Hi there! We hope you had a lovely weekend. We have Ali Carubia here on the blog today with a tutorial showing how she created an amazing card with our Forest Stencil, DREAM sentiment and our beautiful intuition quote…
I thought I would show you how I created my Forest Dreams card using the beautiful Forest Stencil from Visible Image. It took a little while to make but I think it was well worth it 😎.

You will find a list of supplies used at the end of this post.
And here we go…
First cut a piece of white card 6″ x 6″. Use the blending tool to apply Ocean Blue and Midnight inks over the card so that you have lighter and darker patches. Then add a little Plum Pudding over parts of the card and all around the edges. You could use any dye based ink instead eg Distress inks to get the same effect.
Use your paint brush to flick some water droplets over the card, wait a few seconds and dab off with kitchen paper. Take a round pot about 2″ diameter and place it in the top right hand corner. Wet your round paint brush and draw around the pot. Remove the pot and dab off the water with kitchen towel.
Use your flat brush to gently apply water to the circle in a circular motion and dab off with kitchen towel to faux bleach a moon shape. Dry the card with a heat gun. Use the Sparkle pen to fill in the moon and then tap your pen over the card to add some sparkly drops.
Dry your card again and then add Jet Black ink around the edges of the card to create a vignette, then dry it again.
Your card will look something like this..
Stamp and heat emboss the intuition sentiment from the Night Owl set as before. Lightly edge your sentiments using the blue ink that’s left on your blending foam and matt them onto black card with about 1.8″ border.
Here is my finished card…

Get Well Soon | Autumn Card
Hello! We have some gorgeous inspiration to share with you today… Stempelfrida has created a fantastic Get Well Soon card featuring our Forest and Bird stencils…
As you can see, I’ve really fallen in love with the set of stencil and mask with the bird from Visible Image. It’s so great that you have both the positive and the negative of the stencil in the set. One can use the set for so many different occasions. Today I have a get well card for you.

For my card I used two of the great new stencils/masks from Visible Image. The background is a forest, which I put horizontal. I covered my paper with the stencil and then sprayed two colours of Distress Oxides Spray over it.
When this was well dried, I put the bird mask on it and dabbed the edges with a sponge with distress oxides from the stamp pad. Thereby I always brushed the colour from the middle to the outside. Then I took off the mask and accentuated the contours with Polychromos. In the bird I stamped the writing from the set “Go To Words”.

Supplies
Stencils:
Stamps:
Other supplies
Stamp pads: Distress Oxides Ground espresso, Brushed corduroy
Sprays: Distress Oxides iced spruce, spiced marmalade
Polychromos 177, 169
This is such a gorgeous card stempelfrida and we love how you shaded around the mask from the ‘Time Flies’ set. There is a wonderful Autumn feel to it. Thank you ♡

Mindful Forest | Stencils
Hello! We are excited to be kicking off a new week packed full of gorgeous inspiration here on the blog! Now that all the orders for our gorgeous new stencils have been shipped (thank you for the love!), we can spend some time sharing all the amazing things our Design Team have created with them! First up this week is the lovely stempelfrida from Germany with a beautiful project created with ‘The Forest’ and ‘Words of Support’ stencils…

The basis of my card is a Gelli Plate print, which I designed with acrylic paint. To be honest, I didn’t find it soooooo exciting so that I did not use it directly. But that’s the way it is with Gelli Plate prints in my opinion, every single one finds his own purpose – at some point. And when I had the idea with the forest stencil, that was the time for this print. All of a sudden it was perfect. After all, this is something that is part of respecting nature: recycling.
So if you don’t like a Gelli Plate print at first sight, please do not throw it away, but just pick it up! At some point it will be THE right one for your project.
On this print I applied white structure paste with the forest stencil. I usually use an old check card. Sometimes I even cut them a bit thinner. As you can see on the photo, my paste is a bit coarser.
The word “mindful” I also applied on a piece of natural, fibrous paper, which I tore at the edges. It has a wonderful plum tone.

I’ve made a few different snap shots. On some of them the colours seem so bright. The sun just came through the thick clouds.
And look here, the impression in the forest changes as soon as it gets a little darker. Great, right? It’s really like that. If the light in the forest changes a little then the atmosphere in a forest suddenly appears completely different.

This is stunning stempelfrida! We agree this gelli print was made for this project and the colours are beautiful! Thank you ♡

The Forest | New Stencil
Hi! We are excited to preview more new stencils here on the blog today. Heather Mitchell has got her hands on ‘The Forest’ and ‘Time Flies’ to create 2 amazing cards…
Hello everyone…
Lots and lots of new Visible Image stamps sets and stencils out (or coming out) in the next couple of weeks and I’ve been really lucky to have been sent some of each to have a play with.  I’ll be honest, I was slightly over excited when they arrived… such an amazing release and Mark has done it again for #teamawesome.
So today I’m focussing on ‘The Forest’ stencil which is just beautiful, and I have 2 makes to share with you.  Once again, the quality of all the stencils is just amazing… perfect thickness… as I hate it when you spend out for stencils and they turn out to be all whispy and thin, don’t you?
I absolutely love the colours on this card and it was so easy to make.
The back ground is made using Distress Oxide Ink Pads in an Ombre effect using Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord and Picked Raspberry.  I then lightly tapped on some black indian ink for a bit of texture and some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Pretty Pink for some gentle sparkle… and  the light really reflects off the sparkle on the finished card.
Overlay the stencil and make another ombre effect using Black Soot, Hickory Smoke and Weathered Wood and ensure the inks are dry.
With the background complete, I used the foreground stamp from the Into the Woods stamp set and added Versafine Clair Glamorous to the bottom and their Warm Breeze to the trees.  I used a stamping platform for this as I wanted a real hit of colour so over the colours a couple of times.  When satisfied, I heat embossed them using WOW!’s amazing Clear Embossing powder.
For final touches, I heat embossed the cute little owl in black and then the sentiment, also from the Into the Woods set, onto black card, trimmed and added using foam tape.
My second make today starts off with a grey smooshed background using Distress Oxide ink pads in Hickory Smoke, Ice Spruce and Weathered Wood.  They’ve also been given the indian ink and Glimmer Mist treatment for extra interest.
I’ve done another ombre background on this card too but this time used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, faded Jeans and Dusty Concord,
I’ve then used Prima’s Graphite Texture Paste (which has a wonderful subtle gritty finish) with  the bird from the new ‘Time Flies’ stencil to create this dominating image over the card.
To finish, I used the little sentiment from the Break Free stamp set.
The fabulous new stencils are available to pre-order from this Friday 3rd July and are released on  17th July… and if you enter the current Facebook group challenge you could bag yourself £100 voucher… and that’s A LOT of stencils! Haha!!
Keep an eye out on all the socials for lots of inspiration.. the Visible Image instagram and Facebook page are full of sneaky peaks and makes.
I’ll be back soon with another new make to share.  thanks for reading!

Two fantastic cards Heather which showcase our new stencils brilliantly! The texture and sheen are stunning and we are loving that grit paste on the bird! Thank you so much Heather ♡
