Spring Forward

This fantastic card by Rachel is just perfect for Spring, especially as our clocks have now sprung forward here in the UK!

Rachel has used our WHITE RABBIT stamps and co-ordinating dies, our BROKEN MESH layering die, and our FIBONACCI background stamp and COUNT ME IN stencil.

[Tutorial] Rachel sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Salvaged Patina’ and ‘Speckled Egg’ distress spray stains. Once dried, Rachel stamped the ‘Fibonacci’ stamp onto the background using ‘Salvaged Patina’ distress oxide ink, before blending ‘Saltwater Taffy’ distress oxide through the ‘Count Me In’ stencil using a brush. These colours really work together!

The ‘Broken Mesh’ die was then cut out and the frame surround put to one side – the die cut itself will be used for another make. The frame was glued onto the background and then Rachel mounted this onto black and white linen card. The frame was then gently brushed with ‘Saltwater taffy’ distress oxide to help blend this into the background. On another piece of white card, Rachel stamped the White Rabbit and sentiment using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ ink, and cut the rabbit out using the new die set. These were coloured in using Stabilo aqua colour pencils and a water pen. The sentiment was then cut out and glued onto black paper. The clock and the eyes were made to shine using glossy accents. To finish the card all the elements were stuck into position using 3D foam pads. This was then added to a white card blank.
