Cheshire Cat + T-Shirt Stamps | Tag
Hello! We have stempelfrida here on the blog today with a fantastic project featuring our Cheshire Cat + T-Shirt stamps [the t-shirt is so versatile and a ‘must have’ for your crafty stash!].
I like to colour characters and this cheshire cat has inspired me. Today I have therefore combined two favourite stamps: The shirt and the cat. … and yes! with bright colors, just the way I like it: colorful, flashy and bizarre.
First I stamped the t-shirt stamp with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink [a light shade of purple] on black card stock. I fussy cut it, and coloured it with Polychromos pencils [you can see it in the later pictures].
I stamped the Cheshire Cat stamp head with Ink on 3 and coloured it with Copics and Polychromos. After fussy cutting, I painted the edges black, where the white paper shone through.
My background this time is a tag and not a card. The colours are acrylic paints that I applied with a brush. After drying, I drew the black borders.
The text, which is also included in ‘The Cheshire Cat’ stamp set, I stamped with a Versafine stamp pad.
I stamped the cat’s eyes several times with Ink on 3, coloured them with Copics and Polychromos, fussy cut them and attached them to the background with 1 mm spacer pads. Likewise the teeth on the top right.
The white scratches are painted with a Sakura pen.
I glued a black ring of cardstock onto the hole of the tag and then pulled through various ribbons. I then attached the cut-off text vertically to the tag.
