Dare To Swim

Good Evening! Elisa Ablett is here on the blog today with a really beautiful scrapbook layout…

Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the design team for Visible Image with my next share for the month.

I wanted to showcase just how versatile the awesome stamps at Visible Image¬†are by creating a multi dimensional mixed media layout featuring ‘Dare to Swim’ and ‘The Ripple Effect’ stamp sets.

To start with I stamped on Acetate with black Staz On Ink and fussy cut the images out and set them aside while I created my background.

The background colours and texture is created with Distress Ink Oxides, Distress stains and ART -C water brush pen.
I stamped ‘The Ripple Effect’ stamp on the background using the distress ink oxide ink pads masking half of the stamp off to create a half circle pattern. When you stamp them together they look like a wave!

Add some more stamping in black using the smaller bubble stamps from the Ripple Effect set across your page along with the fish from Dare to Swim.

Here are some close ups of the finer details!

That’s it from me today, don’t forget to use your stamps on all sorts of different projects AND materials to get the most out of the stamps!

Don’t forget to leave me some love in comments ūüíú

Dare To Swim

Hello! We have an incredible mixed media project from Teresa Morgan to share with you here on the blog today…

I actually made this way back earlier in the year for Creative Stamping magazine. I love creating weathered effects with acrylic paint and when I was asked to create a mixed media project with the Dare To Swim set, I couldn’t wait to get started.

The rusted panels are created from mountboard and flat backed gems, painted with washes of acrylic and an application of Antiquing Cream. The underwater scene is painted onto the centre panel and has a shimmering shoal of foiled fish.

The beautifully detailed jellyfish is stamped and embossed onto acetate and glittered for an etheral effect.

A group of stamped bubbles covered with Liquid Glass decorate the central frame.

Aged rusty effect:

I hope you enjoyed taking a closer look at this project.

Thank you Teresa.. it is absolutely awesome! The rust.. the gorgeous texture.. those bubbles ‚ô°

Bold and Beautiful

Hello there! We have yet another stunning project to share with you here on the blog today.

Over to Pauline Butcher…

Hi again,

It’s my turn¬†to share a little¬†Visible Image¬†love, this is a rather large 10″ tall black tag,
and I’ve used the awesome¬†Dare to Swim stamp set¬†on it.

I stamped the small fishes with Versamark, and heat embossed them, using three blues of embossing powders.

The bubbles were stamped using a white ink pad, and the seaweed heat embossed with green powder.
I then stamped the jellyfish with Versamark and heat embossed with a yellow powder, the sentiment was done in the same way.

I coloured the jellyfish using Stickles, and gave it a glow using a white crayon.

Own It

Thanks so much for visiting,
hugs Pauline xxxxx

Wow such a gorgeous tag, those bubbles are stunning, as is the jellyfish! Thank you Pauline ♡

Dare To Swim

Hi there! Helen here sharing some NEW stamps inspiration from me today!

I created this pretty much as soon as the new stamps arrived here, as I could not wait to get my hands on them.

I have used our beautiful Dare To Swim set…

First of all I had lots of fun creating a sea background using turquoise, green and yellow brushos,
letting the colours merge and run

I decided I would make a piece of home decor rather than a card, so once dry
I cut the card to size and painted the edges and base of my Monolith using Dylusions paint

I stamped and embossed the large jellyfish using red/gold embossing powder
which turned more of a copper colour on my background which I really like.

I stamped the fish and sea weed using distress inks, and then dabbed the fabulous little bubbles stamp into
white dylusions paint and added randomly.

I used some diluted white paint to create a glow on the jellyfish.

Lastly I stamped and embossed the beautiful quote using white embossing powder.

How beautifully it¬†stamps…

So here is my finished project…
