Capture Your Adventures!

Hi there!

Jane Tyrrell is here on the blog today with an amazing keepsake full of beautiful photos, and lots of stamping…

Today I’m sharing my completed holiday journal from our recent adventures in Portugal. This was a real labour of love but holiday journals are so worthwhile. There is nothing better than looking back through them and revisiting awesome memories.

The following page was for our day out in Lisbon. Each day we took some  Instax photos, as well as using my usual camera.

These photos measure approx 8.5 by 5.5cm. I use the colours in my photos to inspire each page.

I first made a background using stamps from Mesh-ellaneous. These are such cool stamps!

They work perfectly with Distress oxides

I had fun playing with a background pattern.

I just had to use the camera (I know it isn’t an Instax but it’s retro enough for me) which I stamped, embossed and fussy cut out

I stamped and fussy cut out some of the paper boats from the Destination Unknown set…

I then put on my creative hat and put together my page…

Here are a few close ups…

Don’t you just love the paper boats…I do ?

Stamps Used:

Capture The Moment

Destination Unknown

Mesh-ellaneous

This project was a real labour of love but so worth doing… there are a lifetime of memories inside my journal.

I really hope that I might have inspired you to create your own holiday journal.
You will be able to “capture the moment and make it last forever…”

Thanks as always for stopping by and for the kind comments you take the time to leave me.

Bye for now,
Jane x

Capture The Moment

Hello! We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you. Nicky Gilburt is here to share another fantastic card…

My Saturday share for Visible Image is this card made with the awesome camera from the Capture the Moment stamp set, a beauty to stamp and build up the layers of the lens.

I used all the elements from the set, as you see, I love the huge ‘smile’ stamp and the text is just perfect.

I stamped my image and heat embossed onto white card with black powder, then cut round it, repeating the lens area a couple of times. Then I used my silver Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and a sponge, and rubbed the colour all over the parts I wanted to look metallic, and wiped the embossed areas clean with a cloth. I love the effect that this created- as realistic as a stamped camera can be!

The background was created with Distress Oxides, splashed with a little water, then a funky chicken wire stencil which I also applied blue Nuvo Embellishment mousse through, as this gave a slightly raised texture to the background. A smudge of silver across the wire gave the project a distressed look to finish.

Happy crafting!
Nicky

Brilliant card Nicky! The camera looks amazing!

Captured Moments

Hi! We are back with more fabulous inspiration for you this evening.

This Friday we are back on Create and Craft TV.. with 2 shows at 11am and 4pm! We have lots of brilliant stamp sets on the shows, and here on the blog this week we are showcasing some of the awesome samples that have been created by our amazing team.

Jane Tyrrell is here with an incredible project…

Good evening, I am here with my weekly Monday Design Team inspiration for Visible Image. There is a new challenge for June over on Facebook and our theme this month is to add “dimension”.

My trusty camera comes everywhere with me and I capture lots of moments with it.

I have always loved being outside in the garden and I have some treasured vintage photos from my childhood, mostly black and white. My brother and I used to play in our family garden for hours and hours….Sindy Doll and Action Man featured a lot! I decided to use a scanned copy of my darling brother and I in the garden circa 1963. Don’t you love my furry slippers ?

For my card I decided to use the brilliant Capture the Moment set

I made myself a Distress Oxide ink background

and added some background stamps and stencilling;  I used words from the Destination Unknown set

and scripted streets set

I also embossed the great ‘Smile’ stamp which comes with the Capture the Moment set

I  added some circles using Archival Ink from the Universal set.

I decoupaged the camera in 3 layers to give a 3D effect. I also coloured the metal parts of the camera silver

The words from the set were embossed in white and I distressed the edge of the plaque to “age” it.

The vintage style photo corners added to the vintage effect. I stuck foam under the plaque again adding dimension

I then put everything together and below is my finished card

I hope these techniques and ideas may inspire you to join our ‘Dimension’ challenge over on Facebook!
You might even be the lucky winner of the £40 voucher to spend on the website… and that could treat you to some of the brand new stamps!

Back soon.
Bye for now
Jane x

This card is AMAZING! From the brilliant background and the vintage feel, to the photo of special memories, it’s just wonderful! Thank you Jane ♡

Capture The Moment – Visible Image

Hello and thanks for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today!

Pauline Butcher is here with a very colourful project to inspire you…

Hi there,

I’ve created a tag, for my Visible Image Stamps inspiration this week, using the awesome Capture The Moment stamp set.

visible-image-capture-the-moment-camera-stamp-pauline-butcher

I used Brusho’s for the background, sprinkled and spritzed, and when dry, I stamped and heat embossed the ‘Smile’ sentiment, which comes in the set, with Wow red Embossing powder.

I stamped the sensational ‘Camera’, 5 times, and heat embossed them with Black Embossing Powder, I then fussy cut them, reducing the size each time, to decoupage them. I coloured the red bit in with a Sharpie pen.

The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with Black Embossing powder, and fussy cut, matt and layered onto red and black card.

I used some acrylic glue around the edges of the tag, and sprinkled some black micro beads, and left to dry, before adding the camera, and the sentiment using 3D glue gel.

Thank you for popping in.
Hugs Pauline xxxx
