Leave Your Fears Behind

Hello there! Nice to see you here today!

Design Team member Dot Leathbridge is here to inspire you with her latest project…

This is a beautiful stamp set from Visible Image which I haven’t played with for ages, so that needed fixing!

I’ve been slowly trying out the oxides to see how they compare to regular distress inks for different techniques … so for this card it is about seeing how it works with the ‘acrylic block’ technique.  And it worked!  The main colour used is Iced Spruce.  The splash of colour was Broken China, applied with a piece of plastic.  This is to fit in with the ‘Splash Of Colour’ theme for this month’s challenge in the Visible Image Facebook group.

A little doodling of hearts and a few splashes of black ink finishes it off.  It doesn’t feel like it needs any more than this.

Stamps used are from the ‘Leave Your Fears‘ set

Fantastic card Dot! Loving the effects with the oxides ♡

Leave Your Fears Behind @ Visible Image

Hi there! Thanks for coming to visit us.

Teresa Morgan has an awesome new card to share with you today…

I loved this set when it was first released, and the new improved version is just amazing!! The addition of some tiny birds and the detailed branch border make it so versatile.

I stamped and embossed the large crow with black embossing powder onto some white cardstock then used a Sizzix die to cut the torn edge top and bottom. (I carefully cut around the base of the bird with scissors). I then die cut the strip that was to go along the bottom edge. Both these pieces were coloured with Distress Inks to create a burnt effect.

Leave Your Fears Behind - Visible Image stamps

I took another piece of card, stamped and embossed the border stamp in white, and used yellow and orange Distress Inks to colour behind. This piece is attached to the card base behind the main piece and bottom strip.

I stamped and embossed the tiny birds, and added some orange Distress Ink to the design on the large crow. The sentiment is stamped and embossed onto another scrap of card, and given the  same treatment with Distress Ink.

Brilliant card Teresa thank you! Love the torn edges and atmospheric background ♡

Created By Mark Alexander @ Visible Image

Hi there! Hope you’re having a good day!

Today on our blog we are sharing the cards Mark created on our Create & Craft TV show in December.

Vision INKognito Set

Visible Image stamps - Inky Eye Stamp - Mark Alexander

I stamped and embossed the eye in black, then using distress inks and a water brush I started to add the colours one by one which I blew away from the image, letting them run and drip. I repeated this underneath the eye.

I prefer to use an empty BIC pen for this technique, its the best tool I’ve found for the job! And very cheap too!

I coloured the pupil, also using my water brush and distress inks.

I stamped the gorgeous ‘Where Dreams Take You’ sentiment in black, and added a touch of colour to some of the letters.

You can see the shine of the embossing on this photo…

I’ve already seen a few people having a go at this technique since the show, and am glad I inspired a few people!

Leave Your Fears Set

Visible Image stamps - Crow Tree Stamp - Leave Your Fears Behind - Mark Alexander

I created a sun stencil and coloured it with distress inks. I added plenty of water along the bottom, and let the colour run down the page.

The crow tree and sentiment were both stamped in black versafine ink.

I stamped and embossed the crow tree on a separate piece of card, and fussy cut the crow. This was then stuck on top of the stamped image, raised with foam pads to give extra dimension.

Hope you enjoyed my demo’s if you caught the show. I’ll be back on your screens in early February so keep an eye on our Events Page for the date!

Have No Fear – Visible Image stamps

Good Evening! Hope you’ve had a good Monday 🙂

We are kicking off a new week of fabulous inspiration from the team with Kim Bacon…

Another Monday has arrived!  Hopefully you all had a good weekend?

Today I am featuring a card I made using one of the totally awesome Visible Image stamps along with a piece of paper that very nearly went in the bin!

Visible Image stamps - Leave Your Fears Behind - Crow Tree stamp - Kim Bacon

You know I love making backgrounds? Well, I cover my desk with a piece of cheap paper before starting any painting and spraying so I don’t get the cutting mat dirty. I have a huge mat and am just too lazy to move it off the desk.

Anyway, as I am also a bit careful with my supplies, I keep these pieces of paper to use again and again. The resulting ‘mess’ can sometimes be very pleasant. Here, let me show you what I mean…

Kim Bacon - background

Kim Bacon - background 2

The card I made with a piece of this paper features the lovely flying bird and tree silhouette..

 Leave your Fears

Visible Image INKognito Leave your Fears Tree Bird stamps

I stamped the image using a Tim Holtz distress embossing powder hence the grainy look.

Kim Bacon - close up - Leave Your Fears Behind

I covered a piece of card with the image because the paper is quite thin. I didn’t leave enough space for the sentiment so I stamped it onto a piece of heat resist acetate which I secured with some eyelets and beads at one side. The curve helped fit the sentiment on!

Hope you like it?

See you next week for another Marvellous Monday and in the mean time enjoy your week, get crafty and show us what you have been up to!

Happy Days!  Kim

Fantastic card from Kim.. stunning background and it just goes to show that you shouldn’t throw anything away! You will find more of Kim’s inspiring work over on her blog and on her KimzKrafts Facebook Page 🙂

We will be back tomorrow for Soozie Tuesday with Sue Joseph!

Have a great evening…  Mark is busy designing after a busy day of stamp making! No rest for the wicked hey 😉

Hopes and Fears – Visible Image stamps

Hi There! Thanks for coming to see us today 🙂

Tomorrow we will be heading to Port Sunlight for our very first time exhibiting at the Happy Stampers show! Really looking forward to it 🙂 We are all organised and ready so we shall be having an evening off tonight! Yay!

On to today’s inspiration. The fabulous Teresa Morgan is here with two awesome cards for you…

Spring has been a mixture of of bright sunshine and stormy showers in the UK, so I wanted a splash of bright colour in my craft projects to cheer up the gloomy mornings.

My first card features the beautiful Woman INKognito stamp which I have teamed with two of the newer stamp sets, Drag and Drip, and Leave Your Fears.

Visible Image stamps - Inky Woman cameo - Teresa Morgan

I stamped the woman with three shades of Distress Ink, offsetting the design each time. Then I stamped her with Versamark and embossed with black embossing powder.

The sentiment was stamped with black Versafine ink. I felt that something was needed at the top, so used one of the Drag and Drip stamps to create a corner in black and pink.

My second card is a CAS (a personal challenge for me!)

Visible Image stamps - There Is Always Hope - Teresa Morgan

I stamped the star from the Universal set in Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink randomly over the card front. The sentiment is stamped with black Versafine and matted onto yellow card. I added a Prima gem to the centre of the ‘O’.

Don’t forget that there is still time to enter the DT call, all the details are HERE.

Two fantastic cards from Teresa. Our Woman INKognito looks stunning… don’t you think it looks like her aura is glowing? Gorgeous colours <3  The sentiment on the second card is so beautiful, and goes perfectly with the stars. You’ll find more of Teresa’s brilliant work over on her blog.

There’s soooooo many you’re going to be spoilt for choice, I love them all, I know I DT for them and I may be biased but they truly are awesome and so bespoke, top quality and excellent value for money!

Look at this beautiful stamp set!!!
Isn’t it a stunner? I love it, the detail is exceptional and the sentiment is perfect.

All I used were 2 inks….. Spiced Marmalade and Seedless preserves and some white card……Simples!

I covered the 2 white pieces in spiced marmalade and flicked and sprayed water, inked my stamps in seedless preserves and stamped  away and then inked the borders of 2 frames in seedless preserve for the frames, added some gems! It was that easy, I love just using 2 colours and these stamps stamp so perfectly, its easy to just stamp, stamp and stamp some more!

It doesn’t have to be difficult, with lots of different mediums to look great, simple colours can look just as awesome!

Fear is Behind You Now – Visible Image stamps

Hello! 🙂

Here is our third and final post today! So much awesome inspiration from our amazing team this week. You’ll find all our previous posts right HERE

Over to Zoey Emanuela Scarpelli…

Hello Crafters!

Today I will show you, as every saturday, a new ATC using stamps from Visible Image.
As I did in my last post,  that you can check it here , I used only one stamp set and products from Luminarte/Colourarte

The stamp sent I have used for this ATC is:

– Leave your fears

I misted my background using Radiant Rains directly on the card stock cut in a ATC size and I usedAutumn Leaf and Teal Zircon. I also add some color to the borders, added 3D Matte Gel throuh a stencil and heat set it with the Embosser.

Since the 3D Matte Gel is transparent you can see through the color from the background.

And here’s the finished ATC :
