We Are Fragile

Hello! We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you!

Heather Mitchell has cleverly combined 2 of our NEW stamp sets to create a stunning card…

Hello Everyone…

You’ll all know, as crafters/artists, that when you find a product you love that it’s really hard not to use it in all your makes… and that’s kinda how I feel about the gorgeous ‘How Fragile’ and ‘Organics’ stamps from Visible Image.

The colours are bright and unashamedly bold

I wanted to make to make a card using both stamps and so to begin, I heat embossed the smashed stamp in Wow!’s British Summertime embossing powder which is a gorgeous grey colour.

To join the stamps up was a little tricky but I used the Tonic/Tim Holtz stamping platform (which enabled me to line the ‘Organics’ stamps exactly where I wanted them) and then I carefully joined the two stamps together using a Wow! embossing pen to make it look like a natural flow.

‘Organics’ flows seamlessly into the cracked glass from ‘How Fragile’.

Before adding the colour, I’ve dabbed the Fibonacci stamp around to add some extra detail and heat embossed it in bright white, so it contrasts with the other stamps.  Then comes the fun part… getting inky!

Distress Spray Stains have been used for the vibrant colour

I loved adding the colour.  I’ve spritzed the watercolour paper so it draws the colour into it and used a pipette to drip the colour into the specific areas, using a paintbrush for the smaller compartments.

Before adding the sentiment, I’ve spritzed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Crocheted Doily  and a light flick of watered down gesso.   The sentiment itself is heat embossed onto a grey/black washed background and added to the card using foam tape.   To finish, matt onto black card and then onto a card blank.

I particularly love the colour in this card… I’m all about the bright colours at the moment (I think it’s because I’m bored of the grey, dreary days of Winter).

Here’s the Visible Image stamps I used for this card:

Time for a Second Chance

Good Morning! Yay it’s Friday! Hope you have something good planned for the weekend, or maybe just a nice chilled out one to get over the week 🙂

Over to Pauline Butcher for today’s amazing inspiration…

Hi there,
We are well and truly into the New Year now and it’s another Fabulous Friday, so today I’d like to share a card I’ve made using some superb Visible Image Stamps.
The stamps I’ve used on this creation are…
Time after Time set (such a versatile set, with loads of stamps for your money), and ‘Every Day is a second Chance’ from the ‘Make me Smile set’, in the new Express Yourself range.

Visible Image stamps - Time after Time - Every Day is a second chance - Pauline Butcher

I used Brusho’s for the background, over stamping with some of the stamps from the ‘Time after Time’ set, and Distress inks. I stamped the watch and wings with Black Versafine.

I used thick bleach to whiten them, distressed the watch face, and added Rock Candy Crackle paint, I used different coloured Liquid pearls on the wings. I then stamped the sentiment in Black Versafine, and added highlights using a white pigment pen. and of course my work wouldn’t be complete without a bit of bling, so on went the Stickles !!!!!
As you probably know, we are not running a Blog Challenge anymore, but there is a NEW ‘Show and Tell’ challenge for all your fabulous Visible Image creations, you can find details HERE.

There will be little competitions over in the Visible Image Facebook Group, along with lots of friendly banter so do come and join in the fun, you will find it HERE.
See you soon, and be Happy,
Hugs, Pauline xxxxx
