Celestial Decor

Nicole created this stunning piece of home decor with an MDF moon and stamps from our RISE AND SHINE and MIDNIGHT SKY sets, and the gorgeous script from our SKETCHED TULIPS set.

Nicole started off by putting gesso on her MDF moon then added a light layer of white crackle paste. Next the moon was coloured with Bombay India ink in turquoise, then using the Sketched Tulips stamp set Nicole added the script stamping with white ink. To give the moon more depth, Nicole took black archival ink and blended around the edges and lightly over the crackle to make them pop. The images from the Rise and Shine and Midnight Sky sets were coloured with water colours, and Nicole used gel medium to glue these down along with some branches of MDF to add layers.
