Imperfection is Beauty

Good Evening! Lisa Taggart is here with some super stunning inspiration for you this evening…

Here at Visible Image I have a little something to brighten your day, I hope!

This mixed media piece combines stencilling leftovers; sparkly texture paste; stamping and frantage. What more could you want !!

Here are today’s star products:

Imperfection is Beauty

Cosmic Skies stencil

Strobes stencil

I began using a piece of card where I had blotted ink off my strobe stencil when using it for another project . I love left overs. Actually sometimes I prefer them! I thought my scrap inked card would look nice with some sparkly texture paste on top.

Next I stamped and embossed some flowers, stems and sentiment using black sparkle embossing powder. I experimented a bit adding some frantage fragments as texture and some black micro beads after the flowers were cut out. I also stamped onto inked scrap card for added interest and intensified the colour using my Spectrum Noir acohol markers.

The morale of this story is never throw away your interesting scraps! Also a little texture can breathe life into any project.

Until next time.

Imperfection is Beauty – Visible Image

Hi there, thanks for visiting us 🙂

Nicky Gilburt is here to inspire you on the blog today with a gorgeous card…

Here’s my latest card.

The main stamps used are from Imperfection is Beauty, and the background features two stamps from The Ripple Effect

How apt that this is the set that I chose to play with, I had previously made a set of backgrounds with Distress inks, spritzers and paints, and this was one of my least favourites, as I felt it was less than perfect, the ink hadn’t spread evenly across the sheet, making a mottled effect botttom left. However….

when I stamped the two scripty flowers onto separate pieces of coloured card, and cut them out, it all seemed to work. And I thought that the effect actually seemed….right!

I used the bubble circle outlines and stamped and embossed with white, making it super easy to roughly fill them in with watercoloured distress ink. I used the same colour to stamp the other full circles, to tie them together, and stamped random patterns round the edge of my design to add interest and highlights.

Visible Image Debut – Corrie Herriman

Hi there!

We’re really excited to share the very first project by NEW Design Team member Corrie Herriman today!

Hello everyone,

This is my first project for the Visible Image Design Team. I am very happy to be here. Yay !!!!

I made an art journal page ; what else ???

Visible Image stamps - Me Time - Journal Page - Inky Flowers _ Corrie Herriman

I have used the fabulous  Flower INKognito set and the sentiment calledme time‘.
This page was started with a piece of pattern paper by Prima Marketing from the Epiphany Collection called “Devine Exposure”. I stamped the three flowers on it with a very light pink ink. Next I used a brayer and brayered some turquoise blue acrylic paints on the edges. I used two or three shades. I also used a little pink to give it some more interest. You can still see some of the pattern paper through the paints. I then took my Polychromos coloured pencils by Faber Castell and coloured over the flowers. I used three shades of pink and some yellow and orange.

I then drew in the stems and coloured them with a black and a white gel pen.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment on a piece of the same paper, coloured the edges with a pink coloured pencil, cut it into strips and adhered it to the page.

That was it !

You will find the lovely stamps of Visible Image HERE
Thank you so much for stopping by today !

Wow what a stunning page! Loving the funky stems and your background is gorgeous… thanks Corrie! ♡

Love Yourself – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening! Hope you have had a great weekend.

Kim Johnny is here with some more fantastic mail art created (of course) with some of our awesome stamps!

Here’s Kim…

Today I want to share a postcard for my weekly Visible Image creative make.

2015-09-13 Visible Image stamps - Inky Flower stamp - Love Yourself - Kim Johnny

The postcard is 4 inches by 6 inches and cut from Canson Mixed Media paper.  I picked my go to soothing colors of Distress Ink, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon. I added the happy bubbles with an ARTplorations stencil and DecoArt modeling paste.

The word art sentiment Love Yourself is part of the No Regrets set. I heat embossed all the stamps in white EP, Ranger Superfine

I think Flower INKognito is my most favorite Visible Image stamp…it is so fun to use in so many ways. I hope someday there would be a smaller version and some cousins for this beauty 🙂

I adore the stem is a separate piece from the flower. The stem works great for any grungy touch needed 🙂 It is a fantastic set.

Distress Inks, Clingfilm & Gorgeous Visible Image Stamps!

Hello 🙂 We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you!

Over to Pauline Butcher…

Hi again,
Another week gone, and I’m back to share three cards I’ve made using some of the very unique stamps from Visible Image.
I have used the same inking technique on all three cards, using glossy cardstock, Distress Inks applied with a Brayer, and then clingfilmed until dry. I love the effect it gives.
The first card was stamped in versamark and then heat embossed using black powder. The Visble Image stamps I used were…..
Behind Every MaskBirds and Feathers from Free Your Imagination and Happy Birthday.

Visible Image stamps - Crow Mask stamp - Pauline Butcher

I used the inky side of the flower stamp and distress inks to edge this card, and again heat embossed the main images.
The stamps used here were….. Flower INKognito and an older Visible Image sentiment, that some of you might have.

And again I used a stamp from the set with Distress inks, to edge this card, and  some frantage powder below the horse.
This is one of my favourite sets to use……  Revolution

Inky Birthday Flowers – Visible Image stamps

Good Afternoon! Hope you are having a fantastic weekend!

We have so much gorgeous inspiration to bring you today from our awesome team! 🙂

First up, here’s Pauline Butcher with some very special cards…

Hi there,
This will be my last Visible Image Stamps blog for a couple of weeks, as I’m off to the seaside for a well earned rest, lol !!!!
My first card was made for the lovely Helen Michelle’s Birthday (Visible Image Stamps co-owner and marketing wizard, stamp packer, blog writer and general dogsbody, lol)
This is the card I made her, using her favourite stamps and colours (I hope)…..

Visible Image stamps - Flower INKognito - Inky Flower - Happy Birthday - Pauline Butcher
The stamps I used were…….
I created the background using shaving foam and Dylusion sprays, I heat embossed the Flower Inkognito using black powder, and then painted them with purple Stickles, I used the flower from the Happy Birthday set around the edges, and heat embossed the sentiment to match.
My second card is a little ‘Thank you’ card….

Visible Image stamps - White Feather stamp - Thank You - Pauline Butcher
The stamps I used here are…..
The feather from Angels are Near and the sentiment from the Thank you Set’.
The background is Alcohol Inks on a Glossy Card, the feather was first stamped in Black Stazon ink, along with the sentiment. I then stamped the feather using Versamark onto some black card, and heat embossed in White powder. I fussy cut this out, shaped it and using Gel Glue, added it to the background but offset it a little to give the illusion of a shadow, I put some Stickkles on the top for sparkle.

A few days left to enter the Visible Image ‘Show and Tell’, for a chance to win some new stamps, all the details are HERE.
Check out the Visible Image Facebook Group, with lots going on HERE
Thank you for visiting, and I shall be back a little browner, if English weather permits, and a lot rested.
Big hugs, Pauline xxxx

Thank you so much Pauline for your gorgeous Birthday card (yes definitely my fave stamp & colours!) and thank you for your very special ‘Thank You’ card too <3 They are even more stunning in real life! Have an awesome holiday 🙂

You’ll find more of Pauline’s gorgeous work over on her blog.
