Autumn Sunflower

Ericka’s wonderful mixed media card was created with our SUNFLOWER GRUNGE stamp set, an AFFIRMATION stamp and our LEAFY stencil.

[Tutorial] I used distress oxide inks [salvaged patina and walnut stain] to create my background. I masked off the centre part of the Leafy stencil, as I only wanted the leaves around my focal image. I used embossing paste through the stencil and then sprinkled embossing powder on top and heat set. Next I stamped the Sunflower Grunge stamp on a separate piece of Bristol Smooth paper and heat embossed it with gold powder. I coloured it with watercolours and fussy cut it out. I adhered it in place with foam tape, then stamped the sunflower sentiment and a lovely sentiment from the Affirmations set in co-ordinating colours. Ericka ♡
