Alien Greetings

Lorraine’s amazing card was created with our ALIEN INVADER stamps + dies, and STROBES stencil.

[Tutorial] The elements were stamped and clear heat embossed and coloured with alcohol markers then die-cut.  To create the space background, I blended a variety of Distress Oxide inks, keeping it light in the centre and getting darker towards the edges. This was spritzed with water, added Posca pen splats for stars and left to dry. I dabbed the Ranger embossing dabber through the Strobes stencil then added clear embossing powder and heat set, then trimmed the panel to size.

I cut a scrap of grey card to the width of the panel and trimmed the top edge into an arc. Using the dots stamp and a grey ink pad, I stamped them around the ’moon’ for texture. The sentiment was stamped and clear heat embossed, then cut into a speech bubble shape.  All the elements were then attached using foam tape. The remaining flying saucer was glued inside the card together with some additional stamping.
