers – I have stamped onto watercolour paper and embossed the flowers in black embossing powder.  I have then used Inktense Blocks to colour – I love the vibrant colours they give.

Once dried I have fussy cut them out.   I also heat embossed the title with Lindy Stamp Gang Embossing powder – Venus Violet Blue.

Around where my photo is going to be I have embossed the larger flower in the Venus Violet Blue embossing powder – I didnt want the entire flower – more mark making

I have created a photo matt using paper from the same collection – 7 Dots Hazy Days and inked the edges in Tim Holtz Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade. By placing the photo matt on my layout I was able to stamp some circles and cats in the correct position

I then placed the flowers around the layout and added my photo and it was complete.

Dare To Swim

Good Evening! Elisa Ablett is here on the blog today with a really beautiful scrapbook layout…

Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the design team for Visible Image with my next share for the month.

I wanted to showcase just how versatile the awesome stamps at Visible Image are by creating a multi dimensional mixed media layout featuring ‘Dare to Swim’ and ‘The Ripple Effect’ stamp sets.

To start with I stamped on Acetate with black Staz On Ink and fussy cut the images out and set them aside while I created my background.

The background colours and texture is created with Distress Ink Oxides, Distress stains and ART -C water brush pen.
I stamped ‘The Ripple Effect’ stamp on the background using the distress ink oxide ink pads masking half of the stamp off to create a half circle pattern. When you stamp them together they look like a wave!

Add some more stamping in black using the smaller bubble stamps from the Ripple Effect set across your page along with the fish from Dare to Swim.

Here are some close ups of the finer details!
