Resilient Father

This fantastic card by Leanne features our FATHER DEFINITION stamp with the dragonfly and sentiments from our DRAGONFLY REFLECTION set, and MESH IT UP stencil.

Leanne used crackle paste through our MESH IT UP stencil, then when dry sprayed it with ‘picked raspberry’ Distress Oxide, and Dylusions ‘periwinkle blue’ + ‘after midnight’ creating a wonderful deep purple effect with hints of pink. Next Leanne embossed some of the sentiments onto the background in white for more interest. Leanne used brushos powder paints to create a separate coloured panel on which to stamp the dragonfly and sentiment. The dragonfly was embossed in black and fussy cut ready to layer onto the card. The sentiments were stamped in black in and matted onto black card to help them stand out from the background. Leanne coated the dragonfly with glossy accents and left to dry. Once all the components were ready, Leanne adhered them to her background using foam pads, then added clear acetate wings fixed to the centre of the dragonfly and secured a small butterfly on top as the finishing touch.
