Loving You

Rachel’s stunning card features the large inky flower stamp from our TOTAL CHAOS stamp set, with the grungy heart stamp and ‘love you’ sentiment from our FOLLOW YOUR HEART set.

[Tutorial] For my clean and simple style card I used the ‘Total Chaos’ and ‘Follow Your Heart’ stamp sets. 

To begin with I stamped the large flower from the ‘Total Chaos’ set in Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink onto a DL sized piece of white card, before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. I then repeated this for the sentiment from the ‘Follow Your Heart’ set. 

After this, on a separate piece of white card I stamped just the flower head on the large flower from the ‘Total Chaos’ set in Versafine ‘Nocturne’ black ink and embossed it with the same embossing powder as before. I then stamped the heart from the ‘Follow Your Heart’ stamp set over the top in Versafine ‘Morning Mist’ grey ink. This was then fussy cut out. The image needed a pop of colour so I dug out my distress ink watercolour pencils in ‘Candied Apple’, ‘Crackling Campfire’, ‘Mustard Seed’, ‘Twisted Citron’, ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Shaded Lilac’. The flower head was then coloured in to reflect a rainbow before being water-brushed to help blend the colours together. 

Once dried the flower head was added to the main card with some 3D mounts. The background was then put onto black card and a white card blank. Finally, some small gems were added for some sparkle and a few glossy accents added to add some dimension. A simple but effective Valentine’s Day card I hope you agree? Rachel ♡
