Summer Memories

Rachel’s beautiful card was created with our BUTTERFLY EFFECT stamp set + co-ordinating dies, and a sentiment from our HAPPINESS MATTERS set. [Tutorial] To begin with I took a white piece of card and sprayed it with ‘Kitsch Flamingo’ and ‘Picked Raspberry’ distress spray stains. I then added a sprinkle of water over the top of the background. Once dried, some ‘Picked Raspberry’ distress ink was used around the edge of the card. I then stamped some of the other stamps from the ‘Butterfly Effect’ stamp set onto the background with Versafine Clair ‘Charming Pink’ ink or Versamark before being heat embossed with Wow opaque bright white superfine embossing powder. Next, the stencil was added over the top of the background and ‘Picket Fence’ distress ink brushed through it before the sentiment from the ‘Happiness Matters’ set was added to the background using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink. On a separate piece of card I stamped the butterflies from the ‘Butterfly Effect’ set using the same Versafine ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder before die cutting them all out. Some parts were then coloured in using a white colouring pencil and Zig color clean brush pens. All the elements were then added to the card background with acrylic glue. Finally, the background was layered onto black card and a white card blank before a few water droplet gems were added. Rachel ♡
