Birthday Butterflies

Jeanette’s beautiful summer Birthday card was created with butterfly stamps from our ANTISOCIAL BUTTERFLY and VI MINIS stamp sets, with our BROKEN MESH layering die and STARS & STRIPES stencil.

[Tutorial] I had already coloured (with Copic markers) and fussy out a few butterflies from the Antisocial Butterfly and VI Minis #1 stamp sets, so I started on the background. The stencil I used is called ‘Stars & Stripes’ and the two Distress Oxide inks I used are ‘Hickory Smoke’ and ‘Lost Shadow. I wanted to build some layers so I used the ‘Broken Mesh’ layering die with some silver metallic card stock. The sentiment I used is from the ‘Birthday Wishes’ set, stamped with Memento ink. Finally, I attached the butterflies to the card with 3D foam squares before adding a few dots and circles with Copic markers and a black fine liner pen. Jeanette ♡
