Elaine Place
I started in the papercraft world over 10 years ago and my card making style has always been clean and simple. Since retiring at the end of 2019, and throughout the lockdowns, I have been trying out mixed media and in particular art journaling. I enjoy learning new techniques and try to incorporate them into my card making. I love the freedom that you get from mixed media – adding layers and layers of ‘interesting’ stuff!

Elaine’s stunning clean and simple cards, often with a grungy edge to them, really stood out to us ♡
Elaine created her beautiful card by firstly stamping and heat embossing part of the FIBONACCI stamp. The flower from our CREATIVE CHAOS set was also stamped and heat embossed, fussy cut and layered on top of the background element. Elaine then added some gorgeous water colouring using 2 colours of distress inks. The ‘best wishes’ sentiment was stamped onto a separate strip of card and adhered over the flower stem to finish.
