Hello! As we continue to introduce our new BIGGER Design Team this week, we are thrilled that another of our existing designers is staying on the team…

Ericka is on our BLOGGING TEAM!

We adore Ericka’s vibrant compositions and her wonderful [and often very sparkly] embossing!

I’ve been making cards for 5 years and love working with a variety of mediums, getting inky and creating colorful backgrounds. It is so fun being part of such an encouraging and kind crafting community.

I hope you are all doing well. Today I have a fun bookmark/tag I made for my daughter. She’s a first grader and we’ve been working on reading chapter books and asked me to make a bookmark for her. Of course the perfect stamp set for a girl’s bookmark is the Visible Image Believe In Unicorns set.

I love this image as well as the great sentiment. I had the perfect background I had previously made using acrylic paints and a brayer and started by taking the unicorn image and stamping it with WOW! Embossing ink. I used the Emerald Creek Gold Sparkle embossing powder for the unicorn because it is both gold and sparkly!

I then stamped the stars around the image and heat embossed them with Emerald Creek Arctic Daybreak which is a white with gold flecks.

I stamped then created a black tag using cardstock and attached my background. I stamped the sentiment in the same Arctic embossing powder. I used my black pen to trace around the image and the “believe” to make it stand out more and then added some white gel pen to the middle of the unicorn.

My little reader is so excited to start her new chapter book with this fun bookmark.

Rainbows and Unicorns | Birthday Card

Hello! We hope you had a good weekend. Jane Tyrrell is here to inspire you with a fabulous card featuring our magical unicorn stamp today…

Good Afternoon

We recently celebrated my darling Granddaughter Daisy’s 5th birthday. Her theme for her party was rainbow unicorns as she is unicorn mad. If I could find a real one I know she would love one for a pet. When I planned her card I knew just the stamp to use…. the wonderful Visible Image unicorn stamp from the Believe in Unicorns set

Our challenge theme for November over in the Visible Image Facebook group is “Make it Sparkle” so this was a perfect for Daisy’s card. There is nothing a 5 year old girl loves more than sparkle and glitter.

I first white embossed the unicorn stamp onto watercolour card.

To go along with her rainbow unicorn party theme I decided to use all the colours of the rainbow to make the background.

I chose 7 from my Distress inks and starting at the top and working clockwise I blended them onto the card.

Next I cut out some clouds and added the number 5 from the White Rabbbit Wonderland set

These numbers are a perfect size for birthday cards.

I also used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Go to Words set.

I then die cut a swirling star background around the unicorn.

I matted this onto pink glitter card. Believe me every 5 year old girl like lots of glitter!

Here is my finished card…

I also made her a quick tag for her present too; this photo does not do justice to the black sparkly embossing powder I used, it really glints..

Remember to add your “sparkle projects” to the Facebook group  album!

Thanks for stopping by today, if I’m honest I don’t think it’s just Daisy who believes in unicorns, you can count me in too……how about you 😂?

I made her a unicorn birthday cake too..

Back soon.
Bye for now,
