A Jazzy Birthday | Music Stamps

Hi! We are back with more musical inspiration this evening. Jane’s awesome card features our JAZZ IT UP stamps and more…

Good Evening

Today I can finally share the card I made for my Hb’s birthday in January. He has weekly piano lessons and is really becoming a very accomplished player. We also recently watched the Disney film “Soul” and I knew the perfect stamps to use to make his card!

This is what I got up to

I added some Violet storms Infusions to mixed media card

I cut it to  down to 4 1/2 by 6 1/2″ and stamped the keys from Jazz it up  around the edge in black Versafine.

I then added the music notes swoosh from the Sing set

Next up were the jazz players themselves which I stamped in red and blue Versafine Claire.

I added some white details and finally I stamped and matted up the Happy Birthday sentiment onto black card.

It was then time to put everything together.

Here is my finished card

Supplies

jazz stamps | trumpet | sax | piano keys

singer stamp | microphone | music notes

happy birthday verse stamp | sentiment

Thanks for stopping by today.

Bye for now,

Jane x

We are loving this card design! The colourful Jazz musicians look awesome against the monochrome background. Thank you Jane ♡

Alphabet Jazz

Hi there! Thanks for visiting our blog today!

Elina Strömberg is here with some Jazzy inspiration this evening…

Hi and Happy Thursday!

Today I’m sharing with you a birthday card I made using stamps from three Visible Image stamp sets:

I started the project with inking the background with a few shades of pink/red Distress inks, using darker tones on the edges and lighter in the middle.

Once the background was ready I stamped and heat embossed the saxophone player on the card. Love his cool silhouette!

The musical bubbles are stamped and heat embossed too. I used the double circle stamp from the ‘Rays of Light’ set, as the large circle was just the right size to fit the letter stamps from the new ‘Alphabetical’ set.

Before stamping the letters into the circles I removed the ink from the heat embossed bubbles: Distress inks react well with water, so I brushed plain water on the circles, let it react for a few seconds, and then picked up the ink by pressing it with a paper towel. The little white spots were done the same way; using a small brush I put drops of water on the inked surface, let it sit for a while, and pressed with a paper towel. Works like magic!

Wishing you a wonderful evening.
