Distress Inks, Clingfilm & Gorgeous Visible Image Stamps!

Hello 🙂 We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you!

Over to Pauline Butcher…

Hi again,

Another week gone, and I’m back to share three cards I’ve made using some of the very unique stamps from Visible Image.

I have used the same inking technique on all three cards, using glossy cardstock, Distress Inks applied with a Brayer, and then clingfilmed until dry. I love the effect it gives.

The first card was stamped in versamark and then heat embossed using black powder. The Visble Image stamps I used were…..
Behind Every MaskBirds and Feathers from Free Your Imagination and Happy Birthday.

I used the inky side of the flower stamp and distress inks to edge this card, and again heat embossed the main images.
The stamps used here were….. Flower INKognito and an older Visible Image sentiment, that some of you might have.

And again I used a stamp from the set with Distress inks, to edge this card, and  some frantage powder below the horse.
This is one of my favourite sets to use……  Revolution

Mail Art – Visible Image stamps

Hi There! We are back with our second Sunday inspiration post 🙂

Here’s Kim J with an amazing project…

Hi!

Thanks for visiting today!

It’s my day to play with Visible Image Stamps, and I had lots more fun! I carried on with my mail art, it is so fun!

Hope you give it a try…so many possibilities!

These are the envelopes I made using a free online template. They measure 3.5 inches by 5 inches, folded closed…wonderful size for an anytime bit of Happy 🙂

The magnificent main bird images are Leave Your Fears  and Behind Every Mask

I stamped the image onto Neenah cardstock using Ranger Jet Black Archival ink. I love the rich, deep black and it is waterproof.

This is colored with Distress Inks, Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral and Wild Honey. I sprinkled water droplets when the base was dry.

I used Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks. Life is a Journey is from the This is Me set. I splattered some Distress Paint once everything was dry.

I added a flap liner using some random papers. The back side of my orange envelope shows more stamps I used. I loveeeee the dots I made by generational stamping with part of the Plasma stamp set! Also, I edged the flaps with the line from the Drag & Drip set.

Have No Fear – Visible Image stamps

Good Evening! Hope you’ve had a good Monday 🙂

We are kicking off a new week of fabulous inspiration from the team with Kim Bacon…

Hello!

Another Monday has arrived!  Hopefully you all had a good weekend?

Today I am featuring a card I made using one of the totally awesome Visible Image stamps along with a piece of paper that very nearly went in the bin!

Visible Image stamps - Leave Your Fears Behind - Crow Tree stamp - Kim Bacon

You know I love making backgrounds? Well, I cover my desk with a piece of cheap paper before starting any painting and spraying so I don’t get the cutting mat dirty. I have a huge mat and am just too lazy to move it off the desk.

Anyway, as I am also a bit careful with my supplies, I keep these pieces of paper to use again and again. The resulting ‘mess’ can sometimes be very pleasant. Here, let me show you what I mean…

The card I made with a piece of this paper features the lovely flying bird and tree silhouette..

 Leave your Fears

Visible Image INKognito Leave your Fears Tree Bird stamps

I stamped the image using a Tim Holtz distress embossing powder hence the grainy look.

Kim Bacon - close up - Leave Your Fears Behind

I covered a piece of card with the image because the paper is quite thin. I didn’t leave enough space for the sentiment so I stamped it onto a piece of heat resist acetate which I secured with some eyelets and beads at one side. The curve helped fit the sentiment on!

Hope you like it?

See you next week for another Marvellous Monday and in the mean time enjoy your week, get crafty and show us what you have been up to!

Happy Days!  Kim

Fantastic card from Kim.. stunning background and it just goes to show that you shouldn’t throw anything away! You will find more of Kim’s inspiring work over on her blog and on her KimzKrafts Facebook Page 🙂

We will be back tomorrow for Soozie Tuesday with Sue Joseph!

Have a great evening…  Mark is busy designing after a busy day of stamp making! No rest for the wicked hey 😉
