Sepia Santa

Nicola’s wonderful Christmas card was created with our VINTAGE SANTA stamps and dies, and YE OLDE CHRISTMAS stencil.

[Tutorial] Distress inks and distress oxides were used to make the sepia background. When dry, micro distress glaze was added to the left hand side and then stencil paste was applied through the script of YE OLDE CHRISTMAS stencil. More background stamping was done, again using the same stencil and the script from CHRISTMAS TREE GRUNGE stamp. Darker ink was blended around the edges and a few gold spatters of watered down gold gilding were added.

The large Santa from the VINTAGE SANTA set and the large holly from CHRISTMAS ROBIN stamp set were stamped in black, clear embossed and then die cut using the co-ordinating dies. These were coloured using a combination of zig clean colour brush pens, gold watercolour paint and gilding polish. 
Mat and layering next using black and rose gold metallic card. Santa, holly and sentiment were adhered using foam pads and finishing touches of lime green stickles was used on santas hat and holly leaves. Nicola ♡
