Tiger Beer Tag | Triple Embossing

Hello and happy weekend to you! Ali is here on the blog today with fantastic tag featuring our BRING ON THE BEERS stamps with our awesome FEARLESS TIGER stamp…

This week I’m blogging beer… Tiger beer – when Mark mentioned brown beer bottles in a video, I thought of this one, brewed in Singapore, tried it when I was over there with work.

So here’s a grungy tag for a beer fan using the fab new ‘Bring on the Beers’ and ‘Fearless Tiger’ stamps with the ‘Strobes’ stencil…

Cut a large tag (159mm x 72mm) out of kraft card and 3 out of white card.

Stamp the tiger from the Visible Image Fearless Tiger set towards the top of the kraft tag in black versafine ink then heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Use a foam applicator to colour around the tiger with the blue Prize Ribbon distress ink.

Flick a little water over the tag, pick up the excess water with a paper towel.

Position the Visible Image Strobes stencil over the top half of the tag and apply a little gold pigment ink, avoiding the tiger.

Reposition the stencil over the bottom half of the tag and repeat.

Apply black ink around the edge of the tag to create a vignette

Stamp the large bottle from the Visible Image Bring on the Beers set twice with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Colour the bottle brown and the centre of the label orange on one.

Cut out the bottle and just the white label from the second bottle.

Cover the coloured bottle with versamark ink, tip clear embossing powder over it, tap off the excess and heat emboss with you heat tool.

Repeat this twice more to get a thick enamel like coating (triple emboss).

Stamp the glass with black versafine and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Colour in the beer, leaving the froth very light.

Use a clear sparkle pen over the glass for added bling.

Cut out your glass and triple emboss it as before.

Use pva glue to stick the 3 white tags together and then fix them to the back of your tiger tag.

This will give the tag a solid, mdf like effect.

Use your finger to apply Pebeo empire gold gilding was around the edges of your tag and around the embossed glass and bottle.

Leave them to dry for about 5 minutes then buff with a paper towel.

Stamp the ‘Cheers’ sentiment onto black card and heat emboss with gold embossing powder then trim with scissors.

Use a green sparkle pen to colour the tiger’s eyes and to add a dashed line around your tag and sentiment.

Fix the beer glass, bottle and sentiment to your tag using 3d foam pads.

Use pva or 3D glue gel to fix the white and orange bottle label over the triple embossed bottle.

Glue a few sequins around the tag.

Apply Stardust stickles to the beer foam and leave to dry – up to an hour.

Finally, tie a ribbon to your tag and and admire your finished piece.

Really cool tag design! The triple embossing on the bottle and glass looks so good, and loving the green of the tigers eyes enhanced by the sequins. Thank you for your fantastic tutorial Ali ♡
