Stay Mindful | Handmade Card

Hello and Happy Sunday to you! We hope you have a relaxing day planned, or can at least squeeze in a little time just for you ♡ Jane is here today with a gorgeous card featuring our ‘Mindful Moments’ stamps…

Good Morning

Today’s project showcases the  Mindful Moments stamp set. I decided to be use the summer sunshine and enjoyment of sandy beach holidays for my inspiration.
What is better than the sun shining at the seaside?

We will be back here in September and I can sit and be mindful of the blessings I have in my life.

Our beloved Rhodes..

This is the fab set which has lots of great accessory stamps and sentiments to use both for cards, tags, mixed media and journalling.

mindfulness - stamps - meditation - yoga - let go - calm

I also used one of the sentiments from the Look Forward with Hope stamp set

Hope - sentiment stamps - inspiring quotes

I used PaperArtsy infusions to create my background and then stamped the sentiment.

I added some mustard seed Oxide ink to tone things down a little

and stamped the sun into the corner.

I used the oxide to colour the centre of the sun

I die cut an ornate frame in gold

Next I stamped the main image and some of the flowers onto acetate coloured with alcohol inks and cut them out.

I also stamped “let go” onto yellow vellum

Then it was time to put everything together.

Here is my finished card…

Through The Storm | Handmade Card

Hello! Guest Designer Lynda Hall is here on the blog today with a gorgeous card featuring one of our newer sentiments, written by Helen, called ‘You’ll get through this storm’…

Wow it’s just come across really stormy here in Hampshire this afternoon and the heavens have opened. A perfect moment to be sharing this card for Visible Image.

you'll get through this storm - card

I created this from a mop up card that I had from a previous project, using Amsterdam acrylic ink. The combination of blues and greys just screamed ‘sea’ to me.

I used the ‘strobes’ stencil and swiped some gesso through it to give a white base for some rays of sunshine.

I swiped yellow and orange paint over the top when dry, and stamped and heat embossed the sun from the ‘Look Forward With Hope’ set in the centre.

I stamped some clouds from the same set, and painted with acrylic ink. For this I used my stamping platform, as once I had painted I wanted to re stamp the detail over the top.

I added some waves with paint to create the stormy sea.

The final step was to stamp the sentiment  and fussy cut some paper boats from the ‘Destination Unknown’ set and pop them in the sea to bob about.

I added the rest of the sentiment inside the card.

inspiring quote stamp

As if by magic as I uploaded the final image here , the rain stopped, the clouds lifted and the sun came out. How bizare is that!

Products Used:

strobes - rays - stencil

hope - sentiment stamps - inspiring words

paper boats - stamps - planes - destination - journey

I’ll be back soon with more Visible Image inspiration for you.

Lynda

We adore this card.. you have interpreted the sentiment so perfectly Lynda. Your stormy seas look amazing and the rays of sunshine are stunning! Thank you ♡

Live in the Moment | Dragonfly Stamp

Hello! We are thrilled to welcome Nadine Carlier to the blog today with her debut post as a Guest Designer! Nadine has created a stunning card to inspire you, featuring our beautiful dragonfly stamp…

Sometimes you just need to live in the moment! I created this card using stamps from Visible Image for my first Guest Design Team post.

dragonfly stamp | alcohol inks

For the background, I used photo paper and used some alcohol ink. I first got the paper wet with some blending solution, and dropped on some alcohol ink and using a straw I blew the alcohol ink around on the paper. I continued doing this with 4 different colors of alcohol ink in Sail Boat Blue, Wild Plum, Bottle, and Mixative Silver until I was happy with how it looked.

Once the alcohol ink was basically dry, but still had some tacky areas left, I used some Xyron Glaminator Copper Transfer Foil by pressing (shiny side facing up) it down onto the tacky areas and then lifted it back up. This left some of the foil stuck to the tacky areas.

Photo paper will crack and bubble if heated with a heat tool which was what I wanted, so I used my heat tool onto the background until it started to crack.

The dragonfly and sentiment are from the Visible Image Live In The Moment Stamp Set.

I stamped the dragonfly using StazOn Ink in Jet Black onto the background. Using another piece of photo paper I used the Sail Boat Blue and Bottle Alcohol Ink colors by just dropping it around on the paper with some blending solution and dried it with my heat tool until it started to crack. Then I stamped the dragonfly onto the new piece of photo paper. I fussy cut out the dragonfly and outlined the dragonfly and also the background piece with a Copper DecoColor Premium Paint Marker and then adhered the dragonfly down onto where I stamped it onto the background. Then stamped the sentiment with StazOn in Jet Black using my Misti stamping platform. Added some Diamond Glaze onto the dragonfly and adhered everything down to a white card base. All done!

Nadine this is absolutely stunning! That copper foiling looks amazing against those vibrant colours, and highlights the dragonfly stamp beautifully ♡ Thank you!

Look Forward With Hope | Handmade Card

Hello! Sorry we have neglected our blog lately, the last few weeks have been a challenge as I (Helen) had a nasty fall and have been in quite a lot of pain. So… as we have lots of inspiration to catch up with here on the blog, we are planning lots of posts over the next few days sharing the latest cards and projects from our fabulous Design Team and our wonderful guest designers! Jane Tyrrell is kicking things off with a gorgeous card that would brighten anyone’s spirits, it has definitely brightened mine! As I have now started a programme of physiotherapy, I will look forward with hope to being pain free again! Over to Jane…

Good Evening,

Today I have used one of the 3 lovely new sentiment sets. This one is called Look Forward with Hope. So many really positive sentiments, suitable for all occasions.

positive - quote - stamps - sentiment - rubber

I decided I wanted to make a seaside feel card. I added some distress oxides to speciality stamping card and then added some “sea” using paints.

I then added fossilized amber distress oxide ink through the Strobes stencil

rays - strobes - stencil

I decided I wanted more texture so I added texture paste through the strobes stencil in the same area. When dry I found that the sunshine in the set fitted perfectly inside. I also added some Glossy accents to the sun which you can see in the final photos.

I stamped some of the clouds directly onto the crackle and others I stamped onto card and fussy cut out.

I then stamped and coloured one of the sweet dolphins from the Mythical Mermaid stamp set

mermaid stamp

and fussy cut him out. I added a little sheen with Spectrum Noir sparkle.

I also stamped some waves using the stamp in the mermaid set. I then stamped the ‘don’t look back’ sentiment from the set, added the dolphin, a little white ink highlighting and my card was finished..

look forward - hope - card - rubber stamp

A couple of close ups…

And one final shot.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Back soon.

Bye for now,
Jane x

It’s ok to not be ok | Card

Hi there! Veerle Moreels is here this evening with a beautiful heartfelt card which would be perfect for anyone going through a tough time…

Mixed media on a card…why not?  And even though I made this project in the shape of a card it’s also a possibility to turn it into an art journal page.

Either way you choose to have a go at, be it a little reminder for yourself, or for it to be a bit positive reinforcement for anyone who needs it, have a go as these words should be out there… It is okay to not be okay. We are humans, no heroes. Well sometimes we are a hero but I think it’s safe to say we are no heroes 24/7 and no one is, not even our heroes.

Sunshine on a Rainy Day | Sentiment Stamp

Hello! We have Stempelfrida here on the blog today with a gorgeous summery card featuring our ‘Sunshine on a Rainy Day’ sentiment…

I sincerely hope that your day was sunny in your heart, but if it wasn’t, I’ll send you some sun with my card.

When I saw the flowers from Visible Image, I fell in love with them immediately. And the font of the text is sooooo beautiful, isn’t it? It fits so well and is so nice and playful.

It is my second card for the guest design team of Visible Image.

Unfortunately I didn’t think about taking photos in between when I created the background, because I used a special effect. You need glossy paper and Distress Oxides. With these I have stained diligently and worked with water. I also stamped circles in different colours. And then comes the big secret: With a little sponge you apply a little Micro Glaze and rub away the chalk-like pigments of the Oxides. The gloss of the paper comes through again and everything shines beautifully. Maybe I can take a snapshot before and after the next time.

And then a Faux-Pas happened to me! Since I was not yet clear before stamping the text, with which colour I would paint it and whether at all, I first cheerfully stamped with Versafine … and then decided that I would like to make it a bit colourful. And preferably with Copics, sigh! Well, then I had to be very careful at the lines and with my markers and I had to stripe off black ink again and again. For those who are not so familiar with it: Versafine doesn’t work with alcohol-based marker, they dissolve the lines. That is why I usually stamp these things with Memento before colouring them.

That’s how I did it with the flowers and the butterfly. I first stamped them with Memento and then coloured them with Copics and cut out by hand. I bent the butterfly on its wings to make it pop.

For the base card I stamped the structures with Versamark (the edges were sufficient) and embossed them in white.

I scribbled at bit on the edges and added Nuvo Drops. I mounted everything with distance pads.

Stamps Used:

sentiment stamps

butterfly - stamps - grunge

organics - inky - ink splat - stamps

flower stamp - inky - creativity

Other Supplies:

stamp pads: Distress Oxides spun sugar, dried marigold, picked raspberry; Versafine onyx black; Memento tuxedo black; Versamark
embossing powder: Stampendous! detail white
Copics R81, R83, R85, R89, Y13, Y19, YR16, RV04, RV09
Copic Multiliner 0.5
Signo Marker weiß
Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss simply white, english mustard, carnation pink
Glossy Accents
Judy Kins Micro Glaze

We adore this card, it’s so gorgeous and happy!  Thank you Stempelfrida ♡

You’ll Get Through This Storm | Sentiment Stamp

Hi there! Sharon Traynor is here with such a gorgeous and very clever card today featuring one of the uplifting sentiment stamps from our NEW ‘Look Forward With Hope’ stamp set…

you'll get through this storm - sentiment stamp

Well, I hope you have sunshine and not rain storms wherever you live. However, as soon as I saw the cloud and sentiment stamps in this Look Forward With Hope brand new stamp set by Visible Image I knew I wanted to make a card where beads move up and down threads like raindrops.

I’ve seen these cards around the internet and thought I would try to make one. I don’t know if I have made it correctly….but this is my take.

First blend some distress inks onto white card. Add the time tunnel stencil (my favourite!) on the top and blend though it with broken china distress ink. Move the stencil and blend again so that you have 2 swirls.

spiral stencil

Add a little iced spruce through the cosmic skies stencil.

galaxy sky stencil

Then stamp a few of the clouds with broken china ink.

Cut the panel to size, then add layers of shaker tape as shown below. Sandwich threads, with beads on them, between the layers of shaker tape, making sure that the beads can move freely.

TIP: Once the threads were in place I dusted the sides of the shaker tape with baby powder. This makes sure that there are no sticky patches on the sides.

Cut a white ‘frame’ panel for the front of the card and adhere it to the background. Heat emboss the central sentiment panel in silver embossing powder and attach that too. Attach the whole thing to a card blank.

On the inside stamp the sentiment and the image

Products Used:

sentiment stamps - uplifting - positive

  spiral stencil

  galaxy sky stencil

Other Supplies:

Distress Oxide Inks (tumbled glass, broken china, iced spruce), Prism inks (canary yellow, orange zest), Versafine onyx black, Versamark clear, WOW! metallic silver embossing powder, shaker foam tape, thread, silver beads, white card, baby powder

That’s it from me for now. Thanks for stopping by and I really hope to see you again soon.

Hugs,
Sharon xx

The World Needs Art | Visible Image

Hello! We have Jane Tyrrell here on the blog this evening with an awesome project featuring lots of our creative quote stamps…

Today I am sharing an accordion card I took to the Crafting at Ally Pally show last month.

I wanted something to show off lots of the latest stamps and quotes, which have been so popular!

My accordion cards features stamps from all these sets:

How I created it:

I used PaperArtsy Fresco paints.

and brayered a background onto 2 A4 sheets of card as I wanted to make 2 masterboards to cut up.

I used these colours of Archival ink

and randomly stamped over the sheets using all the image sets. Here is one of the sheets in progress

I then die cut my accordion card

>

and stamped the 4 World needs art sentiments, 1 on each panel.

I also added some stamps which I yellow embossed

and also stamped and cut out a few images.

I then put everything together…

and some close ups…

After I finished off my card I had some off-cuts. I had a flash of inspiration that I could use them to made Artist trading coins, which I did…

These were all packed ready for taking to the show when I had one last idea. If I attached a badge back to them I could turn them into badges for Helen, Mark and myself to wear at the show!

I quickly ordered some on line and hey presto, one of a kind badges!

which Mark, Helen and I wore at the show!

I really had a lovely day and thoroughly enjoyed demoing and meeting so many lovely crafters, new and seasoned!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Back soon.
Bye for now,

Jane x

You Are Loved | Valentine Card

Hello! We hope you had a great weekend! We were busy in the garden making the most of a rain free Sunday. Sharon Traynor is here to inspire you today with a romantic gift set featuring some clever designing with our really cool jumbled letters stamp and ‘You Are Loved’ sentiment…

This week I have a whole gift set made with the fantastic ‘One Kind Word‘ stamp set.

jumbled letters - stamp - typewriter - you are loved

Now I’m not one of those people that really ‘does’ Valentines day, but when I spotted a neat little positioning trick to make a heart shape out of this text stamp…

I just couldn’t stop myself from going crazy and making a whole coordinating gift set for Valentines day!

So, I made a matching card and envelope with some wrapping paper and a coordinating gift tag

valentine card - typewriter stamp

handmade stamped wrapping paper

I really love how pretty this set looks.

And it is so easy to create these too, once you see how to make the heart shape, which actually is incredibly simple to do!

Just stamp the image once Then rotate and stamp again. (The black lines in the second photo below shows the side of the stamp that I rotated and how it matched up to the first stamped image). Easy peasy!

valentine card - jumbled letters - typerwriter - stamps

To make the card, I stamped the typewriter and the sentiment in black ink, then stamped the heart (using the method  in the photos above) over the typewriter in a pink ink.

The smallest heart from the stamp set was stamped a few times around the border and a little doodling added before mounting onto coordinating pink and black paper, and then affixing to a card blank.

On the envelope flap I stamped the heart shape again and added the ‘You Are Loved’ sentiment.

The wrapping paper was made by sticking some sheets of printer paper together and stamping the heart shape in a repeating pattern all over the paper.

The sentiment was stamped into the middle of the hearts on one row, missing the next row and stamping it again in the hearts of the row underneath, continuing like that on each alternate row until the last row on the paper. Then a smaller heart was stamped into some of the gaps in a regular pattern across the paper.

The gift tag was made by heat embossing onto black paper and fussy cutting out into a heart shape. That was then attached to white card and fussy cut to make to give a white border, and the back of the tag would then be easy to write on. An eyelet was added and the tag attached to the present with black ribbon and a few pink flowers to match.

Stamps Used:

typewriter stamp - you are loved - jumbled letters

Other Supplies:

Versafine onxy black ink, Versacolor 33 pink ink, Versamark clear ink, WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder, Black micron pen, misti stamping tool, printer paper, black ribbon, pink flowers, black & pink paper and white card.

I do hope you like this set and that you will pop by again soon.

Hugs,
Sharon xx

These are so pretty Sharon! You’re the first to spot that the jumbled letters will make a heart ♡

Inspiring Words Stamps for 2019

Hello and Happy New Year to You! We are excited to be back after a good break and today kicks off another year of amazing inspiration from our wonderful team. Jane is here with some inspiring words stamps on a gorgeous wall hanging…

Good morning it’s time to get back to “normal” after all the excitement and celebrations of Christmas and the new year. The Visible Image team have all been on a break but today I’m delighted to be kicking off with the first Design team inspiration post of 2019.

I do love the new year…. I never make resolutions but I do think it’s a good time to take stock of our views and hopes in life. I love the inspiring words that Helen writes which Mark turns into amazing stamps which I can incorporate into my crafting.

I decided to use the words from Voices in your Head to create an inspirational wall hanging for the year.

I made some backgrounds with my small Gelli plate (lucky me got an 8″ by 10″ one from Santa so watch out for more larger projects using this).

I used some DecoArt media acrylics and stamps from the Visometry set

and also the Two Tone stencil to pull some prints

I made a whole batch of prints

and selected 3 to make into ATCs.

I gold embossed the words and added some more patterns with gold ink using universal. Sorry the photos are a little dark, there is so little daylight this time of the year when I am crafting inside.

For the wall hanging I used some corrugated card on mount board. I exposed some of the core and added paints and crackle paint. Once dry I rubbed on some Treasure gold. I attached some string using my mini stapler.

I also stamped the year using the numbers from Alphabetical onto scraps of gelli prints and mounted them on card.

So here is my finished wall hanging..

Our Christmas/Winter challenge on Facebook runs until the end of January so you still have a whole month to make something and be in with a chance of winning the £40 voucher to spend on some gorgeous new stamps or stencils! The winner is selected by random so everyone has an equal winning chance.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for the kind comments you take the time to leave. There are lots of exciting Visible Image newbies in the pipeline, and I am so looking forward to designing with them! An exciting year is ahead and I am going to try to remember these inspiring words during 2019.

Back soon.

Bye for now,

Time for The Next Chapter

Hi there! Lisa Taggart is here on the blog today with an amazing card featuring our ‘One Kind Word’ stamp set which includes a fantastic typewriter stamp with different greetings which fit on the paper…

hello - typewriter - stamp - card

These are the main products used:

typewriter stamp - rubber - clear

two tone stencil

I used watercolour card. The background was created using inktense blocks. The colour was brushed on with a large brush and blended. The block colour along with white for the top was sponged through the stencil using the square part.

The typewriter stamp was stamped and heat embossed in black on to white card and cut out.

The letters and hearts were stamped in teal ink (first and second generation ink). The centre letters were highlighted using a black posca pen and then black and gold ink splatters added. The main image was added below raised on foam pads. The sentiments were added.

Typewriter Stamp | Greeting Card

Hi there! We have so much wonderful inspiration to share with you, so let’s get started!! Sharon Traynor has created an incredible card featuring the typewriter stamp from our ‘One Kind Word’ set…

I love crafting! Don’t you?

For me, it gives me such a great excuse just to play with colour and any bits and pieces that I can lay my hands on in my craft room. So this week I’ve been playing with some more fabulous Visible Image stamps,  brushos, stamping on brushos and creating a distressed look with some embossing glitter – and by that I mean that the glittery elements are not solid but more patchy.

typewriter stamp | greeting card

These brusho colours make such an interesting background for the brilliant typewriter, don’t they? And the loopy border at the top makes it look like the background has been ripped out of a spiral bound notebook too.

It’s been a little hard to capture the glittery elements in the photos, but if you click on the photos and look at them when they are larger you should be able to see bits of the glitter embossing.

So how did I make this?

First, wet the water colour card and sprinkle a tiny bit of brushos on. If the brushos don’t move enough, use the smallest amount of sprayed water to help them along. Dry with a heat tool.

Stamp the ‘cracks’ in distress ink and emboss with embossing glitter. The large cracks were stamped with salty ocean then heat embossed  with clear multi sparkle embossing glitter. The small cracks were stamped with antique linen and heat embossed with clear sparkle embossing glitter.

Stamp the typewriter with black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Mask each word in the sentiment separately and stamp onto the typewriter paper part with black ink then clear emboss.

Fussy cut the typewriter image.

Stamp the word ‘incredible’ with salty ocean distress oxide onto a scrap piece of card and heat emboss with clear sparkle embossing glitter.

Punch out a loopy border and attach it to the top of the brusho piece of card.

Cut pieces of blue glitter card to fit as mats for the brusho background and the ‘incredible’ sentiment, and then back these and the  typewriter with fun foam.

TIP: cut the middle of the glitter card mat for the background so that the foam on the back of that piece can be adhered directly onto the card blank.

Glue the large blue mat and background to the card blank, attach the brusho piece on top (so that the glue/tape runner sticks into the gutted piece and directly onto the card blank.

Attach the typewriter, then the blue mat for the sentiment, and finally the sentiment.

Draw a random dot/dash pattern around the main image panel and the sentiment.

Stamps Used:

Other Supplies:

Papermill Direct white hopsack card, brushos (cobalt blue, orange), distress spritzer, distress oxides (salty ocean, antique linen), WOW! embossing glitters (clear sparkle, clear multi sparkle), Versafine onyx black ink, Ranger superfine clear embossing powder, fun foam, blue pen, border punch (an old Martha Stewart one).

Hugs,
Sharon xx

You Are Not Alone

Good Evening! This week is flying by, can’t believe it will be Friday tomorrow! We have the lovely Veerle Moreels on the blog this evening with a gorgeous tag featuring our ‘you are not alone’ stamp…

Hello!

Sometimes you see a set and you just fall in love. Well this ‘You Are Not Alone’ set is one of them.  Sometimes it’s so easy to explain and sometimes it’s not, it’s a feeling that a set gives you and that’s exactly what’s going on with this set.

hand stamp - visible image

I love the hands and love the words, they will make perfect cards to give some support to anyone in need of it. But they have so many more possibilities. For today’s project I chose to make a supportive tag…

And yes, that’s a little bit of gold on my butterfly ^.^

you are not alone - sentiment stamp

And yes,  I had some fun burning holes in my tag ^.^

Here’s the tag in it’s full glory.  But you could easily make it in a card’s version, and choose to make it in a color. Or just give the butterfly a color instead of the golden accent I chose for this tag…

Time To Write The Next Chapter

Hello! We hope Monday has been kind to you! We are so excited to share lots of gorgeous inspiration created with our brand new stamps and stencils this week! Release date isn’t far away now… just a few more days! We have been really busy shipping orders off to stockists all around the world today, so keep an eye out in your local store or favourite online retailer over the next week! Today’s inspiration comes from Jane Tyrrell and features our (already) incredibly popular ‘One Kind Word’ stamp set, which includes a brilliant typewriter stamp and so much more…

Good Evening

It’s the 1st of October and a Monday so of course that means it’s my day for sharing my Monday Design Team make for Visible Image.

Today I am sharing for the first time a card I made using the brilliant One Kind Word set.

typewriter stamp - time to write the next chapter

Now don’t tell anyone, but this is my favourite. I have honestly been looking for a vintage typewriter stamp where I could actually stamp words on the paper for years. Well now I can. It is such a clever set and I am sure is going to be a best seller. It works for so many occasions and for card making, journalling etc etc.

I had a lovely Friday and Saturday creating in my garden studio. There was wall to wall blue skies and sunshine and I loved being outside. I have noticed the signs of autumn though all around me.

.

We are starting a new challenge today over on our Visible Image Facebook group. The theme is “Autumn Colours”. So dig out your brown, yellow, orange, gold, mauve, red and other autumnal colours and your Visible Image stamps/stencils. We would love for your to join in! The winner is randomly selected so whether you are a novice or experienced stamper you have a chance of winning the £40 voucher to spend over in the shop.

My card was made in shades of browns to hopefully give some inspiration for our new “autumn colours” challenge, I also wanted to create a vintage feel to it.

I was very taken by one of the 2 sentiments in this set “time to write a new chapter” and I had a light bulb moment when I was sitting in my studio. I had decided to include my much used vintage book pages from “A tale of 2 cities” donated by my Hb.

As I was thinking of how I would use them in my design I thought that I could actually find a page that was the end of a chapter, ready to start a new one. I found a suitable page and stamped the sentiment and the letters flourish in brown ink. I also cut out the paper part and stamped the words, “You are loved” in brown ink. I put some foam under the top of this and glued down the base to add some dimension.

I made a “book” with my vintage book pages and aged them using vintage photo distress ink plus a little tearing and peeling here and there.

I stamped, embossed and fussy cut out my typewriter and stamped the small and large hearts and matted up my card.

Here it is..

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a very happy October, the year is just racing by now.

Back soon.

Bye for now,

Jane x

a touch – a feeling – a heartbeat

Good Evening! We are back with more NEW stamps inspiration today! Pauline Butcher has got her hands on our amazing new hands stamps. This stamp set has such a powerful message, and Pauline has portrayed it brilliantly in her amazing card…

Hello,

It’s time for me to share a card I’ve made using some awesome Visible Image products.

This week, I’ve used another of the brand new stamp sets, along with a new ‘must have’ stencil.

hand stamps - a touch - a feeling - a heartbeat

My background was achieved using Ink Sprays on Shaving foam. I made a circular design, before taking my print. When it was dry, I stamped the hands from the You are not Alone’ stamp set, using a Versafine Black Ink pad. I decided that they didn’t show up enough, so I stamped them again onto a piece of white card, coloured them using Clean Color watercolour brush pens, and fussy cut them.

a touch - a feeling - a heartbeat

Before adding the cut out hands to my background, I stamped the fabulous circles, making sure the smaller one contained the ends of the fingers. I took the sentiments one by one, and gently bent them on my stamping block, to coincide with the circle marks (made by the shaving foam), and stamped them in black, highlighting them with a white pen.

I felt the two opposite corners needed something, so I used dotty side of the very useful new stencil called Two Tone, and blended through it with pink and yellow Distress Inks. The final touch was to add the hands with Pinflair 3D glue gel, and added some glitter to the circles in the middle.

Late Summer Moments

Hi there! We have more stunning inspiration from Jane Tyrrell here on the blog today, featuring our dragonfly stamps and live in the moment sentiment…

Good Evening, we are actually enjoying some late summer sunshine in the South of England but the evenings are drawing in and the sun is less high in the sky each day. The sunsets seem deeper and more intense at this time of the year.

I have used this as inspiration for my Design Team make for Visible Image.

I got out some alcohol ink and yupo and made this background.

I worked with 2 stamp sets; Live in the Moment

I stamped the large and medium dragonflies onto card and added some pink and red Wink of Stella for some sparkle. I cut out just the wings.

I also stamped all the dragonflies onto my card base

I then added 2 layers of into the woods, one on acetate to add depth to my card. I also added the extra wings.

Some close ups..

One last shot..

Thanks for stopping by today, remember to try to “live in the moment” as life really does flash by and we need to savour being in the here and now.

Back soon.

Bye for now,

Available to pre-order now!

Visible Image - October Release 2018 - NEW stamps and stencils

RELEASE DATE: OCTOBER 5TH

The most exciting part of any release is seeing the very first samples created with them, and today we have been wowed by Jane Tyrrell’s first card, featuring our ‘You Are Not Alone’ stamp set which includes our amazing reaching hands stamps and some really inspiring words. Over to Jane…

Good Morning, I am delighted to be sharing the first sample using one of the brand new October release stamp sets:

reaching hands stamps - you are not alone sentiment - visible image

Inspired by the changing blue sky of Rhodes, I made 2 cards which I called Night and Day. Today I am sharing “Night”, I will share “Day” another time.

I made an blue oxide background on black card. I thought the hands are like those of the legends of the Greek gods making mischief from the heavens to the ancient Greeks below them on earth…. perhaps even on Rhodes thousands of year ago. I studied classical civilizations at both O and A level at school and loved the stories of the Odyssey and Iliad.

card - you are not alone - visible image stamps

Here are some close ups…

The reaching hands stamps are so detailed and the circles and sentiments are fun to play with.

I used gold ink to stamp the circles, to me they represent the sunshine and in this vast universe I am pretty certain that we are not alone.

One more shot, I edged the card with gold ink which you can just see in this photo.

Brighten The World

Hi there! Lisa Taggart is here on the blog to brighten the world with a stunning card created with our ‘Into The Woods’ stamps with our ‘Vivid Colours’ quote…

I’ve got some beautiful Visible Image stamps today, and a scene that is surprisingly easy to create. All you need are your Spectrum Noir sparkle pens in sunset colours, some torn copy paper and of course your ‘Into The Woods’ stamp set and the lovely sentiment!

Here’s how it looks:

brighten the world - sunset scene - card - Visible Image stamps

Here are the products:

forest stamps - tree stamp - visible image

let your vivid colours brighten the world - quote stamp

To create the background I sprayed some water colour card with water. I squeezed some colour from the pens on to my craft mat – blues, purple, pink, orange and yellow. Using a paint brush and water I laid down the colours and let them bleed together (wet on wet). When dry, I inked against a piece of roughly torn copy paper using grey versa fine ink. I stamped the focal image and owl in black and, using parts of the tree stamps, I stamped around the edges and on top of the torn paper (black at the front and 2nd and third generation ink to create dimension). The sentiment was then added and the picture mounted on to complimentary card.

Love Unconditionally

Hi there! We have more gorgeous Design Team inspiration to share with you this evening. Veerle Moreels has a fantastic video for you, showing how she created this beautiful tag featuring our cracked glass stamp…

Love… with all of your heart. Love… unconditionally. Because before you know it, your chance of being able to give your love can be over and all you can do is look at the stars.

Never thought that this video, which I made a couple of weeks ago, would make so much sense today. The feeling I had weeks ago, having me make this one, stands so much stronger after the past week.

Enjoy the video…

You Make Your Story

Hi there! We are back with more fantastic inspiration! Veerle Moreels has a great video tutorial for you showing how she created her latest tag featuring some of the words stamps from our ‘Voices In Your Head’ set with our awesome ‘Elemental’ blue print background stamp…

you make your story - tag

You… no one else. It’s you who is truly in charge of making your own story.
Yes, you can leave it up to others but… will they write it the way you want it to go? After all, they can’t look inside of your head and soul to see what is really going on in there.

And yes, others can come in and try to turn it all upside down. But you are in charge of taking control again and turn everything right back as you want it to be.

Are there things we can’t control? Yes, sure. But you decide how to go from there.
You see… you make your story.

If you think you might need a little reminder sometimes… go and take out those Visible Image stamps and create with me. I have it all filmed in my new video ^.^

Make your story a beautiful one.

You’re Stronger Than You Think

Hello! Hope you are having a great weekend! The sun in shining here in Wales, it’s absolutely gorgeous! And we have some gorgeous inspiration coming your way here on the blog today too. Jane Tyrrell has combined 2 stamp sets from our April release to create and amazing card. If you know someone going through a difficult time this card would be perfect for them, to remind them ‘you’re stronger than you think’…

Good Evening,
it’s time for my weekly DT make for Visible Image and today I am using stamps from the So Much Stronger set

inspiring quote stamps - visible image

and the single tree from the Into The Woods set

forest - bare tree - stamps - visible image

I made an alcohol ink background, using glossy card stock, gradually adding drops until I was happy

I then stamped the tree and embossed it with Seth Apter’s baked texture embossing powder.. I love these powders as they have “bits” in which give a very different effect

I then stamped and black embossed the sentiment and also some leaves from the super Create it set

The ‘you’re so much stronger than you think’ sentiment works so well with the tree stamp

I then matted and layered up my card

You're Stronger Than You Think - card

I also wanted to show how well these words work with existing sets. I teamed it up with wings from the

I made a distress oxide background by adding the inks to my craft mat with water and picking them up

I stamped and glitter gold embossed a pair of wings which I then fussy cut out

I cut the background down into a square

and black embossed my words, I picked out the “angels” and embossed that part in glitter gold powder, the same as the wings, to make it pop

I added my wings using foam pads to raise the edges and give some dimension.

I then matted and layered my card…

Here For You Always

Hi there! We are back with our last inspirational post for today. Veerle Moreels has created some gorgeous clean and simple cards with her fabulous watercolour backgrounds. These cards are perfect to tell a friend ‘I’m here for you always’…

One design five cards… it has been a long time since I made a video like that and I really had a lot of fun making this one. We are going for a fun technique, a back up plan for when it doesn’t work, and beautiful words from Visible Image.

Enjoy the video…

Those special people in our lives, we all have them. And I know it isn’t always easy to say out loud what you feel for them so why not make a card to let them know? All stamps I have used in this video can be found underneath. And take a look around in the shop as there are many more perfect words to put on your card or at the inside.

And if you don’t have watercolor, just take out your inks or reinkers or sprays or bister or… so many possibilities. And in worst case scenario… ink up those clouds ^.^

Visible Image - sentiment stamps - CAS cards

Shouldn’t we say it more often how special those people are to us?

Stamps Used:

So Much Stronger

Believe in Unicorns

Glimmer of Light

Thank you for another fantastic video Veerle! We love these cards, they really do say so much ♡

Baby Congratulations Card

Hello! We hope you are having a lovely weekend. We are back from a few days away in Edinburgh, the weather was glorious and what a fantastic City! This weekend we are catching up with all the latest projects from our amazing Design Team..  up first on the blog today is Jane Tyrrell with a gorgeous Baby Congratulations card. Over to Jane…

For this week’s Visible Image inspiration, I thought I would use the awesome Baby Bloom stencil to make a baby congratulations card.

baby bloom stencil - visible image

The congratulations sentiment is from the lovely go to words set. There are all the sentiments you ever need here in this set using a really fab type face.

go to sentiment stamps - visible image

I wanted to create a rather ethereal backgrond, an almost out of this world one and just accent the beautiful flower the baby contains as a little pop of colour. These were the oxides I used for my background.

I blended them onto some card

and then placed on the baby stencil and added more of the blue and green inks. I added red ink to the top of the flower

I outlined the image with white pen and added a mix of glossy accents and glitter to the flower head as my pop of colour.

I then stamped the word congratulations.

Here it is all matted up and ready for the amazing celebrations that a new baby brings.

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy watching everything bloom and grow around you.

Choose Happiness

Good Evening! We hope your week has started well. Jane Tyrrell is here with some bright sunshiny inspiration today featuring stamps from our ‘Choose Happiness’ set…

It’s time for my weekly inspiration for Visible Image. Today’s piece is very apt as I used the new Choose Happiness stamp set. This is one of the 3 fab new release sentiment sets. There are so many great sentiments in this set and also a really fun smiley face both as positive and negative stamp.  It takes me back to the late 1960s, I can remember them as badges in bubble gum machines. My brother and I got so excited when occasionally out came a badge as well as your gum!

Visible Image stamps - Choose Happiness

I decided to make ATCs using the sentiments and display them on a wall hanging, using the smileys to decorate it.

This is what I got up to;

I blended some “happy” distress oxide colours onto a sheet of smooth card stock…squeezed lemonade, picked raspberry, fossilized amber and dried marigold . I then stamped using the shapes from the Shape it Up set to make a masterboard. This set is brilliant for all sorts of backgrounds.

I stamped using oxides

Once my masterboard was finished I cut a strip

and from that strip I cut 3 ATC sized pieces. (An ATC size is 2 1/2 by 3 1/2″)

I then white embossed the 3 sentiments from the set and added some extra colouring using an orange gel pen.

I took a sheet of watercolour paper and altered it using the awesome new Collision stencil

I sprayed squeezed lemonade distress spray first onto the blank paper and then added carved pumpkin distress ink through the stencil

I moved the stencil down as I worked.

I rounded off the corners of my ATCs

I then stuck the background onto a piece of grey board and added some eyelets so that it could be hung as a “Choose happiness” wall hanging.

I also had fun stamping out lots of smileys. I stamped the negatives in the same oxide colours and then added the positive in black. Here are my yellow ones

This is my completed wall hanging…

choose happiness - wall hanging

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope my wall hanging made you smile…. choose happiness is a pretty good mantra to have, in my humble opinion.

Back soon.

Bye for now,
Jane x

This really does make you smile doesn’t it it? THE perfect wall hanging to look at every morning! Thanks Jane ♡

Your Mistakes Do Not Define You

Hi there! We are back with more fabulous inspiration this evening. Veerle Moreels has a gorgeous tag to share with you…

The hummingbird was the first thing I saw when this new set ‘Life is beautiful’ was released by Visible Image, but it was that circle that kept drawing my attention to it. So for today’s project I have inked it up and I combined it with some beautiful words.

No difficult techniques, just having a play with my bister and some coloring but that’s all these stamps need ^.^  I had my camera rolling and I have it low speed so you can see the magic happen with the bister ^.^

Stamps Used:

Life is Beautiful

Friends Are Angels

Hello! We hope you are having a lovely weekend. We have some gorgeous inspiration coming your way on the blog today. Have you checked our NEW quote stamps? We have 3 amazing new sets with some really inspiring, sentimental, and quirky quotes! Becca Cruger is up on the blog today with the ‘Friends are Angels’ sentiment stamp…

I am in LOOOOOOOVE with the new releases at Visible Image.

Friends Are Angels - Quote stamp - Visible Image

One of my favorite new sets is So Much Stronger, which has all of these gorgeous sentiments that are bold and powerful (like the one I’m using in my card).

Friends Are Angels - Quote stamp - Visible Image

I have been hoarding erm… carefully saving some Tim Holtz angel wings and as soon as I got my hands on this gorgeous set, I finally had the perfect card to use them on.

I’d chosen some teal and warm brown papers to use on my card, so I wanted my silver wings to match. InkaGold to the rescue!

InkaGold is perfect for altering chipboard, paper flowers, and metal pieces. It can be used as a paste, or mixed with water to create watercolors.

After I smudged with teal, I added a second layer of light gold. OOooooo shiny!

I used the same gold around on a die cut piece that would be my focal panel for my sentiment.

Sponged around the edges with some brown Distress Inks to give it a vintage vibe.

Friends Are Angels - Quote stamp - Visible Image

I added a ribbon, and embossed the lovely sentiment and I have one stunner of a final design!

This is a really beautiful card Becca ♡  We love how you have framed the sentiment with those awesome wings, and the layering is fabulous!

Make Your Story Incredible

Hello! We are back with more awesome Design Team inspiration today! Jane Tyrrell is featuring 2 of the inspiring quotes from our ‘Voices In Your Head’ set with our gorgeous face stamps, and some funky background stamps from another NEW set…

Good Evening, I am here with my weekly dose of Visible Image inspiration. The new release is now available to buy online  or via your local stockist.

Today I am sharing another of my new makes and this time I have used the brilliant Voices in your Head stamp set

with the background Shape it up set

and the iconic and best selling Face it set

I made a Distress oxide background, using Salty ocean, Squeezed lemonade and Dried marigold. I pushed the colours onto my craft mat, added some water and after 2 pick ups I stopped as I loved the way the colours dripped down. When I looked at the patterns I felt it was quite a 60s/70s retro colour blend.

I cut down the piece to a fit a 7X5″ card and blended on a little extra Squeezed Lemonade distress oxide ink. I stamped my face and decided on my words placement. For extra impact I stamped and embossed “incredible” in red.

I also stamped some of the shapes from Shape it up in blue archival ink.

Here is my Retro words girl…

There are some really amazing words in this set, and they work so well with the existing stamps too.

Thanks as always for stopping by.

Back soon.

Bye for now,
Jane x

Inspiring Sentiment Stamps

Hi there! Veerle Moreels is up next on the blog today, with a beautiful tag featuring our NEW ‘Butterfly Ink’ stencil and one of the inspiring sentiment stamps from our NEW ‘Stronger Than You Think’ set…

Sometimes I start thinking and looking at the world around us. And to many times I notice all the demands we need to fulfill. It all needs to go faster, it needs to be better.  And strangely enough we feel the need we have to meet up with them. We can’t stay behind, we have to meet to the high standards others set for us. And without knowing we let them take away beautiful parts of us, parts that make us US.

With this in mind I had a play with one of the beautiful new released words and stencils. Very easy, and CAS but I had the camera running anyway.

Don’t let anyone take away your color. Smile your beautiful smile…

How Fragile Are We

Good Evening! Thank you for visiting our blog today.

Veerle Moreels is here with a stunning new tag…

How fragile we are…

How fragile are we…

It always amazes me how, by just switching the two last words from place, you get (well I get) a completely different feeling. And depending on what the feeling is that is racing inside of me I’ll choose one or the other…

And it isn’t very hard to make a project using these words. Visible Image has enough stamps that match these words AND the little reminder I want to give myself.  Choosing the colors wasn’t hard either… this project needed black and white. And then this little tiny red heart…at the end of a very fine root of the tree.

Clean and simple, yet strong enough for me with all my tiny elements coming together…

Stamps Used:

Handmade Creative Travellers Journal

Hello and Happy Monday to you! We hope you had a lovely weekend.

We have lots of stunning inspiration here on the Visible Image blog today with 3 of our awesome Design Team bringing you brand new projects. First up today is Veerle Moreels…

All those creative ideas in my head… Some of them are just things I’m really looking forward in creating so I’m sure I will not forget them. And then there are those tiny details I think about… I just might forget about those so I write them down. Years ago on tiny little papers and I had heaps of them laying all around in the house. But I got tired of them so decided to make my own traveler’s notebook.  I bought a piece of leather and some notebooks, cut it all to the size I wanted and I was ready.

It was all black ( of course ^.^) until today. I had some playtime and created some less-is-more kind of covers for my journals. Just some color and some stamps that I needed on there as little personal reminders. Now to get all the creative inspiration in there ^.^

With the piece of leather that was left I made myself a little agenda that will get the same treatment: a pop of color and some beautiful stamps  ^.^

I think I can’t get any more organised: a bullet journal ( find post RIGHT HERE), a creative travelers notebook and a new agenda ^.^

Stamps Used:

Create With Your Soul

Music Speaks

This is a fantastic idea Veerle! Love your first pages ♡

My Pisces Son

Hello! The sun is shining here in South Wales and we have some fantastic inspiration from Jane Tyrrell here on the blog today…

Good morning, it’s time for my weekly dose of Visible Image inspiration and for today I can finally share the card I made for my son for his birthday on 24 February.

Daisy (my granddaughter) helped me make a quick lemon sponge birthday cake for her uncle (my son is not a fan of cake and this was a version he prefers of my standard Victoria sandwich cake). She so proudly carried it in..

and helped him blow out the candles..

We had such a fab day together, special family time.

So now to share his card!

I used the following stamps…

Pisces from the Zodiac collection..

and Elemental background stamp..

Plus the Time Tunnel stencil..

I made my background with acrylic inks plus some Lindy’s sprays which have a gorgeous sheen. It’s so hard to show in a photo taken in the evening when I was working.

As it was A4 size I cut it up

I added some background stamping using elemental

and some stencilling using white ink.

I stamped and embossed some of the fish and all the Pisces words onto black card and fussy cut them out.

I then put my card design together…

As I had some spare pieces of this background I also made a bookmark for him. I added 2 fish..

and cut up the letters of the Pisces word and mounted them on snippets of black card..

Here are both projects together…

A close up to show the cool elemental stamped background…

and a final collage…

My daughter is also a Pisces and her birthday is coming up next week, so I will be sharing a very different Pisces card for her next Monday…. she now lives at the seaside, so I knew the just the theme to use.

Enjoy your week, we have a very special little 4 year old visitor coming to stay today until Thursday… yes my darling Daisy Jane. No doubt the minute she gets here she will want to start some crafting 😁
Must dash, I have a sweet girlie to collect….

Back soon.

Bye for now,
Jane x

These are brilliant Jane.. what a great idea to make the bookmark with the left over card! Your background and colour choices are superb.. LOVE THEM! Thank you ♡

Mother’s Day

Good Evening! We are back with more gorgeous inspiration from Jane Tyrrell…

It’s another marvelous Monday and time for my weekly dose of Visible Image inspiration.

The next “event” in my card making is Mother’s day, which falls here in the UK on Sunday 11 March.  I needed to make some cards for selling at Dotty’s tea house and decided to use the top line of the brilliant “Mother” definition stamp in my designs.

(Next week I will be sharing another card where I have used the whole of this stamp…watch this space)

I also wanted to use some specific words from the Written in the Stars collection. I used words from the Aries, Cancer and Pisces set but you could easily chose any… I think it is lovely to be able to be so personal.

I stamped and embossed them in white on black card and then fussy cut them out.

The warmer weather made me also reach for my more summery stamps and 2 sets which I have not used for a while. The original butterfly was a very early Visible Image stamp I bought many years ago and is now part of this fab set.

I also used my Fibres stencil

I made my design in 2 colourways and it is interesting to see how different they look.

I used red and blue distress inks for this colour way with some stenciling using purple.

and for a “hot version” I used yellows and oranges. This was my background mid way..

I then added some red distress through the fibres stencil to really spice it up.

Here is my “sunny” version which I also added a few sequins to…

They look so different don’t they?

Here are a few close ups..

You can mix and match the extra words..

and a last shot of them side by side..

It will be interesting to see which colourway sells first in Dotty’s!

Next week I will share some more Mothers’ day card ideas using a different set of Visible Image stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for the kind comments you take the time to leave me. Despite my sunny cards it looks as though the weather is returning to winter this week… brrr it has been so cold and there may even some snow in the south of England. Keep snug wherever you are.

Back soon.

Bye for now,
Jane x

Cosmic Skies

Hi there! Apologies that we have neglected our blog for a few days.. we needed to spend every minute dispatching orders and continuing with the unpacking in our super new premises!

Our Design Team have lots of gorgeous new projects so we’ll be catching up with them over the next few days.

Jane Tyrrell has a fantastic new card to share…

Today is my weekly Design Team inspiration for Visible Image. This week I chose to use another of the fab older sentiments which works perfectly for my post today.

This stamp has such a unique typeface. I have often used the “eye” as a partner for this stamp but I decided I wanted to showcase this great sentiment all by itself.

I had the idea to stamp the sentiment on clear acetate “window” and then create a very textured starry sky.

This is my Distress Oxide starry sky..

To add some sparkly stars I used sparkle medium through the

Cosmic Skies stencil..

I used a clear based one as the inks soak into the medium and take up a wonderful glow…

I made my “window” and used little star brads in each corner to attach my sentiment.

Here is my finished card..

In real life it has a very textured sparkle, just like the sky at night twinkling..

Thanks so much for stopping by and for the lovely comments you take the time to leave me.

Back soon.

Bye for now,

Jane x

Somewhere In Time…

Good Evening! We are back with our 3rd dose of awesome inspiration this evening!

We’re really excited to share the very first Design Team project by Heather Mitchell…

I was super inspired when my Visible Image DT kit arrived (and just a little blown away at the awesomeness of the stamps).  I got very excited as, even though they’re sold in sets, they are so interchangeable and many of the images and sentiments can be used in different ways… which, as a crafter, is just fabulous!

The Somewhere in Time set really caught my eye.  I love the fractured pocket watch… it seemed to represent how I’m feeling at the moment.

Obviously, me being me, I had to start with an inky background and so I reached for some watercolour paper and my Distress Oxide’s

I loved the stormy look I created with the Oxide and spritzed with gold ink to add a little sparkle

I’ve added elements of ‘Fibres‘ and the gorgeous ‘Strobes‘ stencils before stamping the text from ‘Scripted Streets‘ and the cogs from ‘Somewhere in Time’

I placed the ‘Strobe’ stencil so it looks like light is shining onto the main image

Text stamps are a great way to add texture and break up areas of colour

Once the background was complete, I could start adding the main images.  Using Wow! Embossing powder, I stamped the background of the watch and added the detailed image over the top once cooled

The detail on Visible Image stamps is just incredible…
even the smallest detail stamps perfectly every time

To break up the text, I’ve used the rain stamp from the ‘Sparkle in the Rain‘ set before adding the sentiment.  The title ‘Time’ stamp is from the ‘Somewhere in Time’ set and the sentiment from ‘What Really Matters

I hope you like my first post for Visible Image, it’s been quite daunting… and for those of you that like to know what’s been used, here’s a list of the magic ingredients used in this project:

Visible Image Products:

Somewhere in Time

Scripted Streets

Sparkle in the Rain

What Really Matters

Fibres stencil

Strobes stencil

Distress Ink Pads:
Oxides: Iced Spruce, Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Oxides Tumbled Glass
Distress Ink: Tumbled Glass, Tea Dye
Distress Spray Stain: Tarnished Brass

Wow! Embossing Powders:
Primary Ebony Super Fine, Metallic Silver

Other Items:
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist ‘Basically Bare’

Love this card.. the colours are so stunning together and all the background stamping looks fantastic.
Thank you Heather ♡

Unrivalled Passion

Hi there! We have some fabulous inspiration from Teresa Morgan this evening…

I love how this combination of stamps and stencil worked out – sometimes it all just fits together perfectly.

I used the Strobes stencil to create a spotlight behind my ballerina, colouring with Distress Inks. A few splashes of water bleached out some spots for added texture. The sentiment and dancer are stamped in black Archival ink. I needed something to just ‘lift’ the design and the little white embossed stars did the job!

Take a deep breath.. and smile.

Hi there!

We are so sorry for neglecting our blog this past week, the only excuse we can offer is that it has been so incredibly busy with orders that there have not been enough hours in the day… which is the best excuse really isn’t it?!

So today we have lots of gorgeous inspiration to share with you, starting with an awesome tag from Veerle Moreels…

It’s no secret… I love the words Helen creates for Visible Image. Even when at first sight they are not for me, it doesn’t take me long to see beyond that and I discover how to make them my own.  I’m not a lipstick girl so I could easily have moved on but just look at what you get just leaving one sentence out…

And when you go even one step further and mask off one extra letter…

Who says it’s only girls that put on a smile even when they feel like crap…

Stamps used:

She Smiled

Glimmer of Light

Teenage Kicks

Love this Veerle! You always surprise us with your little twists on quotes… and the moth looks stunning! Thank you ♡

You’ll find more gorgeous projects over on Veerle’s blog.

Your Vivid Colours

Hello! We have another dose of fabulous inspiration here on the blog this evening!

Teresa Morgan has a brilliant card to share…

Today’s post shows a different way of using the Stars and Stripes stencil

I chose to just use the stripes, and masked off sections so I could apply a rainbow of Distress Inks through the stencil. I chose the little horses from the Stay Wild set, making them look as if they were leaving trails of colour behind them.

The wonderful sentiment is stamped in black Archival ink as are the horses.

What a fabulous combination of stamps.. love the trails of colour behind the horses! Thank you Teresa ♡

Christmas Can Be Tough Sometimes…

Good Evening, thanks for visiting our blog today.

When we lose a loved one, Christmas can be a very difficult time and it can be hard to know whether to send a traditional Christmas card, and ‘Merry Christmas’ just isn’t really appropriate. So Helen wrote a special sentiment for those ‘hard to write’ Christmas cards.

We have some beautiful inspiration for you from Jane Tyrrell today featuring this Christmas sentiment stamp…

Monday has spun round again and it’s time for my Visible Image DT inspiration.
Today I am focusing on the gorgeous new Christmas stamp release and designing with 2 sets;

The very poignant Christmas Memories stamp…

which I thought went perfectly with the silhouette angel image from the Angels set

As you may know, I am Mrs Christmas and adore everything about it. However I do understand that for some people this can be a very difficult time of the year. Particularly when they have recently lost someone they love. That first Christmas afterwards, I know from my own experience, is very tough. I sell my cards at Dotty’s Tearooms in our local high street and I thought this card would be a helpful extra to sell there this year.

My design also uses the Strobes stencil (these are all back in stock in the shop). I think it makes a great sun/star burst and used it in the background of my card…

So this is what I made…

I kept my colour very upbeat and simple.

I gold embossed the angel word and added some gold to the border.

I blended distress inks through the stencil. I wanted the angel to be more of a shadow and I achieved this by using a gold metallic ink. The sentiment is stamped and embossed.

Here she is in close up, in real life she has a shimmery gold effect…

Thanks so much for visiting today. It is only 84 days until the big day and I am getting myself into Christmas card making mode now that the evenings are getting darker.

Time to light those candles…

Back soon.

Bye for now,
 Jane x

This is such a stunning card, thank you Jane ♡

Definition of a Mother

Hello there! We have lots of gorgeous inspiration to share with you this week, having now recovered from a busy weekend at Ally Pally!

We enjoyed hanging out with our fabulous Design Team member Jane Tyrrell at the show…

Good morning. I hope you had a lovely weekend? I went to the Crafting at Ally Pally Show in London on Sunday.

The show is held in the Great Hall of the Palm Court, such a fantastic place, with the gorgeous stained glass round window letting the light stream in,

Ally Pally is high on a hill in North London and the views out across to the iconic London skyline are stunning.

The Visible Image stand is so bright and vibrant, it really does stand out in the hall.

I love the way that Helen and Mark decorate every inch of their stand.
I am so proud to be a part of their Design Team and I love seeing all our work displayed.

I enjoyed waving to some of my cards displayed there…I winked at my eye card ?

The display below had the new brilliant family definitions stamps at the top and you will spy my DT card I shared last week using “Father”.

The card I am sharing for my Visible Image DT post today uses “Mother,” on the top far left.

I made it for the recent Create and Craft TV shows last week using the “Mother” sentiment:

First I made an Oxide background…

Then on a plain piece of card I repeat stamped the large grungy heart from the Own Kind of Beautiful set:

I then cut around their tops and painted them with the same colours I used for the background.

Below the hearts I stamped the Mother definition stamp, accenting “Mother” in red. I also stamped out some small hearts which I added Glossy Accents to. I then stamped and embossed in red just the “beautiful” part of the ‘Own kind of Beautiful’ sentiment onto my oxide background.

Here is my finished card…

It really was a lovely day at the show, and if you ever get the chance to visit Ally Pally I would highly recommend it. The next crafting show will be next April.. it will certainly be going in my diary.

It is also such a great opportunity to catch up with 2 very special people…

Yes dear Helen and Mark aka Mr and Mrs Visible Image… such fun and such gorgeous souls. I just wish it was more than twice a year we got to meet!

Enjoy the week ahead.

Bye for now,

Play Guitar!

Hi! Hope you’re well.

We had such a great time at Create and Craft at the weekend! Lots of sell outs which was amazing! If you tuned in.. thank you!

Pauline Butcher is here on the blog today sharing one of the fantastic samples she made for the shows…

Hello,

My inspiration today is a card made using one of the awesome new stencils and a brand new definition stamp…

The new products I used were…

Play Guitar stencil

and Son Definition stamp

The background is blended Distress Inks: Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed,  flicked with water. I put the stencil over the top, and inked through it with Chipped Sapphire.

I stamped the Son definition onto a piece of white card using Versamark, and heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder, I inked the edges, and placed the stencil on it, and inked through one guitar person, using Candid Apple. I went around all the edges of the background, and the definition with Versamark, and heat embossed with a silver sparkle embossing powder.

Thanks for popping in.
Hugs,
Pauline xxxx

How cool is this background! And the sentiment looks awesome! Thank you Pauline ♡

Lost Chances

Hello! We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you.

As you probably know if you follow our blog, Veerle Moreels makes really beautiful tags, and today’s is no exception…

When you look back…are there things you would have done differently? I know I would, who doesn’t in the end. And of course we regret some of the things we have or haven’t done. So once in a while it’s good to remember…

Nothing you can do now to turn back the clock and change it, so no reason to keep thinking of it I suppose. Only learn from it to never put yourself in that position again and just take every chance you get no matter what.

Stamps Used:

Universal

Scripted Streets

Free as a Dragonfly

Hi there! We are back with more stunning inspiration this evening here on the blog.

Teresa Morgan is here with a brand new project…

Hello and welcome to another Thursday inspiration post from me for Visible Image.

I have used stamps from three sets to decorate my gatefold card today.

My background is Distress Inks, smooshed on a craft mat. I then splattered some water drops and blotted to create a faux bleach effect. Next, I stamped and embossed the sentiment, framing with the coffee ring stamp (embossed in white.) Finally I stamped and embossed the dragonflies, circling around.

The outer panels began the same way, but I then stamped and embossed the ink splats ramdomly over them.

Getting Sentimental

Hello there! Thank  you so much for visiting our blog today.

Elina Strömberg is here with some gorgeous inspiration for this month’s Facebook group challenge which is all about words…

Hi,

Today I’m sharing with you two cards I made using two lovely quote stamps by Visible Image:

I wanted the quote to be the main focus of the card, so I kept the other embellishments to minimum.

For the background I used soft pink liquid watercolor that I applied in several layers, drying each layer with my heat gun before applying the next layer of water and/or colour.

Once the background was ready I stamped the quote. The ‘Smile Sparkle Shine’ text I created some highlights with an embossing pen, added gold embossing powder, and heat set the powder with my heat gun.

Usually I decorate the watercoloured background with some pattern stamping, but this time I wanted to add more golden shimmer. I sprinkled a bit of the same embossing powder around the stamped quote, and heat set the powder by heating it from underneath. Blowing it from top would have blown the powder away as it was loose on the paper.

The only decoration element was a simple die-cut frame I covered with embroidery yarn. Wrapping the yarn around the paper frame took a while, but I just love the end result! Once the entire frame was covered I glued the frame on the card front.

These cards were really simple and fun to make. Hope they inspire you, too!

For more information on the lovely Visible Image stamps I used, please click on the pictures below:

Wishing you a nice week. Thanks for stopping by!

Love You Longer

Hi there! We are back with more stunning inspiration as promised.

Jane Tyrrell’s latest card features a gorgeous sentiment that means a lot to us…

After some really dreary days last week the sun finally returned yesterday afternoon and it felt beautifully warm in my sunny back garden.

My spring pots are still so pretty and now the tulips have finished I have one final set of bulbs that are flowering together with my pansies.

and someone else was basking in the sunshine too………….?

Yes cheeky Billy who should not really be sitting on the cover of our outdoors table…. but how can you say no to a face like his ?

I have been spending many creative hours in my garden studio, there is so much inspiration when you are surrounded by Mother Nature and the only sounds are the birds singing their hearts out.
I have chosen the words from the Love You Longer stamp for my challenge inspiration…

and made myself a Distress Oxide background

I then stamped and embossed the butterflies from the Own Kind of Beautiful set

I used some inky mop up card from my stash and stamped and fussy cut out the butterflies silhouette from the same set.

These are my absolute favourite butterfly stamps in the crafting world

They always turn out beautifully. I cut off the antennae in the end and used those from the silhouettes below. I added silicon glue for some 3 D dimension and create some butterfly flutter ?

It was then time to put on my creative hat and put my card together. Here it is…

I love the way the font of the quote looks like old mistyping from a manual typewriter.. it really adds to the vintage feel.

I took it down to my shelves at Dotty’s Tearooms and it fluttered out the very next day!

Here is a close up…

and a close up of the butterflies

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for the kind comments you take the time to leave.

Enjoy the week ahead and let’s hope that the sunshine remains.

Bye for now

Broken Wings

Hello! Thank you for coming to check out the latest inspiration here on our blog.

Veerle has created some beautiful inspiration for this month’s themed challenge over in our Facebook group…

This month’s theme is:

So I had to pick out one of the sentiments/words… that’s a tough choice as I love the words so much.
But I went for the one that definitely has a very special meaning for me…

Learn To Fly Again

I love every stamp in the set but it’s the words that are just… well this one still stands on my dresser as a little reminder…

Curious what I made this time? I’ve made a new video so you can see how it was made.

Incredibly beautiful project Veerle thank you  ♡

Life Can Be Tough

Hello! Thanks for stopping by our blog.

Veerle Moreels has a really special project to share here today…

On Saturday Visible Image had a new show on the Create and Craft TV channel, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. It’s always a pleasure seeing Mark doing his demo’s. And of course, being a member of their Design Team, I also had made samples to show just how versatile all the sets are. Yet they work so well together. Today I’m sharing the candle I made for the show…

It was my very first candle I made so I have to be honest, it took me two takes to melt my paper into my candle. But just imagine what beautiful gifts you can make using your Visible Image stamps…

I’m pretty sure you have seen loads of inspiration on the show made by Helen and Mark, my teamies and myself.

Take Your Broken Wings

Hello there! Helen here with my latest card!

Hope you had a good weekend.

I have been busy creating some backgrounds ready for some of our NEW stamps! Had lots of fun with brushos, Lindy’s sprays and Dylusions paints!

I decided to use some existing stamps on one of them though, as it was calling out to me for our awesome moth stamp…
I used turquoise, yellow and red brushos for this one, and once dry I added some more water
and a touch more paint along the top, allowing it to run down my card

IMG_2264

I stamped and embossed the large moth, and then stamped two
of the small silhouette moths in black versafine

IMG_2275

I also stamped and embossed my chosen quote to make sure it stood out against the background

IMG_2280

I added a glow around parts of the moth using diluted white paint, to make it stand out more
and splattered some of the paint over my card

IMG_2300

Using some of the excess card from my background, I stamped and
embossed another large moth

IMG_2299 (1)

I coloured in the skull using a white pen then layered it on top of my original moth
using some foam pads for some extra dimension

IMG_2311

Lastly I flicked some black Lindy’s spray here and there, then matted onto black card
before adhering to my white card blank

Visible Image Debut – Veerle Moreels

Hello! We are back with more gorgeous inspiration for you, and the very first post by NEW Design Team member Veerle Moreels…

My very first project to share with you is a tag and the moment I saw this new text stamp
I knew what I wanted to make…

That needed a butterfly don’t you think so too? I colored him in using my Gansai Tambi
watercolor paints and used the same color together with some black to make my background.

And to bring some of the metallic back at the bottom of the tag,
I attached my text using a fine metallic wire…

And the finished tag…

Wings of Sympathy – Visible Image stamps

Hello and thank you for coming to visit us here on the Visible Image blog today!

We have some stunning inspiration for you today and more NEW stamps previews too 🙂

First up is Pauline Butcher with a really beautiful card…

Hi there,

It’s time for me to share another creation I’ve made, using Visible Image Stamps.

Unfortunately, I had to make a sympathy card for a friend, never a nice thing to do, but these lovely stamps came to my rescue, and I kept it nice, simple and quick, almost ‘clean and simple’.

Visible Image stamps - Inky Butterfly - With Sympathy - Pauline Butcher

The stamps I used are…

I stamped the Inkognito Butterfly using Black Versafine onto white card, then blended Picked Raspberry Distress ink lightly around the edges. I mixed some of the same coloured ink with water, and flicked it over the card.

I stamped the Large Butterfly onto another piece of card, using Versamark, and heat embossed using Black detail powder, fussy cut it, then coloured it using Distress Inks and a water brush.

I stamped the sentiment using Black Versafine ink.

I put a paper middle inside the card too, using the beautiful verse that comes in the the sentiment set.

Get your entries into the January Show & Tell, for a chance of winning some vouchers for some fantastic Visible Image stamps, and don’t forget to become a member of their Facebook group, where the new February stamp designs are being shown daily.

Some of these new designs will be showcased on Create & Craft TV, on February 14th at 10am.. Mark and myself will be showing you some more demo’s.

Thank you for popping by,
Hugs, Pauline xxxx

Such a beautiful card Pauline, for such a sad occasion ♡

Visible Image Debut – Carol Fox

Hello! Thanks for coming to visit our blog today.

We’re excited to share the very first project by new Design Team member Carol Fox today!

Woo Hoo it’s my Debut post for Visible Image today. I wanted to used their iconic stamp of the Eye for my post, this seems to be their trademark stamp and I hope I have done it justice on the following card.

Visible Image stamps - inky eye stamp - Dream - Carol Fox

I used the Following Stamps:

My card is done journal style with a clean and simple feel to it.

I stamped my image and quote directly onto my card blank using black archival ink, I then masked off the eye area leaving the surrounding splatter unmasked.

I then used a dot Stencil with a random dot pattern and applied 3 shades of DecoArt Mulit surface paint using a piece of cut and dry to mix the colours as I went to give various shades from the 3 colours.

I then picked out 3 similar colours from my Caran d’Ache pencils to colour the center of the eye again layering the colours to achieve different shades.

I finished with my must doodle border of the moment.

This is a larger size card to which I usually make but I felt the eye needed plenty of white space to dominate.

I want to say again thank you to Mark and Helen for letting me join the team at Visible Image.

Happy Crafting
Carol xx

Fantastic card thank you Carol… loving your doodle border! Our awesome eye looks fabulous with those colours ♡

We will be back a little later with a preview of another awesome NEW stamp set from our February release!

Have a good Monday.

Best Days @ Visible Image

Hi There! Thank you for visiting us here today!

We have an amazing tutorial from Kim Robertson to share with you with some fantastic techniques. Hope you’ll have a go!

Here’s our mega talented Kim…

Hi Folks

As promised here is the step by step for my recent pink card that was done in aid of The Big Pink week for Breast Cancer awareness.

To remind you of my Pink card here it is…

2015-10-16 Visible Image stamps - Big Pink Blog Hop - Best Days - Kim Robertson

And here is the full step by step…

To start I took a rectangle piece of white card and used some picked raspberry and spun sugar distress inks to blend it all out to this fade in the above picture. I then used raisin adirondack ink and the script stamp from The Revolution set and stamped off the page in a random pattern, but leaving the top right and bottom left corner fairly clear.

Next I tore the paper toward me on those two corners that I left blank to expose the inside core. I used some of that raisin ink to rub those edges and also some Walnut stain Distress ink to darken them a little further. Set aside to dry.

I took a larger piece of white Card and glued the pink hessian I had in my stash to it to the left hand side.

I added foam to my first piece and added it to the second with some wet glue to stick on the Hessian really well.

Then I gave it a black mat to sit on which instantly makes the darker ink stand out.

I used some dripped glue with some Frantage embossing powders and glitter to add some interest to the the top right of the card as I knew I was going to attach something above this.

I stamped this lovely sentiment out and tore the edges inking the same way as the last piece with raisin and a little Walnut stain. Raising it up on to foam and adding it on a jaunty angle to the card front.

Next I took a plain white resin piece, which was a side on butterfly or moth one or the other and added some pink to it with a Promarker and the added glued and cover in glitters. This I glued above the embossing we did and to the to right of the sentiment.

Here is a close up

All that was left from here was to add a little breast cancer symbol in ribbon topped with a pearl and I tied a bow using some of the hessian taken from the edges of another piece and added a sparkler to the knot and Voila… complete.

2015-10-16 Visible Image stamps - Big Pink Blog Hop - Best Days - Kim Robertson

Here is the finished item again

The stamps I used were…

I hope you enjoyed this one and you can see what you can do with just a couple of fabulous stamps, and some hessian and glitter too.

Thanks for stopping by as always.

Lots of love

Welcome back to my weekly dose of Visible Image stamps inspiration. This week the DT are promoting Breast Cancer Care and all our projects have gone pink. I must admit that I am not a very pink person, but this is such a worthy cause, I couldn’t refuse!

2015-10-15 Visible Image stamps - There Is Always Hope - Crow Tree - Teresa Morgan

My card is a subtle shade – I used Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, sponged over a cloud shape mask I cut from some cardstock. The Crow Tree stamp is stamped with Versamark and embossed with WOW powders white superfine embossing powder. The sentiment is from the Fae Hope set.

You can help Visible Image raise money for Breast Cancer care by making a donation on their JustGiving page or by purchasing the Stay Strong stamp this month…

Sparkle in Pink – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening! Thank you for visiting our blog 🙂

We are back to our PINK theme this evening and we have a sparkly pink number from Kim Robertson to share with you!

Over to Kim…

Hi my fellow Crafters

This week sees the start of The Big Pink week all around the country in aid of the amazing Breast Cancer awareness campaigns all over the world. The Visible Image team have been no exception and have been creating some gorgeous pink cards and projects all week, with more to come! Culminating in a fabulous blog hop on Friday with a masssssssive prize (sneaky picture at the end of this post) to win from Mark and Helen at Visible Image and what a fun hop it will be too…. all will be revealed on Friday!

Today here is my Vision of pink sparkliness …

2015-10-14 Visible Image stamps - Smile Sparkle Shine - Kim Robertson

You know how much I love the Colours of the Wind set, and that beautiful big leaf, so I decided to use a couple of different distress inks in of course ‘pink’ tones, and do a background covered in sparkle with the Smile Sparkle Shine sentiment stamped onto the glitter, and brushed out using a damp paint brush.

Here are some photos from along the way creating this one.

I didn’t do a step by step for this stage as I have done something similar very recently with this stamp set, and how I ink and stamp tone on tone.  I have also stamped out the little leaves in Versamark and embossed them in clear to start, so they work as a resist in the usual way. The larger leaf was of course stamped off the page and I used Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar distress inks along with a tiny amount of Vintage Photo. I have also used some Raisin Adirondack ink too to add depth in the leaf detailing and, as I knew I wanted to cover this in glitter, some of the leaves would need to be quite dark to show through.

I covered the pink in a sticky sheet and made sure it was very smooth before tipping on some very sparkly clear glitter, I added a few mat and layers in white and plum card, I then went back in with the white glue and added another layer on certain parts of the leaves, so I could added some glass glitter for texture on the card too.

In this photo the white glue is still drying and eventually the whole thing turned clear with incredible sparkle, but of course it never shows on camera. Those of you who met me this year at Ally Pally and did the Make and Take, or have seen my items on the amazing Visible Image stand at the shows, will know just how sparkly they are in person.

Here is a close up of the glue drying with the second layer of glitter, you can just keep building the layers if you want a really rustic texture.

So next I inked up my Smile Sparkle Shine stamp with the same Raisin Adirondack which is still a water based ink, so I knew if it skipped in places I could water brush it out.

Luckily the image came out, even though on glitter, perfectly with these amazing quality stamps although of course the higher parts on the glitter looked like it had little dots, so I used my water brush and just smoothed out the colour then left it to dry.

Once it was dry I took a Red Promarker in a nice rich deep tone and added just a few shadows to some of the letters, to make them look bright and vivid in colour, and the alcohol covers the glitter but allows it to sparkle too which looks so pretty.

Here is what it looks like after that last stage.

On the bottom right corner I decided to add the little breast cancer symbol in ribbon, and on top I added a little pink leaf and a sparkly pink gem. I also added those gems to the corners of the card too.

The stamps used for this one…

Memories Of Your Loved One – Visible Image Stamps

Good Morning and thank you for stopping by to read today’s post.

I know that we are turning everything PINK for Breast Cancer Care‘s awareness month this week, but we just had to share a beautiful card made by Design Team member Lisa Nygards. I think most of us have sadly lost someone we love, and having lost my Dad to the evil disease that is cancer, I wrote this verse with those ‘difficult’ Christmas cards we sometimes need to make in mind. Lisa has interpreted the words perfectly with her gorgeous design.

So for today, here’s something blue from Lisa….

Have you started doing your Christmas Cards yet?

I think I have a bunch of them already and that is totally unlike me. I love to do a bunch of one or two easy designs just to fill up the number of needed cards. This will be one of them I think. Totally LOVE this snowflake! It looks fantastic and very real. The snowflake is in a set named White Christmas and it’s new for this year at Visible Image. The beautiful verse that I’ve embossed on this card is called Christmas Memories. Sweet and very useful for quick cards, as it is like an image with that lovely font.

Visible Image Stamps – Latest Inspiration

Hello and welcome to our rather neglected blog… well just lately anyway!!!

It has been a busy old time here at Visible Image basecamp for a number of reasons…. Loads of orders (thank you!)…exhibiting at quite a few craft shows… a road trip and some very exciting meetings… AND and lots of designing too!!!

Right.. on with today’s post! We have so much gorgeous new inspiration to show you from our fabulous Design Team, so make yourself a cuppa and read on…

Sue Joseph

My card this week is ALL about the sentiment

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Best Days Of Your Life - Sue Joseph

I LOVE this verse, it’s called The Best Days. I used wow black ebony to heat emboss it and with a verse like this you dont need a busy card, hence just my paint splats, the words say it all!

I created the background with my new toy the Art spinner and used shimmer paints and neon paint. Layered and matted onto some green mirror board and kraft card and finished with some flat back green gems and hessian. ribbon.

Pauline Butcher

No your eyes are not out of focus, lol, I wanted to try something a little different with this card, and I used a couple of super duper Visible Image Stamps.

2015-10-10-Visible-Image-stamps-You Are Loved - Pauline Butcher

My inspiration came from a retro 3D poster I saw recently, although I haven’t tried to view it through a pair of 3D glasses, lol, but you get the idea !!!!

The Visible Image stamps I’ve used are You are Loved and Grunge Polka Dot.

I stamped the background with the Grunge Polka Dots, 4 times, using 4 different Distress ink colours, I also did the same on another piece of card and stamped the sentiment in Versamark, heat embossed it using clear embossing powder, fussy cut it, mounted it onto black card and fussy cut it again, to give a thin black outline.
And hey look, no bling or glitter used, that was incredibly hard, lol !!!!

Teresa Morgan

This week I am sharing a bright and beautiful card..

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Music Wave stamp - Ink Splats - Teresa Morgan

I have stamped the Ink Splats with various colours of Distress Ink to create my inky rainbow. I then took the music wave stamp from the Soul Music set, and stamped with black Archival Ink, then flipped the stamp upside down to continue the flourish across the page. I love how the music notes are not all ‘the right way up’, so you can use this stamp in any direction without it looking odd!

Lisa Nygards

The wonderful sentiment I’ve used today has gone PINK this month! Not the actual stamp, but the package. It’s called STAY STRONG and during october 50% of the sales for this stamp will be donated to Breast Cancer Care! Buy yours now!

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Stay Strong sentiment stamp - Lisa Nygards

I’ve played around with pink inkpads that react with water, and some mists to do my background. The horse is from the Revolution set, and the darker spots around the edge are stamped with part of the other horse from the same set. When it was dry I stamped the sentiment on top of it all.

Doreen OBrien

I am back with some more inspiration using the gorgeous Visible Image stamps

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Colours of The Wind - Autumn Leaf stamp - Doreen OBrien

I have used Gelato’s for my background and over stamped with the Bronte Script. The leaf stamp and sentiment from the Colours of the Wind set have been inked up with Red Geranium and Potting Soil Archival inks.

Kim Bacon

I have been having a look through some of my old stuff and saw this little gem which didn’t get published last year. It is still such a cool technique and it is nice to revisit some of my older projects. It means that new visitors to me and Visible Image don’t miss out on something!

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Create With Your Soul - Flowers- Kim Bacon

So, I started with a nice crisp piece of white card. Using those pots of inky paint from Pinflair called Gentle Blends, I applied colour to the daisy silhouette from the Happy Birthday set from the ‘More Than Words’ range. I used a sponge to apply the colour directly to the stamps. I stamped the first time onto my base card and then did a second stamping onto a separate piece of white card. This gave me a vibrant first impression and a dull, light second impression.

I then used the seeded flower head silhouette from the Thinking of You set, again from the ‘More Than Words’ range, to overstamp the coloured daisies in black ink.

On the piece of card that I had done the second impression stamping, I used black ink to stamp the Create With Your Soul sentiment. All pieces were layered onto black card and the sentiment was added to the main card using foam pads to raise it up.

Susanne Rose

I’d like to share a card today on which I used the awesome Smile Sparkle Shine stamp.

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Smile Sparkle Shine - Susanne Rose

The background of the card is created with Twinklings H2O. The Visible Image sentiment is stamped with Memento Luxe and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Pauline Butcher

I’m back with a little bit of inspiration for you, a card using some of those fantastic Visible Image Stamps that I love using so much! On this card, the stamps I used are Winter Tree and the sentiment is Me Time

2015-10-10 Visible-Image-stamps- Me Time sentiment - Forest Background - Pauline-Butcher

A very simple card to make, I used some Brusho paints on the background, mixing them with water and just washing them over the card. I then used some Spectrum Noir Aqua Tint inks, and using the dropper provided in the kit, just dripped them down the card. This gives the impression of trees, so I stamped Winter Tree with Distress Inks onto the inky background. I finished off with the sentiment stamped in Versamark, and heat embossed with Black powder, I filled in the letters with some Stickles for that little bit of sparkle.

Kim Johnny

I am so happy it is October! I love the cooler weather, here for me it should be soon anyways! And of course, I love Halloween!

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Paint The Town DEAD - Zombie - Kim Johnny

Today for my Visible Image DT play I made a tag using the wicked Zombie Dawn set!

She is a bit more ghosty I think… On top of the acrylic paint and ink background, everything is heat embossed. I really love how embossing makes everything shiny and adds more POP!  The pumpkins are made with texture paste using a Dreamweaver metal stencil with orange embossing powder on top.

Zombie Dawn, the hands and sentiment are all fine stamps by Visible Image! I hope you have fun getting ready for Halloween later this month and I would really love to see what you make!

Karen Liddle

Time for some more inspiration using stamps from the fab Visible Image..

2015-10-10 Visible Image stamps - Poinsettia stamp - Karen Liddle

First I stamped the Poinsettias from the Pointsettia Stamp Set, then used Brushos to add the colours.  Starting with the flowers, I took a paintbrush and painted the flowers, with water, then sprinkled just a tiny amount of the red Brusho and spread it around a little to fill in all the petals, I did this for each flower.  Then I painted water onto the background, and again sprinkled the Brushos, letting the colour spread as normal, but using the paintbrush to help the colour spread.  I finished off with gold gems in the flower centres and the Merry Christmas sentiment.

Huge thank you to our wonderful team, gorgeous gorgeous work xxx

So this one features the versatile swirl from the UNIVERSAL set.

I painted the background and then used bleach with the swirl stamp.

Once dry I then used clear embossing powder to add some shine.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of the same painted card before the addition of the clear embossed swirls.

My image “Butterfly INKognito” has been stamped using distress inks onto some white card. I then stamped the ”Bronte Script to add some dimension.

The sentiment, from the ”Sunshine Set, was next to be stamped before splattering some distress ink all over the card and inking the edge.

Chalkboard Love – Visible Image stamps

Hello there 🙂 Thanks for coming to visit our blog today!

Double inspiration for you today with the latest projects from Susanne Rose and Doreen OBrien.

First up today, here’s Susanne…

Hi everyone!

It’s my day today to share some inspiration with the super unique Visible Image Stamps. I used the awesome “You Are Loved” sentiment to create a chalkboard card.

I used the DCWV DIY Project Stack Chalk Party. The black paper is perfect for stamping with white pigment ink. This is a really quick card. The base layer is embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. I sanded the paper so you can see the white core on the embossed parts. I adhered every layer with 3d foam pads to get some dimension.

A Tag For Every Season – Visible Image Stamps

Good Evening and HELLO weekend! 🙂 We hope you have something exciting planned,
or maybe you are just going to chill out!

We have some fabulous inspiration for you this evening here on the blog from Pauline Butcher…..

Hi there again,

I’m back to share 4 Seasonal tags I’ve created, using some fabulous Visible Image Stamps.

Visible Image stamps - Winter Tree stamp - 4 seasons tags - sentiment stamps - Pauline Butcher

On all the tags I used 2 stamps……. ‘Winter Tree’ and ‘Tall Grass’, and just changed the sentiment.

The sentiment on the Winter tag is from the ……. ‘Sparkle at Christmas’ set.
On the Spring tag it’s…….’Memories’ from the ‘Make me Smile’ set.
On the Summer tag it’s……. ‘Dream’ from the ‘Imagine, Dream, Inspire’ set.
The last one is the Autumn tag and the sentiment is……. ‘Colours of the Wind’.

I blended Distress Inks for the background of each tag, and stamped the Tree and the sentiments in Black Versafine ink, the grass was stamped in Distress inks. I added blossom using acrylic paints, the winter tag is achieved using a ‘dries white glue’ and glitter for the snow, and I used stickles on all the tags for the finishing touch.

More Awesome Inspiration @ Visible Image

Hi There! We are back as promised with more awesome inspiration for you from our wonderful team..

Susanne Rose has created some fabulous postcards…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - mixed media postcards - Susanne Rose 2

It’s my day today to share some inspiration with the super unique Visible Image Stamps. I made two mixed media postcards using Neoccolor II pencils and gesso for the background. I used the script stamp from the Revolution set to add some texture. The doodling is made with acrylic markers as well as uniPOSCA markers. It’s always good to have some postcards ready to go! I am a big fan of the Visible Image expression stamps. They are perfect for cards and also for art journalling and they are so true!

Stamps used:

Revolution
Take The Moment
Never Give Up

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - mixed media postcards - Susanne Rose

Doreen OBrien has created a wonderful Christmas card with lots of different elements…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Snowflakes & Butterflies verse - Doreen OBrien

I am back with some more inspiration using the gorgeous Visible Image stamps. I am sharing another  Christmas card using the fabulous “Snowflakes and Butterflies” verse

I have simply stamped this onto some cream card, inked around the edge and attached it to some Frayed Burlap, this was then attached to some red card and my base card. I finished off with a Diecut Fir Tree.

And here’s a fabulous Christmas card from Karen Liddle…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - White Christmas - Snowflakes - Karen Liddle

I used Distress Inks for the background, blended with sponges.  Colours used are Dusty Concord, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry.  I also splashed drops of water over the ink and dabbed off, this removes the colour and creates white spots, love doing this.

Stamps used:
Bronte Script and White Christmas

Now for a very funky tag from Kim Johnny…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Imagine - Tag - Kim Johnny 2

Visible Image very recently released some wonderful Holiday stamps and I am feeling lucky to have received some to play with 🙂 I am not quite ready for the Holiday Season, so I have an alternate use for the beautiful
Sparkle at Christmas set.

I used the bigger sparkle from the Sparkle at Christmas set to frame the “Imagine” focal point badge. Imagine is from the Imagine Dream & Inspire set. Love the sparkle set it is so flexible and can be used so many ways! The stamping and embossing are wonderful as well, makes playtime a breeze! The top of the tag is capped with the Retro Dots Background stamp.

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Imagine - Tag - Kim Johnny

I included and extra photo here to show more of the embossing, I am sooooo hooked on embossing. It adds such a fun and perfect touch. This is also the first time I have used some Lindy’s Stamp Gang embossing powder in Razzleberry Plum. Change the angle and the color of the EP changes too. Awesomeness! Now I need more, many more, colors of Lindy’s 🙂 I had to add some juicy fun dots from the Plasma set in Razzleberry Plum around the edges.

Kim Bacon was also feeling funky this week! With awesome results…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Rockin Around - Christmas Tree - Kim Bacon

Today I have decided to do something a little ‘shocking’ in that I have used some funky colours with jet black shiny embossing powder. Not the usual Christmas colours I know but that is where my crafting session took me!

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Rockin Around - Christmas Tree - Kim Bacon 1

I went with the usual thing, make a lot of background papers using Brusho paints and stamped directly onto them with black embossing powder.

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Rockin Around - Christmas Tree - Kim Bacon 2

Matting and layering with red card and adding a few brads finish the projects off.
Stamps used:
Rockin’ Around
Grunge Polka Dot

Lisa Nygards has a brilliant masculine card for us this week…

2015-08-28 Visible Image stamps - Jazz It Up - Lisa Nygards 2

No Christmas cards from me today. I’ve tried to do a more masculine card, even though I’ve used flowers and dolies. *smile* I have used the character from Jazz it Up and the sentense from Thank You set

I stamped the images on a page from an old German book (have no idea what it says), and mounted that on cardstock panels since it’s a bit flimsy as is.

If you love sparkle then you will love Kim Robertson’s card…
