Dream.. Inspire.. Imagine

Hello and Happy Easter! We hope you are enjoying a break from routine, and spending time with your favourite people. We are taking a couple of days off, enjoying some family time (and eating a little bit too much chocolate!), before the madness of the Ally Pally craft show preparation starts on Tuesday!!

Lanette Erickson has another gorgeous tag to share with you today…

Hello All!

Today it is my turn to share & hopefully inspire you here on the Visible Image Blog, and I just had to create something with this Dragonfly. So, I decided that I would create a layered tag with him as the star of the show!

Products Used: Visible Image Stamp Sets- Imagine Dream Inspire, De-Stressed, Ink Splats & Live in the Moment. Lindys Stamp Gang Sprays- Rusty Lantern Lime, Bells of Ireland Green, Green with Envy Green & Luminous Yellow. Art Anthology Sorbet- Cayman & Tink. Ranger- Electric Lime & Caribbean Coast Ink Pads. Versa Mark Black Ink. White Uniball pen. Ranger Glossy Accents. Misc Ribbon. Prima- Watercolor Paper. Wafer-Thin Umbrella Dies.

Now lets take a close look at my tag….

I just love the Dragonfly in the ” Live in the Moment Stamp Set” he is absolutely beautiful! So I had to fussy cut him to really make him POP. I also stamped directly on the tag too.

Here you get better look at the titles that from the “Dream Inspire Imagine Stamp Set” While I love the definitions in this set, I really only wanted the bold titles for this tag. So with just a bit of selective inking I had my bold words.

If you look closely, you will see there really is a lot going on in the background of my tag. I used both the De-Stressed & Ink Splats Background Stamp Sets.

Now make sure you stop by and join the fun over in our Visible Image Facebook group!

Gilded Frame – Visible Image stamps

Good Evening 🙂 Thank you for stopping by today.

We are here with our second dose of gorgeous inspiration, this time from Teresa Morgan…

Hello again and thank you for coming by to see what I am sharing this week. I have used some of my fantastic Visible Image stamps to decorate a plain and boring picture frame that I picked up in a charity shop.

Visible Image stamps - Gilded Frame - Imagine Dream Inspire - Teresa Morgan

I coated the frame with black gesso to give a good base for the decoration, then used some clear texture paste and a stencil to add some detail in the corners. Once this was dry I used blue and green gilding wax to highlight the stencilled areas. I also added some gilding wax around the aperture.

Now I could get my stamps out and have some more fun! I used the Grunge Flourish stamp and crackle stamp (from the Time after Time set) all around the edges. I stamped them with Versamark ink and used gold embossing powder.

Then I stamped and embossed the  words in the remaining spaces. To finish I added some gold mica flakes in a couple of areas for extra sparkle.

Imagine Dream Inspire – Visible Image stamps

Hello There! Hope you had a great weekend!

Thanks so much for coming to see us here on the Visible Image stamps blog today 🙂 As always on a Monday the very talented Kim Bacon is here to inspire you…

Hello! Well, I don’t know what it was like for you over the weekend but it was bloomin’ lovely here! Fab amounts of sunshine, nice and warm, and altogether very ‘summery’. Let’s hope that it keeps going right through till October!

There was also the eclipse which at first glance seemed to be spoiled by an unusually thick fog. However, this worked to my advantage as it allowed me to get some fab shots. Here is one of the 100+ shots I took! This one was taken about 9:35 so at the height of the eclipse. It was eerily quiet and everything was bathed in a yellow glow.

Right, on to the matter in hand, my inspirational make for Visible Image. I have been reading a lot about this tissue technique just lately. Well, let me tell you I have been doing it for ages! I stumbled across it purely by accident when I placed a very wet and inky piece of kitchen roll onto a piece of card by mistake. Initially I was annoyed at the waste of the piece of card but quickly realised that it was actually a good use of the inky tissue!

This little book is made form a piece of card which had a soggy wet inky tissue laid out on it, I intended to use the tissue for another project so I had opened it out to dry quicker. I was doubly pleased as the card it was lying on ended up with some beautiful staining.

All in all a very pleasing result I think. I am crazy about making these little books at the moment, they take a little while but make a change from my other current project, my ATC365 which is a quick 30 minute project once a day. These books give me something to get involved in.
