Christmas Memories

Good Morning and Happy Friday to you!

Wow where has this week gone?! It has been incredibly busy preparing for our shows on Create and Craft TV next week, and packaging so many orders for our wonderful customers and retailers all over the world! Hope your week has been good, and you are looking forward to the weekend.

We have beautiful (and very sparkly) inspiration from Pauline Butcher here on the blog today…

It’s been so busy in my craft room, that I’ve not noticed another week fly by !!!!

So it’s Fabulous Friday, and time for another of my Visible Image creations, I am staying on the Christmas theme for my card for this week…

The stencil I’ve used is called Time Tunnel

and the stamps are Angels

and Christmas Memories

The background is Distress Inks, with a translucent embossing paste
through the stencil, and glitter added whilst wet.

The Angel, the star and the sentiment were heat embossed and fussy cut,
then added to the card with Pinflair 3D gel.

Thanks for visiting.

See you soon.
Hugs Pauline xxxxx

Christmas Can Be Tough Sometimes…

Good Evening, thanks for visiting our blog today.

When we lose a loved one, Christmas can be a very difficult time and it can be hard to know whether to send a traditional Christmas card, and ‘Merry Christmas’ just isn’t really appropriate. So Helen wrote a special sentiment for those ‘hard to write’ Christmas cards.

We have some beautiful inspiration for you from Jane Tyrrell today featuring this Christmas sentiment stamp…

Monday has spun round again and it’s time for my Visible Image DT inspiration.
Today I am focusing on the gorgeous new Christmas stamp release and designing with 2 sets;

The very poignant Christmas Memories stamp…

which I thought went perfectly with the silhouette angel image from the Angels set

As you may know, I am Mrs Christmas and adore everything about it. However I do understand that for some people this can be a very difficult time of the year. Particularly when they have recently lost someone they love. That first Christmas afterwards, I know from my own experience, is very tough. I sell my cards at Dotty’s Tearooms in our local high street and I thought this card would be a helpful extra to sell there this year.

My design also uses the Strobes stencil (these are all back in stock in the shop). I think it makes a great sun/star burst and used it in the background of my card…

So this is what I made…

I kept my colour very upbeat and simple.

I gold embossed the angel word and added some gold to the border.

I blended distress inks through the stencil. I wanted the angel to be more of a shadow and I achieved this by using a gold metallic ink. The sentiment is stamped and embossed.

Here she is in close up, in real life she has a shimmery gold effect…

Thanks so much for visiting today. It is only 84 days until the big day and I am getting myself into Christmas card making mode now that the evenings are getting darker.

Time to light those candles…

Back soon.

Bye for now,
 Jane x

This is such a stunning card, thank you Jane ♡
The sentiment, Angel and strobes all work so beautifully together.

An Angel for all Seasons

Good Evening! We are back with some fabulous Christmas inspiration from Pauline Butcher this evening…

Hi again,

It’s fabulous Friday and time for me to share some Visible Image inspiration, today it’s a Christmas card, made with some awesome stamps…

The stamps I used were…

Angels

Seasons Greetings sentiment from Go to Christmas Words set

and the background stars are from Rock Out

The background is watercolour card, with Brusho’s sprinkled onto it, with a fair amount of water spritzed over, and left to dry.

I stamped all the background elements using Distress Oxide inks, I heat embossed the Angel using white embossing powder, the star with Gold powder, and both sentiments using Black. I highlighted with a white pen, to make things pop off the card.

Thanks for popping in.
Hugs, Pauline xxxxx
