That Lovin’ Feline

Rachel’s beautiful card was created with our HEART INK and THE CAT’S WHISKERS stencils, with THAT LOVIN’ FELINE stamp set. [Tutorial] I thought the ‘That Loving’ Feline’ stamp set was perfect for Valentine’s Day, and I’ve teamed it with the new ‘Heart Ink’ and ‘The Cat’s Whiskers’ stencils. I started by adding ‘Kitsch Flamingo’, ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress oxides to a craft mat and spritzing with water. A piece of white card was then ‘smooshed’ into the ink until most of the card was covered. Once dried, distress inks in the same colours were then blended around the edges. The ‘Heart Ink’ stencil and mask were then placed over the inky background and distress grit paste smoothed through it. After leaving it to dry for a while I placed the stencil back into place then placed ‘The Cat’s Whiskers’ stencil over the top and blended ‘Shaded Lilac’ distress ink through both stencils. Additional stamping was then added to the background with various elements from the ‘A Lovin’ Feline’ stamp set. On a separate piece of card I stamped 3 of the cats from the same set with Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink before heat embossing with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. These were then fussy cut out and coloured in using ‘Salvaged Patina’ distress ink as well as some highlights from ‘Shaded Lilac’ and ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ distress watercolour pencils. The sentiment was stamped and embossed in the same way. Finally, the cats and sentiment were positioned into placed with some 3D mounts and a bit of sparkle added with some glossy accents and Wink of Stella glitter pen. The background was then put onto black card and a white card blank. A great little card to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Rachel ♡
