Destination Unknown | Paper Plane Stamps

Hello! We hope you had a good weekend. We decided to take some much needed ‘time out’ in the sunshine which was lovely! We have so much inspiration to share this week and we are on Create + Craft TV on Thursday [details below]. Stempelfrida is kicking off the week with a fantastic card featuring our Destination Unknown set which includes the paper plane stamps…

Discover, explore, the unknown: the greatest adventure is what lies ahead!

What do you want to discover? What lies ahead of you? Maybe only in your dreams? Yes, these are difficult times for big steps, we have to limit many things. But our dreams always remain with us and in them we can wish for everything, imagine everything. And that feels sooo good! And you know what? There are dreams that are so beautiful because we can dream them and because they are not real. As dreams they are the most beautiful.

I had the idea of a pastel card with a wall and a light feel. The wall is made up of small pieces. In the middle I have left a breakthrough.

For the background I wiped a background with three colors Distress Oxides. On this I stamped different patterns with the same colors and stamped the saying on the white stripe at the bottom. I chose a shade of gray for this to keep the lightness. I have also stamped the paper plane in this tone and colored it with Polychromos pens.

I used water to create bright dots on the background and also added white splashes with a Posca brush pen. The texts should be easy to read, but not too dominant. Therefore I embossed them in white.

At the edges I added a little bit of doodling in a gray tone. Some of the small circles I have first emphasized with white and then in yellow and orange.

But before we go, we must share one last sample with you! Pauline has got her hands on our awesome paper planes stamps…

Hi there,

It’s Fabulous Friday, and my time to share a little Visible Image love.

Mark Alexander, designer and owner of Visible Image, will be on your screen’s tomorrow, Saturday 22nd April, on Create & Craft at 10am, do tune in to see him work his magic.

Here is one of the cards I created for the show…

The very cool and different stamp set I used is…

The background was Salty Ocean Distress ink, on which I rolled a scrunched up baby wipe, to make the cloud effect. I then stamped the planes and the sentiments using black Versafine, added some Picked Raspberry to the planes, then used water and a paintbrush to add the highlights, and finished off with the pen dashes. And, no glitter, hahahaha !!!!!

Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow to see our awesome Mark.

Hugs, Pauline xxxxx

What a fantastic background for the planes.. gorgeous clouds! Thanks Pauline ♡
