Alien in Space

Rachel’s brilliant card was created with our ALIEN INVADER stamps + dies, and our SUPERNOVA stencil.

[Tutorial] For the background I sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Uncharted Mariner’ distress spray stain and ‘Old Paper’ distress oxide spray before splattering with ‘Twisted Citron’ distress oxide spray and a few water droplets. Once dried I then blended ‘Picket Fence’ distress ink through the ‘Strobes’ stencil and added a few elements from the ‘Alien Invader’ stamp set using Brilliance archival white ink.

Next I brushed the whole surface of the background with Distress micro glaze before placing the ‘Supernova’ stencil over the top of the background and smoothing Distress Glow grit paste through it. This was again put to one side to dry.

On another piece of white card I then stamped some of the elements from the ‘Alien Invader’ stamp set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. Apart from the sentiment these were die cut out using the new dies and coloured in using a gel pen, Zig color pen, ‘Uncharted Mariner’ and ‘Old Paper’ distress ink. The sentiment was fussy cut out and mounted onto a small piece of black card.

Finally, the background was put onto black card and a white card blank before the elements were added using 3D mounts. Some glittery gems were then added alongside a sparkle from a Wink of Stella glitter pen. An ‘out of this world’ card all ready to give to that special person this summer.  Rachel ♡
