Skull Shadow Moon | Visible Image

Hello and Happy Monday to you! We have a real mix of inspiration coming your way today.. Halloween… Christmas… and NEW stamps! First up is Lisa Taggart with some incredible Halloween art work featuring our skull stencil…

Hello my friends it’s Visible Image day and today we are getting spooky! I’ve had a lot of fun creating this Halloween scene.

skull stencil - halloween card - leave your fears behind

Here are the visible image products used:

skull stencil

trees stamp - forest - stay grounded

crow stamp - branch - leave your fears behind

The Steps:

Firstly an ink spray background dried and cut down to size.

I created a moon using white gesso.

Using the stencil I carefully sponged the image using distress oxide ink I then enhanced the stencilled image using inktense coloured pencils, a charcoal pencil and some more distress oxide ink.

I masked the moon and created some splatters using watered down white gesso.

I then began the stamping. I also gessoed the right side of the moon again as I wanted the eye sockets and nose to be the main dark areas. The hill was made through a torn copy paper mask and black ink.

I used all of the tree shapes for background interest. I highlighted parts with my white pen. For the foreground I used parts of the tree stamps ( small branches) from both stamp sets and pale distress oxide ink. I roughly drew in the grave stones using soft pastel and a black pen.

Finally I stamped the sentiment and later highlighted it in white.

Beautifully Wicked | Halloween Card

Hello! We have lots more gorgeous inspiration here on the Visible Image blog today! First up today is the very fabulous Nadine Carlier, with a brilliant Halloween card featuring our Wicked Witch stamp…

Halloween is getting closer! So time to get those Halloween cards done like this beautifully wicked Halloween card that I made.

Halloween card - wicked witch stamp

Even though this Oz Wicked Witch Stamp Set by Visible Image goes with their Wizard Of Oz stamp collection, I thought it was perfect for a Halloween card too. I stamped everything out with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copic markers.

Then I used the coordinating Oz Wicked Witch dies and my Gemini Jr. to cut out the images. Layered the images up on top of some patterned papers that I matted with black cardstock and also added a layer of some cheesecloth between them. Popped some of the images and layers up with some foam squares.

Nadine what a fantastic Halloween card! We love the layers and the texture from the cheesecloth! Our wicked witch stamp has been coloured beautifully too!
Thank you ♡
