Live In The Moment
Good morning, afternoon or evening! Wow this week is going quickly!
Teresa Morgan is here to inspire you on the blog today with a fantastic mixed media project…
Good Morning!! Have you been enjoying the new release previews?? The DT have and we can’t wait to get our hands on them to start creating some inspirational samples for you all!! For now we are contenting ourselves by playing with our existing stash…this week I have a mixed media journal page to share – I have lots of step by step photos to help you through the creative process, hope you enjoy it!
I started by Mod Podging some book page and corrugated card to my background piece of cardstock:
I added some lace and mesh before painting a layer of gesso to blend it all in and prepare for ink/paint:
Sprays are so easy to use:
Some are misted over the page, others I tapped in blobs to create more visual interest:
Let this dry… and work on the tag. I stamped the music score and blended inks around the edge:
The dragonfly is stamped with Archival ink and coloured with the Dylusions and Cosmic Shimmer sprays:
Back to the main piece – I added some stencil detail with black modelling paste:
The sentiment is embossed with black powder and highlights added with a white gel pen:
You can see some of the pretty gold shimmer here too:
I love all the texture details:
Little doodled detail:
Even the lace picks up the sparkle and shimmer:
Some details added with a white gel pen and black fineliner complete this page….
thanks for sticking through all the pictures, I hope that they help explain how I build this type of project!!

Sunset on Butterfly Valley – Visible Image
Hello! We’re catching up with all the latest Design Team inspiration here on the blog.
Jane Tyrrell has a wonderful journal page to share with you, inspired by her recent holiday…
I decided to make a Moment for my art journal to remember our 2016 Rhodes holiday. I wanted to celebrate the sunshine, heat and our trip to the Butterfly Valley. To do this I used my butterfly stamp from the brilliant Own Kind of Beautiful Visible Image set. I also used the words from the Live in the Moment dragonfly set.
First I embossed my Visible Image butterflies, and then coloured them with distress markers in the same colours as those from the Butterfly Valley.
I wanted to represent the autumnal sun so I added gold embossing paste through my Tim Holtz sun stencil.
I chose some warm sunny distress ink colours to blend my background in my art journal.
Once I was happy with my background I stencilled some leaves.
I made my focal by stamping and embossing my words into the centre of a Tim Holtz clock die cut, which I had coloured with distress inks.
I also coloured some snippets of card to die cut leaves and branches to represent the beautiful trees in the Butterfly Valley
and then it was time to put on my creative hat.
Here is my finished Moment..

When I look at this page in my art journal it takes me straight back to the sunshine and the memories we made during our wonderful September autumn holiday. Every moment was indeed very special.
Thanks so much for visiting today. The weather has again been glorious for most of this week but it’s turning chillier by the day…I actually got out and wore my winter jacket for the first time on Monday. Autumn is very much here now.
Bye for now,
Jane x
Fabulous page Jane, those sunset colours are wonderful Autumn inspiration too ♡

Monday Inspiration Part 1 @ Visible Image
Good Morning! Hope you had a great weekend 🙂
This coming week is packed full of gorgeous inspiration created with our NEW stamps, leading up to our show on Create and Craft TV on Sunday at 10am… Valentine’s day… a perfect day to spread some Visible Image LOVE! ♡ ♡ ♡ And we know you will love not only the products on the show but the amazing demo’s Mark and Pauline have planned! We can’t wait!!!
Today we have 2 awesome projects here on the blog. First up is our US Design Team member Kim Johnny with her very first Monolith…
Today I am so excited to share my first project made with the awesome new products by Visible Image!! Yay!
As part of the design team, I was very grateful to be given some of the new MDF “Monoliths” and new stamps to play and share today. The Monoliths and Dragonfly “Live in the Moment” are available for pre-order now!
This play was lots of fun and I really tried to use everything I love in making it!

The flip side is collaged with mat medium and DecoArt Fluid Acrylics. It is edged in the DA Fluid Acrylic Gold, love the shine it has.
Everything is heat embossed because I love embossing and dragonflies. So I had to combine all the things I love in this project. It makes them shine 🙂 I used Ranger Extra Fine Black and Recollections Bronze powders.
