Daisy Daisy | NEW Stencil

Hello! We hope you had a lovely weekend. We are very excited to be previewing our awesome NEW stencils this week! Our Design Team have been having so much fun with them over the weekend! Ericka Strange is kicking off this week’s inspiration with 2 vibrant summer cards featuring our gorgeous ‘Daisy Daisy’ and ‘Mesh it Up’ frameless stencils…

For my first card…

I used the new Daisy Daisy stencil along with Mesh It Up.

I started with a gel press print that I had created with Distress Oxides and paint. Originally it wasn’t anything too great, but then I added embossing ink with my blending tool to the Mesh It Up stencil, and sprinkled WOW! Bahama embossing powder on it.

I love the chunky texture both the stencil and the embossing powder give the panel.

I then took some Bristol Smooth paper and the Daisy Daisy stencil and blended Distress Oxides in  Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, and Marmalade.

I cut the outline of the stencil out and stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Soul stamp set in black on the daisy.

For my second card..

I used the same Daisy Daisy stencil but on a panel I created with Distress Oxide reinkers on photo paper.

For more information on how to create the background check out my blog post here.

I then used the stencil and applied Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide lightly around the stencil with a blending brush.

I stamped the butterflies from the Wings of Change set in Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide. I also used the sentiment and stamped it in black archival ink.

I love the grungy but bright look the distress oxides have on the photopaper and the different layers.

Summer Kindness | Dragonfly Stamp

Hi there! Wow it’s another scorching hot day here in the UK! So perfect for more gorgeous summer inspiration… Jane Tyrrell has a beautiful card to share with you featuring our new dragonfly stamp…

Happy summer! Yes we have enjoyed our longest day too and the long summers days loom ahead. I live very near the River Wandle as it winds its way back up to London and I delight in my walks along it.

As I walked along yesterday I saw a flash of colour in the undergrowth

I only had my phone with me (very unusal for me!) but I managed to snap a very summery visitor, a shimmery dragonfly.

This leads in perfectly to my latest design team project for Visible Image and I am sharing another sample I made using the brand new stamp release which is released tomorrow!

I made a summery card using the lovely dragonfly from the Summer Wings set:

summer stamps | butterfly | dragonfly | line drawings

I decided to get out my alcohol inks and made a summery background

I cut it down for a 7X5″ card

I stamped all the images onto acetate which I had also added alcohol ink to (I will use the butterflies for another project).

I also gold embossed some of them (sorry no photos!) I decided to use just the wings of the gold embossed acetate dragonfly and gold embossed another on some inky mop up card. I used the 2 together to make a real statement dragonfly.

This was just right for my alcohol ink background.

I also decided to use one of the fab sentiments from the new Equality, Hope and Love stamp set

equality | hope| love | sentiment stamps | definitions

Here is my finished card.

with some close ups..

and one last shot:

dragonfly stamp | acetate | embossing | alchohol inks

I have LOTS more samples to share over the coming weeks and do keep an eye out on social media where mine and my teamies samples are being shared.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Bye for now,

Jane x

What a stunning background for our dragonfly stamp Jane! The colours are fabulous together and the gold embossing and acetate layer look really beautiful. Thank you! And thank you for sharing your photos of the wonderful dragonfly you spotted too ♡
