Dreaming of a White Christmas

Hello! We have some alternative Christmas card inspiration for your today from Jane Tyrrell featuring our gorgeous Daydreaming girl stamp, who is dreaming of a white Christmas…

Good Afternoon!

The November challenge theme over in the Facebook group is  “Make it Sparkle”.  Although many of you might be thinking of fireworks, I am thinking ahead to Christmas and getting my stash of cards made.

I wanted to make something festive and sparkling using the lovely girl in the Daydreamer stamp set

I thought she might be dreaming about a white Christmas, so I set about making a snowy background for her.

I added some blue alcohol inks to glossy card and then added clear embossed the snowflakes from the Snow is Falling stamp set

I also used the brilliant circles from the Set the Tone stamp set

to create this snowy background..

I had the idea to have her at a window waiting for the magic of Christmas.

I die cut a window form Kraft card and stamped one of the Christmas sentiments from the Go To Christmas Words set

I put acetate in the windows for glass on which I clear embossed “ice” using the Two Tone stamp set again. Is it only me that remembers, before the days of central heating, that ice used to form on the inside of windows in the winter?!  I also added some DecoArt “snow” and added glitter to it.

I made a few of these windows and I have other plans for them too.

Of course I need a star to sparkle, well it is Christmas isn’t it?I used the star from the Peace,Love and Hope stamp set

and glitter gold embossed it onto my snowy background..

I stamped my daydreamer and fussy cut her out. I just added colour to her face, hat and hair. I added glossy accents to her glasses (seen in the final photos).

I then put my design together..

and one last shot..

And “what if” we really did have a white Christmas…….? We can daydream can’t we.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Back soon.

Daydreamer Stamp

Hello! Pauline Butcher is here on the blog today with a gorgeous card combining two of our new stamp sets…

Hi there,

I’m here again to share some Visible Image love, and as the Visible Image challenge theme this month is ‘Colours of Autumn’, I chose to use these orangey colours…

The stamp sets I’ve used on this card are…

The gorgeous Daydreamer stamp set

along with part of the awesome You Are Not Alone stamp set

I thought they would go together rather well, and send out a powerful message from the heart, that no one is alone.

I also used the dotty part of the Two Tone stencil

My background was created using some Distress Inks: Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, and Spiced Marmalade. I put them onto my craft mat, one by one, lightest to darkest, spritzed some water on them and pulled my card through, and dry. If there are any white spaces left, add some extra colour with a blending tool. To this background, I added the Stencil, and blended through with Picked Raspberry, then I added the circles from the ‘You Are Not Alone’ set, using black ink.

On a piece of black card, I stamped the sentiments with Versamark, and heat embossed them with White powder, and fussy cut. Onto white card I stamped the girl using Red ink, and the arm using Black ink, and fussy cut them too. With a black pen, I low-lighted some of the details on the girl, to give her some definition.

After putting the card together, and adding all the components, using a white pen, I highlighted all the circles, and added a star of light between the girl and the hand.

Thanks for popping in.

Hugs,
Pauline xxxxx

Daydreamer

Hi! We are so excited to show you some of the gorgeous inspiration our amazing team have been creating with our NEW stamps and stencils! Pauline Butcher has teamed up our fabulous Daydreaming girl stamp with our awesome new background stamps and grate-ful stencil…

Hello,

Today I’d like to share a card I’ve made using some of the superb brand new Visible Image stamps and stencils..

The new products I’ve use on this card are…

Daydreamer Stamp Set (I’ve christened her Dolly !!!!)

Set the Tone Stamp Set

set the tone - two tone - background stamps

I also used the new Grate-ful stencil

grate effect stencil

Firstly I brayered Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean Distress Inks on coated card stock, spritzed it with spray starch, enclosed it in clingfilm and left it to dry. Once dry, I used the Grate-ful stencil, and blended through it with Salty Ocean Distress ink, and edged it with Picked Raspberry.

Next I stamped the daydreaming girl stamp, onto this background, using Grey Versafine Ink, then using the smallest stamp from the ‘Set the Tone’ set, and Black Versafine ink, I stamped around the Daydreaming girl stamp, overlapping the edges.

On a separate piece of white card, I stamped another daydreaming girl, and my chosen sentiments, but this time using Black ink, I then coloured her using watercolour pens, and fussy cut.

I attached them all to the background card, using 3D glue gel, to give dimension.

Don’t you just love her? Well I do anyway !!!

Thanks for your visit.

Hugs,
Pauline xxxx
