Guitar Stamp | Music Speaks
Good Morning! We hope you are doing ok today. Stempelfrida is here to inspire you today with an awesome card featuring the guitar stamp from our ‘Music Speaks’ stamp set, which is not only great for anyone who loves music, but for those hard to make ‘guy cards’ too!
When words fail music speaks – this seems to come from my soul.
Music really hits me to the core, and this is what I wanted to capture with my card.
I inked the guitar stamp in several colours of Distress Oxides with sponges and stamped it. For this I used a stamping platform so that I could rework all areas that might not have seemed perfect to me at the first try. Then I cut it out and fixed it with spacer pads on the background, which was designed with acrylic paints and a gelli plate. I cut off two edges from the background so that I could glue it a little crooked on the white base card.

Under the guitar I glued a die cut swirl as well as the edge pieces of the background, which I had cut off at the sides.
Now you probably want to know how I designed the background exactly, but unfortunately I can’t show you any pictures of it, because I didn’t want to touch my mobile phone with acrylic paint inky fingers. But I can try to describe a few areas to you. At the top left you can see for example the light blue spots. I had worked with blue paint and a stencil and wiped it with water. I dipped my background into the water-colour mixture from washing.

The green stripes, which can also be seen at the top left (and elsewhere), are from a stencil called ‘Collision’, which I also used for a different background and which still had the green colour adhering to it. I just pressed it again here on my cardstock.
I made the blue area on the right with a round Gelli Plate and the star from the ‘Stars and Stripes’ stencil. I also inserted the blue arc, which is mirrored with it. The greenish spots at the bottom left are from the ‘Fibres’ stencil.
So you see, there is a lot to discover on my card today.
Stamp pads: Distress Oxides wild honey, twisted citron, peacock feathers
Dies: Sizzix 660222 Scribbles & Splat
Acrylic Paint
Stencils: Visible Image Stars and Stripes, Collison, Fibres

This is such an awesome background for these stamps! So much texture and interest, we love it! Thank you stempelfrida ♡
