Golden Leaves

Jeanette’s fabulous Autumn card was created with our AUTUMN LEAVES stencil and the sentiment from our ERIKA’s MAPLE stamp set.

[Tutorial] This card is inspired by the beautiful colours of Autumn. I started creating my background using the leaf masks from the Autumn Leaves stencil using ‘antique linen’ and ‘wild honey’ Distress Oxide inks, building up layers of colour. I then deepened some of the areas with ‘rusty hinge’ oxide ink. Next I blended ‘crackling campfire’ oxide ink through the stencil, to add some vibrant orange leaf shapes to my background.

I used an embossing glue pad through the stencil to create 3 focal leaf images, and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder to add a lovely clear sheen. Next I blended ‘black soot’ Distress Oxide ink all over my background to enable the embossed leaves to stand out [I wiped off the excess ink from the embossing]. I used white and gold gel pens to add a few extra details. The sentiment from the stamp set ‘Erika’s Maple’ was stamped on black card stock and embossed in white powder. I attached it with 3D foam squares for dimension. I chose red card stock to frame my art work, and then adhered it to a kraft card base. Jeanette ♡
