Own Kind of Beautiful

Hi there! We are back with some gorgeous inspiration from Heather today…

Hello, Hello Everyone…

I’m back again sharing not just one but three makes I made for the Visible Image Design Team!

I had a Gelli plate for my birthday last year but I’ve not really spent much time playing with it. After seeing some gorgeous makes on Facebook, I felt inspired to dig it out and see what I could come up with.  Have you ever Gelli-plated?!  Just gather your acrylics in your chosen colours and a multitude of mark making tools.  In the past I’ve used bubble wrap, corrugated cardboard and anything I can get my hands on but for this make I used elements of the following stamp sets:

Own Kind of Beautiful

Ink Splats

Live in the Moment

Scripted Streets

The first ‘pull’ has the majority of the colour and images

The 2nd print, or ghost print, is fainter and has much more white space

Once the prints have dried, you can select areas to use for making your cards.  The first print, I cut an area 8×8″ and matted it onto black card stock.

After heat embossing the three butterfly silhouettes in black, I added a hint of sparkle using Ink Splats to add areas of silver and to highlight the main sentiment, which I embossed over the coffee stain stamp.

To add extra dimension to the project, I heat embossed the butterfly detail in copper onto Vellum, which is such a lovey, soft paper to use.  Once fussy cut, I adhered them to their silhouette with their wings slightly aloft.

I love the contrast between the background and the softness of the Butterflies

I almost prefer the ‘ghost’ print as I’m not good at putting white space into my makes.

Fabulous textures on the ‘ghost’ print

I love the delicate wings on the dragon fly from the Live in the Moment set and his wings look incredible over the background splatter from Somewhere in Time.

The second card also used the background splatter from Somewhere in Time,
but this time has the fabulous eye from Where Dreams Take You.

The silver embossed circles are from the Live in the Moment stamp set

I’m rather chuffed with these makes and I definitely want to explore what my Gelli Plate can do as the textures and layers you can create are very much my style.  Why not hop on over to the Blog homepage to see what everyone on the DT has been making lately!

That’s all from me… have a great week and I’ll see you soon.

I’ve Got My Eye On You…

Hi! We are back with our second post today.. we have so many projects to share with you! It’s been so busy here at Visible Image.. there really are not enough hours in the day at the moment!

If you saw our recent shows on Create and Craft TV then you will definitely have seen this incredible card created by Jane Tyrrell…

I chuckled when the presenter held my card up to her face. It is such an amazing stamp, so realistic.

Today I am sharing the details of how I made it…

First I stamped and embossed all 3 stamps from the “Where Dreams Take You” set.
I then made a cloudy sky using a die cut cloud and distress inks

I covered the eye with masking fluid and added a sun ray using archival ink through my stencil

I added some star stencilling and also stamped the stars from the Believe in Unicorns set.

I added some green glitter pen and glossy accents to the eye and some Frantage to the card. Below is the wet eye…with glossy accents applied. It’s fun watching it dry….from cloudy to clear…

Once the eye was dry I then had my finished card!

Here it is…
I have my eye on you………?

and a couple of close ups. It’s really hard to seen the sparkle in the eye from my photo

Here are some more photos courtesy of Create and Craft TV…

This really is the most amazing stamp set. If I had to choose a Top 3 Visible Image stamp set, this would be it. I have owned my eye since it was first released many moons ago and use it so often

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for the very kind comments that you take the time to leave.

Back soon!
Bye for now,
Jane x

It really is an awesome card… the detail is superb. Thank you Jane ♡

Visible Image Debut – Carol Fox

Hello! Thanks for coming to visit our blog today.

We’re excited to share the very first project by new Design Team member Carol Fox today!

Woo Hoo it’s my Debut post for Visible Image today. I wanted to used their iconic stamp of the Eye for my post, this seems to be their trademark stamp and I hope I have done it justice on the following card.

Visible Image stamps - inky eye stamp - Dream - Carol Fox

I used the Following Stamps:

My card is done journal style with a clean and simple feel to it.

I stamped my image and quote directly onto my card blank using black archival ink, I then masked off the eye area leaving the surrounding splatter unmasked.

I then used a dot Stencil with a random dot pattern and applied 3 shades of DecoArt Mulit surface paint using a piece of cut and dry to mix the colours as I went to give various shades from the 3 colours.

I then picked out 3 similar colours from my Caran d’Ache pencils to colour the center of the eye again layering the colours to achieve different shades.

I finished with my must doodle border of the moment.

This is a larger size card to which I usually make but I felt the eye needed plenty of white space to dominate.

I want to say again thank you to Mark and Helen for letting me join the team at Visible Image.

Happy Crafting
Carol xx

Fantastic card thank you Carol… loving your doodle border! Our awesome eye looks fabulous with those colours ♡

We will be back a little later with a preview of another awesome NEW stamp set from our February release!

Have a good Monday.

Awesome Inspiration – Visible Image DT

Hello there! Thank you for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today!

We are getting very excited now, as we will be heading off to Peterborough tomorrow for our Create & Craft TV show on Saturday morning at 11am!

Mark and Pauline will be demonstrating our stamps live on air, and they have some awesome projects planned 🙂

Today on the blog we’re sharing some of the gorgeous samples created by our amazing team using stamps on the show…

Visible Image - Butterfly INKognito - Live Life Now - Susanne Rose

Susanne Rose

I’m sharing some inspiration with the super unique Visible Image Stamps. I made a CAS card using the Butterfly INKognito” together with the “Live Life Now ” Stamp.

Visible Image stamps - Live Life Now - Susanne Rose

This is a really quick and very elegant card! I used the Crealies Double Stitched Frame die and cut a rectangle shape from white cardstock. I masked a frame arround the base with washi tape, so that the stamped images don’t go close to the edges. I stamped the Butterflies with Distress Inks. I used “Dusty Concord”, “Picked Raspberry” and “Spiced Marmalade”. Finally I stamped the sentiment “Live Life Now” with StazOn “Jet Black” ink into the center. I mount everything with 3d foam pads to a white card.

Visible Image - Were Dreams - Kim Bacon

A simple card today featuring the gorgeous Where Dreams Take You sentiment.

Colour stencilled through circles and over stamped with the simple circle from the Universal set.

Happy Days! Kim

Visible Image - Flower INKognito - Sue Joseph

My tag has a dylusion and shaving foam background, and the Flower INKognito and Imperfection is Beauty stamps are heat embossed in wow black ebony.

Much Love

Visible Image stamps - Vision INKognito - Eye stamp - Lisa Nygards

Lisa Nygards

I’ve had really fun and made a Canvas for today! Lovely to play around with colors and make a big mess sometimes. I’ve used the Vision INKognito (eye) and the sentiment from the set Behind Every Mask. Think they fit well together.

Visible Image stamps - Grungy Eye stamp - Canvas - Lisa Nygards

I’ve used only acrylic colors I think, and the white dots are heavy modeling paste. The eye is stamped on tissue paper and glued with decopage laque. The green in the eye is painted with pitt pastel pens when the decopage glue was dry. The size of the canvas is 6″ x 6″.

Visible Image stamps - Angels Are Near - Teresa Morgan

Teresa Morgan

I have used the beautiful Angels Are Near stamp set to create a Christmassy mixed media canvas.

To begin, I covered the canvas with some music print paper, torn around the edges. Then I added some gesso around the sides to soften the paper edges, and in random areas over the paper. Once dry I stamped the feather and embossed in white all over the canvas. I wanted a metallic edge to the feathers, so inked the stamp again (but only on the edges) and stamped over the top of the white embossing powder, adding copper embossing powder this time.

I drew a simple angel on some cardstock and painted with acrylic paint then cut out and glued in place. Next I stamped the sentiment, cut out and glued on to the angel.

Finally I used some Pumice Stone Distress Ink around the edges of the canvas to age it and take away some of the whiteness of the gesso.

Wow! Amazing work that showcases our gorgeous stamps brilliantly… thank you ♡

Box of Vision – Visible Image stamps

Hello and thanks for dropping in 🙂

Susanne Rose has been getting very creative with our stamps and is here to share her latest project…

It’s my Visible Image day today and I’d like to share with you a tutorial for a mixed media matchbox.

Visible Imsge stamps - Live Your Dreams - Susanne Rose

Visible Image stamps - Vision INKognito - Grungy Eye stamp - Susanne Rose

I started with a Silhouette Cameo cut file for a matchbox. It’s cut out of kraft cardstock and covered with gesso.

I use the Faber-Castell Gelatos Metallic Mint, Red Cherry and chocolate to color my box.

I use my fingers and a wet baby wipe to blend the colors.

To add some texture I use a STAMPlorations stencil together with a clean wet baby wipe to remove some of the color.

I love the Vision INKognito stamp from Visible Image Stamps! It looks so awesome. Apart from the main image it’s perfect to do some border stamping!

The INKognito eye will have a look at you when you open the box. I stamped it onto some watercolor paper and colored it with watercolor pencils.

Amazing project! Love it! You’ll find more of Susanne’s awesome work over on her blog.

We’ll be back with some fabulous new cards from Karen later today, and Kim Johnny has been creating with Zombie Brian!

See you later 🙂
