Life Can Be Tough | Sentiment Stamp

Hi there, thank you for visiting our blog today. Ericka Strange is here with an awesome card featuring a sentiment which is so meaningful, especially at the moment… life can be tough, but my darling so are you.

Happy Thursday and I hope you are all doing well. This was my inspiration for the ‘Red White and Blue’ challenge over in the Visible Image Facebook group.

I started out by smooshing Distress Ink in Candied Apple and Salty Ocean on my craft mat and picking up the ink with Bristol Smooth paper.

Once my background dried, I added the safety pin stamp from the Don’t Judge set with Archival Black ink. It’s been a tough year for all of us and in the United States (as many countries) we’ve have been through other hard times and have come through stronger.  I like the look of the tears being held together with safety pins signifying our past tough times as a nation but we’re still strong.

I used the Stars and Stripes stencil with texture paste and added WOW! Embossing White Twinkle for some pretty shine.

I finished my card with the sentiment from the Brave & Strong stamp set which I think is perfect for the time we are going through with COVID-19.
