a touch – a feeling – a heartbeat

Good Evening! We are back with more NEW stamps inspiration today! Pauline Butcher has got her hands on our amazing new hands stamps. This stamp set has such a powerful message, and Pauline has portrayed it brilliantly in her amazing card…

Hello,

It’s time for me to share a card I’ve made using some awesome Visible Image products.

This week, I’ve used another of the brand new stamp sets, along with a new ‘must have’ stencil.

hand stamps - a touch - a feeling - a heartbeat

My background was achieved using Ink Sprays on Shaving foam. I made a circular design, before taking my print. When it was dry, I stamped the hands from the You are not Alone’ stamp set, using a Versafine Black Ink pad. I decided that they didn’t show up enough, so I stamped them again onto a piece of white card, coloured them using Clean Color watercolour brush pens, and fussy cut them.

a touch - a feeling - a heartbeat

Before adding the cut out hands to my background, I stamped the fabulous circles, making sure the smaller one contained the ends of the fingers. I took the sentiments one by one, and gently bent them on my stamping block, to coincide with the circle marks (made by the shaving foam), and stamped them in black, highlighting them with a white pen.

I felt the two opposite corners needed something, so I used dotty side of the very useful new stencil called Two Tone, and blended through it with pink and yellow Distress Inks. The final touch was to add the hands with Pinflair 3D glue gel, and added some glitter to the circles in the middle.

Hi! We are so excited to show you some of the gorgeous inspiration our amazing team have been creating with our NEW stamps and stencils! Pauline Butcher has teamed up our fabulous Daydreaming girl stamp with our awesome new background stamps and grate-ful stencil…

Hello,

The new products I’ve use on this card are…

Set the Tone Stamp Set

I also used the new Grate-ful stencil

grate effect stencil

Firstly I brayered Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean Distress Inks on coated card stock, spritzed it with spray starch, enclosed it in clingfilm and left it to dry. Once dry, I used the Grate-ful stencil, and blended through it with Salty Ocean Distress ink, and edged it with Picked Raspberry.

Next I stamped the daydreaming girl stamp, onto this background, using Grey Versafine Ink, then using the smallest stamp from the ‘Set the Tone’ set, and Black Versafine ink, I stamped around the Daydreaming girl stamp, overlapping the edges.

On a separate piece of white card, I stamped another daydreaming girl, and my chosen sentiments, but this time using Black ink, I then coloured her using watercolour pens, and fussy cut.

I attached them all to the background card, using 3D glue gel, to give dimension.

Don’t you just love her? Well I do anyway !!!

Thanks for your visit.

Hugs,
Pauline xxxx

So first of all…. drum roll..  I would like you to meet…

Mr Hummingbird from the wonderful new Life is Beautiful set.

This gorgeous inky hummingbird stamp is certain to take the stamping world by storm.

For my first make I wanted a very striking inky background. I took out my alcohol inks, from yellows through to amethyst and added them to Yupo paper using a felt and blending tool.

I wanted a real glow behind him so I kept the centre fairly plain and used yellow and orange hues.

This is a quick snap taken in my studio showing the gradual build up of ink on the Yupo paper.

I kept my design fairly simple as I wanted the background to show off Mr Hummer.

Here he is;

and some close ups..

The words are as they say, just “beautiful”. I distressed the edges and added some ink to make them pop.

The little circle accent stamp works so well with the image. I can see me using this a lot on other makes too.

Here is one last full shot.

I have been asked about ink not drying on Yupo paper on the Visible Image friends Facebook page.  Yes it is a real challenge to get any ink to dry.. I have tried everything and the one which is most likely to dry is Ranger Archival if you heat set it. However I don’t like to take the risk and for this card I used Versafine Black Onyx ink which I then embossed with black embossing powder. This gives a gorgeous sheen too. HOWEVER beware when heating the Yupo as it is not that heat stable. You need to heat quickly and move your heat gun around and even off the paper so as not to risk melting your background. I hope that helps?

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all your very kind comments.

Bye for now,

Jane x
