Capture The Moment – Visible Image

Hello and thanks for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today!

Pauline Butcher is here with a very colourful project to inspire you…

Hi there,
I’ve created a tag, for my Visible Image Stamps inspiration this week, using the awesome Capture The Moment stamp set.

I used Brusho’s for the background, sprinkled and spritzed, and when dry, I stamped and heat embossed the ‘Smile’ sentiment, which comes in the set, with Wow red Embossing powder.

I stamped the sensational ‘Camera’, 5 times, and heat embossed them with Black Embossing Powder, I then fussy cut them, reducing the size each time, to decoupage them. I coloured the red bit in with a Sharpie pen.

The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with Black Embossing powder, and fussy cut, matt and layered onto red and black card.

I used some acrylic glue around the edges of the tag, and sprinkled some black micro beads, and left to dry, before adding the camera, and the sentiment using 3D glue gel.

Thank you for popping in.
Hugs Pauline xxxx

Imperfection is Beauty – Visible Image

Hi there, thanks for visiting us 🙂

Nicky Gilburt is here to inspire you on the blog today with a gorgeous card…

Here’s my latest card.

The main stamps used are from Imperfection is Beauty, and the background features two stamps from The Ripple Effect

How apt that this is the set that I chose to play with, I had previously made a set of backgrounds with Distress inks, spritzers and paints, and this was one of my least favourites, as I felt it was less than perfect, the ink hadn’t spread evenly across the sheet, making a mottled effect botttom left. However….

when I stamped the two scripty flowers onto separate pieces of coloured card, and cut them out, it all seemed to work. And I thought that the effect actually seemed….right!

I used the bubble circle outlines and stamped and embossed with white, making it super easy to roughly fill them in with watercoloured distress ink. I used the same colour to stamp the other full circles, to tie them together, and stamped random patterns round the edge of my design to add interest and highlights.

Happy Crafting!

Baby It’s Cold Outside – Visible Image

Hello! Are you feeling festive yet? Teresa Morgan is here on the blog today with a fantastic Christmas tag…

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas……and I have a festive tag to share with you all today, using some fabulous Visible Image stamps:

I die cut two blank tags using my Tim Holtz Sizzix die, and then used a Sizzix Mixed Media die to cut the holes in one of the blanks. Several shades of blue and black Distress Ink are blended over the tag. I added more pattern to the tag by splatting some water on the inks and blotting off.

Jack is stamped with Archival Ink and coloured with Distress Inks using a water brush – this gives a softer, looser effect than colouring with markers. I randomly stamped some snowflakes over the tag before adding the sentiment at the top. Jack is attached with 3d foam pads, and the second blank tag is glued behind the decorated one to complete the piece.

Love you – Visible Image

Hi there! Thank you so much for visiting our blog today.

We have a stunning card to share with you today, which also has a brilliant video tutorial, created by Veerle Moreels…

It’s my turn to share a project here at Visible Image and would like to share some Inktense Visble image love ^.^  I loved combining the Visible Image stamps together this way. And I tried out the inktense colorpencils for the very first time on this card.

Curious on how I brought the 3 stamps together and how I used the pencils? I have put it all in this liddle video tutorial for you…

I’m pretty sure you will see more cards like these show up.  Maybe even recognize part of it in my Christmas cards ( I really have to get started I know 👀 ) But for now it’s this one…as we can never say “I love you” enough.

Skullduggery – Visible Image

Hello! Thanks for stopping by!

We have another amazing card to share with you today! Over to Dot Leathbridge…

Mr Bones is at it again!!!

Oh this skull just keeps on giving…in so many ways!

This is the third card that I’ve made with this stamp set. It is so versatile and heaps of fun to play with. This time he is getting the ‘smokey’ look.

This card is made in brown monochrome colours, in a CAS style.

The swirly background gives it an almost surreal atmosphere, as if he has been buried for ages.
And teamed up with the splats it’s as if he’s just been freshly dug up…

Definitely think my imagination has been influenced by too many crime shows on T.V. lol
And wonder what his story is???

Wow what a superb background! Amazing card thanks Dot ♡

We’ll be back tomorrow with something awesome from Teresa!

Bye for now.

Just Be Happy – Visible Image

Hello there! Thanks for visiting us!

We promised you more gorgeous inspiration…Teresa Morgan has a stunning card to share with you!

Are you loving the new packaging on the Visible Image stamps?? Not only is it bright and colourful, it is bigger too so you get more amazing stamps in each set!! This card has all of the awesome new flowers from the Imperfection Is Beauty set and I love them!!

I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink and embossed with WOW Powders Superfine Opaque Bright White EP.  The sentiment is embossed with Bluetiful and Pink Lady EPs (also from WOW Powders).

Visible Image stamps - Imperfection Is Beauty, Just Be Happy

I used Cosmo Crickets Swatch Sticks water colours to wash over the embossed flowers. The EP acts as a resist. I love the soft dreamy feel of the watercolour paint.

Rain is confetti from the sky – Visible Image

Thanks for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today!

Elina Strömberg is here with a fabulous journal page…

The snowy white scenery is starting to change again; temperature is rising and snowfall is shifting to wet rain. Instead of complaining about the changing weather I decided to take a positive perspective and created a happy art journal page:

First I painted the background with blue acrylic paints, then ‘white-washed’ the entire page with applying a thin layer of white paint with a baby wipe. I continued with stamping vertical lines on the background with white paint, using the rain background stamp from Visible Image ‘Sparkle In The Rain’ set. The same stamp (together with the puddles stamp from the same set) was used also for finishing the page; I stamped over the acrylic paint using grey StazOn ink.

The lovely girl image was stamped twice on blue cardstock and heat embossed using black and red embossing powders.

Even though the page is quite flat there are many layers of paint and stamping. The textures on the background are texture paste applied through a stencil. For both blending the white texture paste into the background but also for highlighting the fun textures I dry-brushed the background with a hint of blue acrylic paint.

The lovely quote I picked up from Pinterest, wrote on white cardstock, cut out, and glued on the page. Done!

I came across another quote by Louise Hay: “There’s no such thing as good weather, or bad weather. There’s just weather and your attitude towards it.” I think the girl on my art journal page could not agree more!

Rock Stars – Visible Image

Hello! Teresa Morgan has an awesome card to share with you…

This week I have a cool card for all you music fans out there!

I have used some of the fantastic new accessory stamps in the Rock Out set from Visible Image.

I used shades of blue, green and purple Distress Inks blended together for the background. The guitars are stamped with Archival ink and highlighted with Glossy Accents.

Rock Out - Visible Image Stamps

The large stars are stamped with the same Distress Inks randomly across the base. Once dry the border stamp is stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed with Silver Pearl embossing powder. I then swiped the Versamark pad along the edges and embossed with Silver Tinsel embossing powder.

Rock Out - Visible Image Stamps

The Rock Out stamp is also embossed with Silver Tinsel embossing powder, cut into a banner shape and mounted on 3d foam. I used some Black Distress Ink just inside the star border to add some depth and create a 3d effect.

Glimmer of Light Journal – Visible Image

Hello again! We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you!

Over to Sue Davies who has a brilliant journal page to share…

Good morning, it’s my turn to share a Visible Image project with you, and I’ve been feeling very bold!  I’ve made a journal page, straight into the book without a safety net.

This is the best photograph I can get as we’re slightly lacking in the old daylight department.

This is lots of Distress Ink blended in patches, with some stencilling in the same colours.  I liked it, but boy was it bright, so I toned it down a bit with some gesso through a stencil. The edging stamp is from the Music on World Off set.

Time for some fun now in building up the background. I’ve used Ranger Archival inks to stamp my quotes from Imagine, Dream, Inspire, and there’s also circles from Universal.

I’ve been wanting to use the Glimmer of Light stamp set for a while now, but I’ve been in Halloween (thankfully gone) or Christmas (OMG it’s getting close) mode for weeks, but today was playday!

Don’t you just love this moth! He’s just stamped onto the background and coloured in places with Stabilo pencils. I stamped the light bulb into the previously stamped circle, then stamped the circle again and embossed in white.

And this is the quote, stamped and embossed with black fine EP. I’ve just highlighted bits and bobs with stencils and Portfolio pastels. This was such fun to make once I’d got over the terrors of stamping in my shiny new journal.

For lots more daily inspiration please head over to our Facebook group.

If Pinterest is your thing, you can find us here.

Have a brilliant week, and thanks very much for looking x

Isn’t this fabulous! So much awesome detail to gaze at.. Thank you Sue ♡

Still sparkling despite the rain – Visible Image

Hello! Thanks for visiting our blog today!

We have lots of inspiration to share with you today… catching up with all the fabulous cards and projects our amazing team have been creating.

Here’s Pauline who loves a bit of sparkle…

I hope you are all well, and as there has been rather a lot of rain lately, I thought that my ‘Visible Image Stamps’ inspiration this week, should emulate the weather, lol, so I used their awesome Sparkle in the Rain’ stamp set.

I started off with a piece of A4 white card, and gave it a spray with a Purple and a Lemon ‘Starbust’ spray ink, from Lindy’s Stamp Gang, super vibrant colours which are full of lovely mica, making a fabulous glimmer. I then cut my card, to fit a 6″ card blank. I used the rain stamp and the puddle stamp with some versamark, and heat embossed with some ‘Sparkling Snow’ powder, by Wow.
On some heat resistant acetate, using Versamark, some Black Wow Embossing powder, and the Lady Stamp, I heat embossed, and fussy cut it, adding yellow Stickles to her Umbrella and her boots.

On some more white card, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, fussy cut it, then coloured it with some Distress Inks.
Still a couple of weeks to enter the ‘Show & tell’, for a chance to win a £25 voucher, to spend on luscious new Visible Image goodies.
Take a peek in the Visible Image Group too, there is daily inspiration from the DT, and members too……HERE.
Thanks for popping in, hugs Pauline xxxx

Live Like Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist – Visible Image

Hello there! Thank you for visiting our blog today.

Gez Butterworth has a fabulous mixed media card to share with you today created with our awesome Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist stamp set…

Good morning! I am delighted to be sharing a card with you today created for Visible Image

I am really enjoying creating backgrounds with the fabulous range of paints and special mediums from DecoArt teamed together with the fabulous images from Visible Image what more can you ask for !!!

First of all I created a background using Black Gesso and washi tape followed by some random stencilling. I coloured some of the Texture Sand Paste with Pyrrole Red acrylic paint.

I painted over most of the texture paste to help push it into the background.using media fluid acrylic paints.

Once everything was dried I spritzed the background with DecoArt media Misters..

Then getting quite lost in the process.. again ! I forgot to take photographs.. I added some clear crackle glaze over the top of the texture sand paste and ink drips to see what would happen.. I LOVE the result..

I just had to show you a glorious close up !

Gorgeous textures and crackle !

My finished card..

Does it get any better !!

I stamped directly onto the background using stamps from the Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist stamp set.. masked the girl and added some ink splats and glittery swirly doodles !

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance.
