Snowflakes Candle Jar
Ali has decorated this glass candle jar with the beautiful snowflake from our LET IT SNOW stamp set.
[Tutorial] I love to reuse things so this empty candle jar was perfect to use with the Let It Snow stamp set. I started by sponging a thin layer of white gesso all over the jar. No need to make it even as it adds to the look when it’s lit. By sponging it on you get a lovey texture too. Whilst it was drying I stamped out a few of each of the snowflakes and the wording ‘let it snow’ onto white tissue paper using Black Stazon ink, which I then cut out with just a small border around each one. I used some matte Modge Podge to glue these onto the jar. I applied a layer to the area of the jar I wanted the snowflake, carefully laid the snowflake on and using a brush with more Modge Podge on I went over the top of each snowflake. Using the bristles of the brush I gently smoothed out any wrinkles or air bubbles. Once all the snowflakes had been stuck down, I added the wording in the same way and then left them all to dry. I then added a final layer of Modge Podge over the entire jar to give it an even layer. When that was dry I popped a candle inside, light it and admired how pretty it looks! Ali ♡
