Imagination | Mixed Media Card

Hello! We have our lovely Macarena here on the blog this evening with a gorgeous mixed media card with lots of layers…

Today’s card is all about our imagination which is endless and powerful.
Let’s spread the winds of your imagination and create.
I used some Visible Image stamps listed below.

I love this soft and light background made by stamping the feathers randomly with the same color of ink (distress oxide pumice stone) as the base color.

Stamps used:

eye stamp | collage | backgound      inky bird | stamp | book | feather

Have a lovely day!

This is a fantastic card, we love the subtle pastel tones and the gorgeous layers. Thank you Macarena ♡

Face Stamps | Ink Splats | Visible Image

Hi there! Thanks for visiting us today! Pauline Butcher is here to inspire you with a really imaginative card featuring our face stamps with our ‘Breaking Glass’ stencil and some of the stamps from our gorgeous ‘Free Your Imagination’ set…

It’s time for me to share something new I’ve created using some awesome Visible Image products, and this time it’s a 6″ x 6″ card.

So, I have mixed some of the new products with some of the older ones, just to show you that all the fabulous Visible Image products, mix and match together so well.

face stamps | handmade card

The Visible Image products I used on this card are:

Breaking Glass | Stencil | Smashed | Cracked

I started off with a piece of white card 5″ x 5″, and I stamped the closed eyes from the Face It stamp set, using a Wow Embossing pad, and heat embossed with Wow Primary Ebony Embossing powder. I then blended Mustard Seed Distress Ink, with a blending tool, around the outside of the card, and around the middle, leaving the white card showing around the eyes, I added a little Ripe Persimmon in places too.

I then stamped a few of the ink splats in different Distress colours, I also stamped with the small ink splat from the ‘Free Your Imagination’ set. Now for the stencil, as you can see from the photo’s I used Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink, gently blended through the Breaking Glass stencil…

…to just give an extra dimension to the card, looks good doesn’t it, I do love all the Visible Image stencils.

On a piece of old music paper, I stamped the book from the ‘Free Your Imagination’ set, using Versafine Onyx Black ink, and fussy cut it, then blended over it with some Tea Dye Distress Ink, to age it a little more.

On some white card, I stamped the feather Quill and the ink pot, again from the ‘Free Your Imagination’ set, with the Onyx Versafine, then coloured them with Clean Color Brush Pens, and fussy cut these too.

I adhered the fussy cut elements, to the card using 3D Glue Gel, and added some stickles to the Quill, and the eyes, for that extra bit of sparkle.

Thank you for visiting.

What a stunning card and fabulous combination of stamps. The book pages look brilliant and we love your gorgeous colour choices. The stencil really adds striking dimension too!  Thank you Pauline ♡

Free Your Imagination

Hello! We are so excited to start sharing the amazing cards and projects our Design Team are making with our new stamps! Jane Tyrrell could not wait to create with our ‘Free Your Imagination’ set, and we adore what Jane has made…

Today I am delighted to be sharing my first card made with one of the stamp sets from the brand new Visible Image release.

I decided to work with the  awesome Free Your Imagination. As soon as I saw this set I knew what I wanted to design and I could not wait to get it out of my head!

inky bird | stamp | quill | feather | ink | book

I made myself an inky drippy background using distress oxide inks in rainbow colours adding lots of water

When it was dry I stamped my bird in place using Versafine black ink

Next I stamped and cut out a couple of the books and layered one up.
I added book pages to the inside of one layer

and used an inky off cut to stamp the top pages. I added a foam pad for dimension. I also stamped out 3 ink pots and coloured them to match the ink drips

I let one of the ink pots spill out from under the bird

So here is my finished card…

inky bird stamp | old book | handmade card

bird | book | quill | ink pot | stamps

I really did let my imagination go wild with this one. I hope you might be temped to do the same! I have lots more ideas for this set too.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Back soon!

Bye for now,
Jane x
