Cosmic Birthday

Rachel’s fantastic card was created with our CAPTAIN AWESOME stamps + dies, and BREAKOUT stencil. [Tutorial] For the background I sprayed a piece of white card with ‘Lost Shadow’ distress spray stain as well as ‘Tumbled Glass’ and ‘Hickory Smoke’ distress oxide spray. Once dried I stamped some of the space rocks from the ‘Captain Awesome’ stamp set around the edge of the card with Versafine Clair ‘Morning Mist’ grey ink. The whole surface of the background was then brushed with Distress micro glaze before placing the ‘Breakout’ stencil over the top of the background and smoothing Distress opaque grit paste through it. On another piece of white card I then stamped some of the elements from the ‘Captain Awesome stamp set using Versafine Clair ‘Nocturne’ black ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine clear gloss embossing powder. Apart from the sentiment these were die cut out using the new dies and coloured in using Zig color clean brushes. The sentiments were fussy cut out and mounted onto black card. Finally, the background was put onto black card and a white card blank before the elements were added using acrylic glue and 3D mounts. Some metallic gems were then added alongside a sparkle from a Wink of Stella glitter pen and some glossy accents. A perfectly ‘Awesome’ card for birthdays at any time of year. Rachel ♡
