How Fragile Are We

Good Evening! Thank you for visiting our blog today.

Veerle Moreels is here with a stunning new tag…

How fragile we are…

How fragile are we…

It always amazes me how, by just switching the two last words from place, you get (well I get) a completely different feeling. And depending on what the feeling is that is racing inside of me I’ll choose one or the other…

And it isn’t very hard to make a project using these words. Visible Image has enough stamps that match these words AND the little reminder I want to give myself.  Choosing the colors wasn’t hard either… this project needed black and white. And then this little tiny red heart…at the end of a very fine root of the tree.

Clean and simple, yet strong enough for me with all my tiny elements coming together…

To Create is to Escape

Hello! We are back with our 2nd post today! Jane Tyrrell has an amazing tag to share…

Good Evening, I am back with my weekly dose of Visible Image inspiration. We are still enjoying a glorious autumn full of sunshine and rich deep colours all around.

The leaves on the trees are stunning

I am sharing a tag today which gives a nod toward Halloween but still embraces the rich colours surrounding us.
I wanted to use one of the older Visible Image stamp sets as it also reminds of the gorgeous woods we walk our son’s dog Bear in.

I used:

with one of the new release quotes

I also used the Fibres stencil as it has such an organic feel to it like the branches of the trees.

This is what I got up to…

I took some autumnal coloured distress inks

and using the wrinkle free technique inked up my tag.

I then added some extra colour using my stencil and some rusty hinge and wilted violet distress inks.

I die cut some leaves from inky mop up card, stamped them with VI words and added Crackle glaze to get that great crunchy leaves effect. I also stamped, embossed and cut up the Create to escape words so that I could arrange them on my tag.

I then put on my creative hat to put my tag together.

I placed one of the crunchy autumnal leaves into the beak of the bird.

Here is a close up

I hope you are still being inspired by the colours of autumn too?

Thanks as always for stopping by today.

Back soon,
Bye for now,
Jane x

Created By Mark Alexander @ Visible Image

Hi there! Hope you’re having a good day!

Today on our blog we are sharing the cards Mark created on our Create & Craft TV show in December.

Vision INKognito Set

Visible Image stamps - Inky Eye Stamp - Mark Alexander

I stamped and embossed the eye in black, then using distress inks and a water brush I started to add the colours one by one which I blew away from the image, letting them run and drip. I repeated this underneath the eye.

I prefer to use an empty BIC pen for this technique, its the best tool I’ve found for the job! And very cheap too!

I coloured the pupil, also using my water brush and distress inks.

I stamped the gorgeous ‘Where Dreams Take You’ sentiment in black, and added a touch of colour to some of the letters.

You can see the shine of the embossing on this photo…

I’ve already seen a few people having a go at this technique since the show, and am glad I inspired a few people!

Leave Your Fears Set

Visible Image stamps - Crow Tree Stamp - Leave Your Fears Behind - Mark Alexander

I created a sun stencil and coloured it with distress inks. I added plenty of water along the bottom, and let the colour run down the page.

The crow tree and sentiment were both stamped in black versafine ink.

I stamped and embossed the crow tree on a separate piece of card, and fussy cut the crow. This was then stuck on top of the stamped image, raised with foam pads to give extra dimension.

Hope you enjoyed my demo’s if you caught the show. I’ll be back on your screens in early February so keep an eye on our Events Page for the date!

There Is Always Hope – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening 🙂 Thank for visiting our blog today! We are continuing with our PINK theme and Teresa Morgan has a really beautiful card to share with you…

Welcome back to my weekly dose of Visible Image stamps inspiration. This week the DT are promoting Breast Cancer Care and all our projects have gone pink. I must admit that I am not a very pink person, but this is such a worthy cause, I couldn’t refuse!

2015-10-15 Visible Image stamps - There Is Always Hope - Crow Tree - Teresa Morgan

My card is a subtle shade – I used Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, sponged over a cloud shape mask I cut from some cardstock. The Crow Tree stamp is stamped with Versamark and embossed with WOW powders white superfine embossing powder. The sentiment is from the Fae Hope set.

You can help Visible Image raise money for Breast Cancer care by making a donation on their JustGiving page or by purchasing the Stay Strong stamp this month…
