Love Your Life

Michelle’s gorgeous mixed media tag was created with our TOTAL CHAOS and DE-STRESSED stamp sets, OFF THE GRID stencil, BROKEN MESH layering die, and one of our beautiful AFFIRMATIONS stamps.

[Tutorial] Using a small brayer, I layered up a little pink and white paint in both horizontal and vertical directions. I built the layers around the edge with the paints and some stamping with the grunge edge and grunge harlequin stamps (De-stressed set), whiter at edge but still combining with the pink to help create the illusion of dimension. (Always remember to wash your stamps thoroughly in warm soapy water after using them with paint.)

When dry, I stamped the main flower image from the ‘Total Chaos’ stamp set in Versafine Clair black ink, added Wow Clear embossing powder and the heat set. On a separate piece of mixed media cardstock I repeated this process 3 times to use as decoupage layers, colouring with Spectrum Noir pens and glazing with Amazing Glaze.

I used structure paste on opposite corners through the ‘Off the Grid’ stencil and on the other 2 corners swiped with Wow Versamark clear ink. I sprinkled a Wow embossing powder in gold and teal over both, however on the structure paste I also added a little black then heat set. I finished this section with a couple of sprays of Fusion Spray – mint.

Two of the flowers I removed the stems and a few of the petals then layered all together using pinflair gel over the original stamp on the card over a few coiled Sissal Fibres. I die cut the ‘Broken Mesh’ layering die then applied copper and charcoal wax, tore it into a few pieces, scrunching them up , pulling out a little and placing next to the flower with Pinflair gel.

The sentiment (Affirmations Stamp Set) was stamped in black, and clear embossed, matted on black card and applied with a little pinflair, then to finish I used some recycled Sari fabric as a ribbon. Michelle ♡
