Stay Wild Tag | Horse Stamp

Hi there! We are having a heatwave here in the UK [which we really aren’t used to!]. We hope you are managing to stay cool if the temperature is rising where you are! Ericka is here on the blog today with some HOT colours on a gorgeous handmade tag featuring our amazing grungy horse stamp and ‘stay wild’ sentiment…

Happy Tuesday! Today I’m playing with the Visible Image ‘Stay Wild’ set to make a bookmark for my daughter’s friend who just happens to love horses.

Horse Stamp | Stay Wild sentiment | Tag | embossing | gelli print | paints

I started out by using a background that I had previously made using my gel press and Distress Paints. I used some black paint around the edges and then stamped the horse image using my MISTI in Versafine black ink. I clear embossed the image to help it pop off the background a bit.

I didn’t like the white spot at the top of my tag, so took a little more Distressed Paint in ‘Cracked Campfire’ to blend it in. Once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment in embossing ink and used white embossing powder. I added some black pen details around the sentiment to make it look a little rustic and then splattered it with white ink.

Once everything was dry, I used some black twine for the top.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!

This is such an awesome tag! Loving the texture of the distress paint and the embossed horse stamp. Gorgeous colours too! Thank you Ericka

Butterfly Effect Stamps | Handmade Bookmark

Hello! It’s almost the weekend! Yay! We hope you have some good things planned. Ericka is here on the blog today with a gorgeous handmade bookmark created with our stunning BUTTERFLY EFFECT stamps…

Happy Friday! I hope you are all doing well. Summer is in full swing at my house which means some time to relax and hopefully read a couple of books. What better way to keep track of my page than to create a bright and pretty bookmark with the Visible Image ‘Butterfly Effect’ stamp set.

To start making my bookmark, I took out a leftover background I had made using Distress Oxides in Kitsch Flamingo and Savage Patina and a brayer. I then added the smaller images from the Butterfly Effect stamp set in the same colours of Distress Inks. I then added some WOW! Embossing clear powder to add a little dimension.

I stamped the butterflies on Bristol Smooth paper and heat embossed in WOW! Embossing Carnival which is a pretty dark blue with sparkle. I then used my Zig watercolor pens to watercolour them. Once my images were dry, I cut them out and added to my tag.

I added the sentiment from the set and added a big pink ribbon I had in my stash.
