Rainbow Butterflies

Ciara has used our BUTTERFLY INK stencil to create this fabulous pair of slimline cards using Distress Oxide inks in rainbow colours, and stamping with our ROUND IN CIRCLES stamps. We just love the chalkboard effect to frame the rainbow butterflies!

[Tutorial] After blending vibrant oxide inks diagonally across her card for a rainbow effect, Ciara added random stamping all over with the various circle stamps, then covered in embossing ink and clear embossed through the stencil to seal the image. Once heat set, Ciara then wiped her black soot oxide ink pad around the focal image to create a black chalkboard effect, carefully wiping any excess ink from the embossed butterfly. This process was done twice to deepen the effect. Ciara then stamped the ‘thank you’ sentiments on vellum using a Versamark ink pad and embossed in white. The artwork was then cut in half to create 2 matching slimline cards, matted onto glossy black card stock and then a white card blank.
