Butterfly Blues

Jeanette’s beautiful card features our stunning ANTISOCIAL BUTTERFLY collage stamp, coloured beautifully with Distress Watercolour pencils.

[Tutorial]  I couldn’t keep my hands off this Antisocial Butterfly stamp when it landed in my mailbox! As my plan was to colour the butterfly with water colours, I stamped on watercolour paper with Altenew Obsidian pigment ink. I used my heat tool to make sure the stamping was completely dry before I started adding colour and water. My new Distress Watercolour pencils were put to the test, and I really like them! The colours I used were from all three sets: Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, Wild Honey, and Hickory Smoke. When everything was coloured in, the sentiment “butterfly” was stamped underneath the image, then I drew a frame, doodled some details with a white gel pen, matted the panel with black card stock and then attached everything to a card base.
