Vibrant Card | Flower + Dragonfly Stamps

Hi! Happy Sunday to you! We hope you are enjoying some time out this weekend. Ericka is here on the blog today with an amazing vibrant card featuring our big grungy flower stamps with our gorgeous dragonfly stamp…

Hello! Summer has started here and today I have a bright summery project using the Visible Image latest release: Dragonfly Reflection, Where Flowers Bloom, and Butterfly Effect.

Vibrant Card | Flower + Dragonfly Stamps | Clear | Rubber

For my project, I started with a gel print background I made using Dylusions Shimmer Paints. These paints are awesome and the shine and bright colors are perfect for summer. It is however, a little difficult to get a good photo with all the shimmer.

After I pulled the print of my gel press, I stamped the Dragonfly and Blooms in Versfine ink and clear embossed them. I also stamped these images on some other gel press prints I had printed out and cut them out so I could add them to my project.

I also added elements from both of these sets in white ink and clear embossed the page.

I attached the blooms and dragonfly with foam tape to my project. I also stamped and embossed the dragonfly wings with WOW! Embossing Powder in Carnival.

I then stamped the sentiments from the Where the Flowers Bloom set in Versafine ink and clear embossed it as well.

To finish my card I added the small butterfly from the Butterfly Effect stamp set.

I added my project to an 8×8 black cardstock to give it a framed look.

Vibrant Card Flower Dragonfly Stamps

Flower + Butterfly Stamps | Summer Card

Hello! We hope you are keeping well. Jane is here to inspire you today with a fabulous summer card featuring the flower and butterfly stamps from our May release, which co-ordinate wonderfully….

Good Morning

Today I am mixing up 2 of the fabulous new A5 stamp sets

WHERE FLOWERS BLOOM

where flowers bloom | stamp set | clear | rubber | big flower | cotton thread | grunge

BUTTERFLY EFFECT

butterfly effect stamp | big | large | clear | rubber | grunge

This is what I got up to;

I decided to make an 8 X 6″ card.

I made a background with this mix of distress inks.

I added some collage stamping with a grunge background element from the Where Flowers Bloom set, and also used the string stamp.

I embossed the large flower 3 times using Wendy Vecchi cactus flower embossing powder.

I stamped and cut out 1 large and 2 small butterflies from the Butterfly Effect set, and coloured them using these distress inks.

I added a little Blueprint sketch ink to their edges.

I also stamped out one of the sentiments the Butterfly Effect set, cut it out and matted it onto black card. I then put everything together.

Here is my finished card

with a couple of close ups;

and one last shot

I have also started up a Visible Image Artist Trading Card swap over in the Facebook group! 46 swappers including several of the VI Design Team took part in the first “Just Be You” swap. This was my swap for May using the Beautiful Soul Stamp Set which I sent off to my swap partner.

I actually made 4 as I keep one, sent one to my granddaughter and I also swapped one elsewhere.

Everyone is welcome to join in Worldwide, so do come and join the group to find out more! Visible Image ATCs have been flying all over the world!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Bye for now,

Jane x

Daisy Stencil | Butterfly Stamps

Hello and Happy Friday to you! Sorry our blog has been a little neglected for a few days, it’s been such a busy week! We have also been doing live demos over on our Facebook PAGE most evenings so check them out if you haven’t already! Our wonderful Design Team have been really enjoying creating lots of projects with our NEW stencils, and Jane Tyrrell is here on the blog today with a gorgeous summer canvas featuring our ‘Daisy Daisy’ stencil with our new ‘Summer Wings’ stamps, a perfect combination…

Sharing the same name as my Granddaughter Daisy, I just had to use this stencil for my first make with the new release.

daisy stencil | frameless | visible image

How gorgeous is that!

I wanted to create something very light and summery so I got out my distress sprays and had a play on watercolour card.

I love that you can use the spray ink left behind to print with too (these are the images on the white
card)

I decided to use stamps from the Summer Wings set to make a very summery canvas.

butterfly stamp | dragonfly | summer | reflect

I stamped lots on inky mop up card and then added some more inks as needed.

I also stamped and cut the words into “banners”

I used this stenciled image.

I stamped my butterflies in place

and then decoupaged the wings adding glossy accents to their centres, and to the the centre of the daisy stencil.

Here is the finished canvas..

This is such a pretty stencil and would work in so many different colourways and with so many different stamps. A real “must have” for any crafter.

The new stencil release is available to pre-order now! There are 8 more stencils in the release, do check out social media and the Facebook page where there are lots of samples being shared.

Daisy Daisy | NEW Stencil

Hello! We hope you had a lovely weekend. We are very excited to be previewing our awesome NEW stencils this week! Our Design Team have been having so much fun with them over the weekend! Ericka Strange is kicking off this week’s inspiration with 2 vibrant summer cards featuring our gorgeous ‘Daisy Daisy’ and ‘Mesh it Up’ frameless stencils…

For my first card…

I used the new Daisy Daisy stencil along with Mesh It Up.

daisymain

I started with a gel press print that I had created with Distress Oxides and paint. Originally it wasn’t anything too great, but then I added embossing ink with my blending tool to the Mesh It Up stencil, and sprinkled WOW! Bahama embossing powder on it.

I love the chunky texture both the stencil and the embossing powder give the panel.

I then took some Bristol Smooth paper and the Daisy Daisy stencil and blended Distress Oxides in  Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, and Marmalade.

daisyside

I cut the outline of the stencil out and stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Soul stamp set in black on the daisy.

For my second card..

I used the same Daisy Daisy stencil but on a panel I created with Distress Oxide reinkers on photo paper.

For more information on how to create the background check out my blog post here.

I then used the stencil and applied Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide lightly around the stencil with a blending brush.

I stamped the butterflies from the Wings of Change set in Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide. I also used the sentiment and stamped it in black archival ink.

I love the grungy but bright look the distress oxides have on the photopaper and the different layers.

Summer Kindness | Dragonfly Stamp

Hi there! Wow it’s another scorching hot day here in the UK! So perfect for more gorgeous summer inspiration… Jane Tyrrell has a beautiful card to share with you featuring our new dragonfly stamp…

Happy summer! Yes we have enjoyed our longest day too and the long summers days loom ahead. I live very near the River Wandle as it winds its way back up to London and I delight in my walks along it.

As I walked along yesterday I saw a flash of colour in the undergrowth

I only had my phone with me (very unusal for me!) but I managed to snap a very summery visitor, a shimmery dragonfly.

This leads in perfectly to my latest design team project for Visible Image and I am sharing another sample I made using the brand new stamp release which is released tomorrow!

I made a summery card using the lovely dragonfly from the Summer Wings set:

summer stamps | butterfly | dragonfly | line drawings

I decided to get out my alcohol inks and made a summery background

I cut it down for a 7X5″ card

I stamped all the images onto acetate which I had also added alcohol ink to (I will use the butterflies for another project).

I also gold embossed some of them (sorry no photos!) I decided to use just the wings of the gold embossed acetate dragonfly and gold embossed another on some inky mop up card. I used the 2 together to make a real statement dragonfly.

This was just right for my alcohol ink background.

I also decided to use one of the fab sentiments from the new Equality, Hope and Love stamp set

equality | hope| love | sentiment stamps | definitions

Here is my finished card.

kindness sentiment stamp | dragonfly | alcohol inks

with some close ups..

and one last shot:

I have LOTS more samples to share over the coming weeks and do keep an eye out on social media where mine and my teamies samples are being shared.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Bye for now,
