Mother Definition Stamp | Dragonfly Card

Hello and Happy Friday to you! Gosh where has this week gone? We have lots of gorgeous new inspiration to bring you! Stempelfrida has got her hands on our gorgeous new summer release stamps and created a beautiful card featuring our new grungy Dragonfly stamp with our Mother definition stamp…

Uh, oh, ah, have you seen the new release of Visible Image yet? It is mega! Three huge motif stamp sets in A5 (which of course also contain texts) and six family definitions (mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister). All of them open up soooo many possibilities. There is once again so much to discover. And so, for example, the thread stamp caught my eye, which I used here in two ways. Once white embossed and colored behind the dragonfly and then stamped again as a background to find the pattern again and please the eye in a light blue tone.

For my background, I wanted to recreate a crescent on the left side. For this I die-cuted a rounded edge from adhesive labels and then glued that over my watercolor paper. The labels stick so well that the watercolor does not run under it, but are super easy to peel off again. The label is not yet glued to the paper on the picture, but just layered over it.

Over this edge I stamped the thread stamp several times with Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder. Recently we had the question who knows a great fine white embossing powder. I was always totally thrilled with mine, but it is no longer available for purchase. Therefore, I have now tried the super fine of WOW! I am very pleased with the result. The individual fields I have then colored with watercolors and after drying I peeled the adhesive label off.

The dragonfly I also stamped with Versamark and embossed it in a platinum tone. Then I also colored it with watercolors and fussy-cut it

The text is stamped with Ink on 3, the additional threads in the background with Distress Oxides.

Mother’s Day Loveliness

Hello there! Becca Cruger is up on the blog next with a really pretty card with a touch of inkyness…

Hello Bloggy Friends!

Mother’s Day is coming on the horizon and I’m thinking about how to make my mom cry. She had a good deal of that go on in my youth – but these days I try to make her cry for much different reason . Hehe!

So when I got my hands on the Visible Image Mother Definition stamp, I just fell in love because I knew for sure I could make my momma cry.

When I was thinking about the card, the bone china with the bright blue patterns sprang right to mind and I wanted to re-create that feel.

I took the Fibonacci background stamp and inked it up with some bright blue Distress Inks on my Misti. I spritzed it with water from a small bottle, and then stamped.

As you can see, it created this perfectly imperfect background, which I mounted on dark blue cardstock to base it, and then sponged around the outside edges with some brown Distress Oxides.

It’s been awhile since I used paper flowers to create a cohesive design, but in this case, I knew it was just the thing.

After I embossed the sentiment, I added different layers of flowers and gold leaves, sprinkling everything with a layer of Distress Spray Stains.

Fibonacci Background stamp

In the end, I completely adored the card and know it will make some woman very special and happy.

With Warmth,

What a gorgeous card! Love the flowers against the background.. the fibonacci stamp looks awesome in that spritzed purple ink. Thanks Becca ♡
