Better Days
Jane’s awesome tag was created with our DISTRESSED BRICK stencil and BETTER DAYS AHEAD sentiment stamp.
[Tutorial] Using the largest tag in the Sizzix Framelits Tim Holtz tag collection set, I die cut this using Dalor Rowney mixed media card [you can of course cut your own tag]. I dampened the tag with a spritz of water and then added a couple of Distress spray stains [I used Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina]. Remember less is more! Allow the inks to move and then either heat dry or leave to dry.
I added Ranger distress opaque grit paste through the stencil using a palette knife and left to dry – do not heat set as the paste will bubble.
I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap white card using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and clear heat embossed it. I stamped the heart above the letter “B” using Summertime ink. I then cut it down to a 4.5 x 7cm panel and distressed the edges. Using a blending tool I swiped Peacock Feathers distress ink around the edges, and also around the edges of the tag.
Using the sentiment panel for placement, I stamped the arrows and heart using Versafine Paradise and Summertime inks. I adhered the sentiment in place and matted the tag onto orange card. As a finishing touch I added some colour co-ordinating ribbon. Jane ♡
